R3T8: Akif grins inside the helm as the first one falls, then looks to the southeast where he can hear more fighting, even if he can't see. On his long legs he bounds that way closing, but all of the vegetation and his own massive size get in the way of him getting to the monster.

End Round 3, Begin Round 4 ...

R4T18: The Scribe continues his oration, zooms to the east and effortlessly puts his lance into the mass of vegetation for 16 + 2 fire, and then turns north and continues several feet. He is many feet away and stops when the monster finally falls.

R4T16: Sisir, what do you do? Both monsters are down.

Sisir grins and nods to his brother, before walking past him and fixing his gaze on any new foes he sees.

Move Action: Move 5' East, 10' South, 5' East, to end up East of Akif.

Swift Action: If Sisir sees an enemy, Hypnotic Stare on them. It takes -3 to Will Saves and Attack Rolls. If the target is immune to mind-affecting effects, then it +2 to any related saves and have a 50% chance to ignore the Stare's effect every round.


Tricks: If anyone with Mask Misery implanted become affected by any of the following conditions activate Mask Misery: Confused, dazed, frightened, sickened. If anyone with Mesmeric Mirror is attacked or targeted by a spell which requires an attack roll, trigger Mesmeric Mirror, creating two images with each image lasting for 8 minutes or until destroyed.


Other: Should Sisir fail to trigger Painful Stare twice on his own turn, he will attempt to trigger it any time the target of his Hypnotic Stare gets hit before his next turn, up to a maximum of two time in the round. Every such activation will deal 4 precision damage, and force a DC 20 Will Save vs becoming Confused for 1 round, for which it rolls twice to determine its actions while confused, and I choose which roll to use.


Confusion Preferences In Order: attack self, do nothing, attack nearest, act normally.

Iluvar moves to the East and then North. Looking for threats. "Does anyone see a threat? If not, keep an eye on these creatures."

R4T15: Iluvar moves to the northeast. Looking for threats. "Does anyone see a threat? If not, keep an eye on these creatures."

He casts a spell over his wounds, but senses nothing amiss.

Akif breathes in, taking a deep breath as he surveys the garden. He'll scan the windows of the building carefully in case there is anyone waiting to ambush them and keep his shield raised. A cautious, "Is there anything else here that you wish to do in this house or shall we take our troll back to where he belongs?"

"We're done here," says the Scribe. "We should go back through town with Augustille .... carry out loot as well ... inventory it out there. In public. In the bar. For all to see ... not to rub greed in stranger's faces, but as a show of strength that even the Ardocs better not seek filial vengeance.

"Iluvar, can you think of anything else here?"

[Tippnick]

Iluvar says, "Can we gather the dead and lay them out, maybe even do this in front of the building? I will say a few things to even grace their way to the Boneyard."

"No. That is your religious observance, not mine," says the Scribe, "and this Hanging Manse isn't in walkways other would notice. Let the family deal with the corpse, but if I am not treating an enemy's corpse with honor, then I keep it where it lays."

[Tippnick]

"Fine, I will be done with this house then. Let us return our find to where he belongs."

[Qazgir]

Sisir

"Very well, let us leave this place. Brother if you would take the lead, I will follow just after you."

Akif nods, "As you say Brother, let us go. This place was not enjoyable." he spins the spear, flexes his arms from where he was so sorely wounded and heads back towards the entranceway. Before he leaves the garden he'll also pause ad concentrate, shrinking back to down his merely towering 7ft form to fit back through the doors.

Back you go ... precious cargo and valuable cargo both in possession, and Myki guides you back the circuitous way you came to get to the Sorry Excuse. Unfortunately, Augustille constantly falls into a rabid insanity, so the party has to subdue him .... probably some wounds to show but none too bad as a single adolescent troll doesn't offer quite so much fight. You knock him unconscious, and Akif will heft him while his brother carries his spear.

The Scribe guides him up to his personal room and Myki looks over him as well. They determine that his touch on reality is really bent right now ... not just the trauma, but he has a whole cocktail of inciting and psychotropic drugs in his system that have to work their way out.

[Tippnick]

"Next step is to contact our troll's family. Myki, can you contact them?", asks Iluvar.

"Umm, no-o," says Myki in a vaguely sing-song way on the last word. "I'm the lamplighter who helped you on the job, and is looking for her share. You guys interface with the client. Besides, you should probably wait until he's lucid before that."

[Tippnick]

"Fair enough, I was not thinking of leaving out of the share. Sorry, I put that thought into your head.", Iluvar apologizes.

[DrK]

Akif looks at the still semi-mad troll. ”Very well. Let’s stash him safely until he recovers. He is of the jotun blood so should recover quickly.”

”Shall we examine our collected treasures and eat and drink whilst this troll gets better enough to speak to his kin.”

The Scribe wants to wait until Augustille has cleared the drugs from his system .... mainly because identification duties are primarily going to fall upon him (and Myki).

Akif nods, happy to wait, though will make sure to get some food and drinks to help them recover. As they wait he looks to Myki and the Scribe. "You are handy and powerful adventurers. What are your next plans? I am curious to see more of this land."

"I am a lamplighter," says Myki, "and I am a servant of Kaer Maga's people - to light the dark places."

The Scribe seems a little more confused by the question. "You forget, Akif Vedavyasa .... you and your brother were hired for share-of, excepting the artifacts themselves we seek as we take them in custody for the Pathfinder Society ... as my associate Iluvar perform our mission as far as it will take us in Kaer Maga, and beyond. The question is turned around to you and your brother. I am sure we can use the help for continuance .... and you, Myki, for our term in Kaer Maga."

"That is acceptable to me," says Myki.

[Tippnick]

"We extricated the troll in payment for information about the artifact we are seeking. Hopefully this information leads us to it.", Iluvar states

Akif taps his head, "Apologies Illuvar. The clockwork solider may have delivered too many blows to my head." He looks at Myki, "Can you tell us more of these lamp lighters in this city then?". He'll continue to make small talk, mainly with requests of where to go or fats about the city as they wait for the dugs to clear the troll's system and they can get their clue of where to go next

Myki explains that since there is no law in Kaer Maga, but there is a need for justice to keep things from being lawless, the Lamplighter's Guild is a guild of investigators who are publicly and privately funded to look into mysterious goings-on. Since there isn't always steady work, they actually work as the literal lighters of the lamps in most sections of the city come evening, and douse them in the morning.

Several hours later, the Scribe guides an unsteady Augustille down to the Sorry Excuse's common room ... which garners all sorts of strange looks, but only for a courtesy second in the City of Strangers. He is exceptionally thankful and apologetic. Augustille is a cultured troll, though with a haunted look in his eyes and a tendency to stare off into space or break off mid-sentence as mystic visions take hold of him.

"Unless anyone has any questions, now that our patient has worked out the drugs in his system," says the Scribe, "we now have to deliver our precious cargo to the Augur Temple in Downmarket. Everyone coming along?"

Myki is coming. Anyone else?

[Tippnick]

Iluvar comes along. Iluvar would expend his his spells healing himself and anyone else who needed it.

Even using his most powerful magic to cast lower-order miracles, Iluvar completely empties himself out, getting a headache and a bloody nose. Akif, Myki, and Sisir now only have light wounds.

Akif and Sisir, will you be joining, or holding down the fort at the Sorry Excuse while the boss-men finish off their mission?

"Yes, let us return him to his family." Sisir stands, stretches, and gets ready to leave.

And with Sisir, Akif will follow. The group leaves the Sorry Excuse and walk the main thoroughfare that divides the Widdershins from Hospice and down to the waterfront. From there, it is the road that parallels the Hospice homes that skirt the shore and into Downmarket. From there, Myki leads you to the Augur Temple in Downmarket.

Vargun and the rest of the Augurs are ecstatic to see their friend alive, and walk quickly down to meet him and the PCs at the steps of their white, columned temple. In return for this aid, Vargun has already employed her network to discover a promising lead regarding the lost shard of the Sihedron. Before she can relate it, however, the crowd of trolls steps back as Augustille falls to the ground in the grips of what looks like a seizure, his back arched and lips frothing. In a hoarse bellow, he cries out the following prophecy in Aklo (which Vargun promptly translates as only The Scribe and Myki speak so esoteric a language).

The owl will seek but will not find,
but spire of knowledge pays in kind
in secret kept in secret keep
in forest dark and cavern deep.

The abbey of the glutton moon
will flow with blood, the wind in tune
to finish that begun before
and open wide the doomsday door.

The shattered star with seven shards
for seven lords with seven swords

When Augustille is finished, his body relaxes and he returns to his senses. The other Augurs nod sagely and help him up, leading him into the temple. Vargun informs the PCs that they’ve witnessed a genuine prophecy, and that she suspects this one is for them.

Akif listens curiously at the rambling and then looks on. He glances at the others, ””What do you think it means?” he asks at large to the others. “I confess I am intrigued!” he states looking to his brother

"Maybe it tells of the challenges facing us as we seek the pieces of this star the prophecy speaks of." ,Iluvar muses
