Wait, are we sneaking or fighting?

I highly doubt we can sneak the prisoners out, as they're likely injured and/or malnourished, depending on how and when they were captured. The only purpose of sneaking, IMO, would be to put us in a favorable position for a devastating first strike.

Elsa, as always, is better off at the rear of the party and with a height advantage. She's an arrow magnet.

A distinct possibility, though by the time they do return, we'll have dealt with those in the ravine. So at least they won't outnumber us too badly at any one time.

The key to dealing with numerous opponents is to fight them piecemeal.

By my count that's 4 crits in the surprise round. Definitely gonna use Sudden Death for these gobbos.

+10 crit from Ortwin: (1d100)[8] (I think with the Unaware bonus he does hit and get the benefit of that Fury) - dead
+9 crit from Elsa - I forgot to roll the dice but +9 is always dead with SD (same as the +10 above really)

I also count 5 other injured gobbos, which I guess means only one gobbo in the hollow has escaped the surprise round unscathed. I'm assuming there that since she doesn't have any non-blackpowder ranged weapons Jarla isn't joining in the opening volley, although she still has those actions to spend if she wants to be doing other stuff.

@rax can I suggest you put a 'character sheet' for Bardhyl's followers somewhere in this thread, similar to TheSummoner's sheet for the Thorns? I found their Ag by going back in my PM inbox which is not a safe long-term record!

Resolving Ludo's round 1 - I'm assuming since his target from the surprise round is stunned he'll probably switch targets. Two more +2 crits: (1d100)[86], (1d100)[36] - this gobbo is knocked down, winded, and gets an incapacitated hand.

And assuming that was the unscathed goblin that means every goblin in the hollow has now been hit with some kind of missile.

By the way, I think LCP allows us to FP re-roll hits after rolling for damage. So you could re-roll that possible Fury that failed to hit. (If you think it's worth it against mere goblins, and keeping in mind we might run into the rest of the clan on the way out.)

Edit: Since Bardhyl's words and actions immediately follow the spear-goblin's "we've got stabbas", I'll delete my last IC post and have Elsa arrive on the next turn.
