Short version of what we've been doing is that a demon lord hired us to rescue a consort of hers because her being imprisoned makes the Demon Lord look bad. Theres definitely more to it than that, but thats the high-level gist.

I forgot to say it earlier, but I finalized my PC's spells for the day and am ready to go. If anyone has a cleric spell they'd like in future days' adventuring, just let me know.

Before that first post I also tweaked her familiar by swapping in the sage familiar archetype, so if that's not okay just let me know so I can change it back.

I am back. I apologise for being absent, but I have been organising and hosting my partner's 60th birthday for most of the last week. The perception roll didn't show anything beyond the succubus beneath the water. The remnants of her fine clothes suggest this is likely Shami-Amourae.

@paradox26: Zealots gain an ability called Compartmentalized Aid that specifically allows them to use Aid Another for themselves ... but actually now that I go back and check, the ability only calls out as applying to AC/attack rolls. So using it for her own skill checks is indeed not allowed. I will stop doing so in the future, sorry about that.

Lots of places around The Gulf of Mexico. I live in Houston, Tx and we sail out of Galveston so no big trip to get on the boat for me.

At least one of you has Extraordinary flight ability, I think. So you can just catch a lift one at a time and rise out of the pit, staying away from the burrows in the sides.

Kia can teleport people out past it once one flyer gets out, the same way she got in, and not waste any per day resources, so no troubles there.

(Alternately, she could fairly easily Yeet everyone out since it's only a few hundred feet and force imparted outside an AMF isn't negated, but I'm assuming people would prefer not to do that).

I am glad to see you guys have moved forward on this. Every time i think I have time and energy for a PBP, life accepts the challenge and makes things complicated.

My wife has had a number of ongoing health issues for many years now but things got bad during the break in this game and she passed peacefully in her sleep yesterday at home with family. That leaves me taking over a household with 1 adult and 4 minor children when she had previously taken care of all the bills/paperwork/etc so I don't see myself having time for a game in the foreseeable future. I hope everyone is well, happy gaming!
