IC I think we're waiting for one of the (Ex) flyers to get back up and either carry us or let Kia teleport everyone to them. If we want to move things along, given a couple rounds Kia can also teleport everyone out herself using Mirror Demon's Waltz and Reunion in Dreams. I guess she'll do that, if no one has any objections, and we can go check out this Overlook Tower to try and find Ahazu.

As for the Knowledge Planes check on the fortress, it reveals the following:

When Ulricon of the Fraternity of Order found the place, it was abandoned. Now it is believed to be haunted byt he spirits and wraiths of his followers. The fortress is believed to hold a scale model of the entire layer. Many demons believe that it contains the means to open any pit, but if so, no one has figured out how to do it. The fortress was constructed by Ahazu the Seizer, but was all but destroyed by Orcus after Ahazu's forces tried to imprison him in tribute to their master. The varrangoins you have seen are part of a tribe that has taken over the citadel, though they are often mistaken for the undead inhabitants, and they are supposedly protective of some great secret deep within the citadel. Ulricon and his forces were forced to flee after attempting to bind Ahazu himself. In failing, they summoned the Spawn of Hazu, who are responsible for the occasional appearances of the wraiths and spectres. The fate of Ulricon is unknown.
