"Not your damn pincushion..." Aroden mutters. Watching Mordren hustle by, the swordsman follows quickly after, seeking a new quarry.

Standard and Move: Double move NW (NW, NW, NW, which I think is his limit, unless he would pass through the goblin's threatened range, in which case he will stop at the first available square).

Swift: If he can see green then he will activate his Stare as a swift action (-2 to will saves, may activate painful stare).

Conditionals:
- Will activate ally's mesmeric mirror as a free action in response to that ally being attacked
- If staring at Goblin Green, will activate Painful Stare as a free action in response to the first successful attack made against them (+1 damage)
- Will use Oaken Shield as an immediate action if attacked

He fails to avoid the burning goblin (1 fire), adjusts some at a broken wall, then continues northwest into another wall, and still sees neither Mordren nor goblin.

He picks his way over the uneven floor, trying to cut off one of the goblins.

R4T20: "Watch the door!" Grathar calls out. He picks his way over the uneven floor, trying to cut off one of the goblins.

R4T19: Reiko comes out of delay, concern in her eyes. She tries to administer first aid, despite having no training. "I, I don't know what to do..."

To her credit, she does the absolute best she can ... which helps, but not enough as she only halves the bleed effect, but doesn't stop it.

R4T16: Bríg, you still take 4 bleed, enough to put you unconscious. One one hand, everyone else abandoned you to continue fighting; on the other hand, the least qualified person did the very best they could. As darkness takes you and you fall into Reiko's arms, you can say no more than a handful of words if you desire, not a full allotment of speech, and you may perform no actions (as this is a dramatic allowance, as technically you are KO'd before you can take any actions). You don't have the power for more than a whisper. Do you say anything?

R4T12: From the room to the southwest, the horsechopper strikes again, this time slashing Reiko in the upper left shoulder for 9.

"Goblin in there!" points Reiko to the door southwest of her.

R5T24: Goblin green drops their bow, readies their shield, and goes on the defense with that shield.

"A healer here!" Reiko now points to the fallen, bloody Bríg.

Mordren snarls and puts her bodyweight into a heavy punch at her foe.

R5T22: Mordren snarls and puts her body's weight into a heavy punch at her foe. Her fist slams into the shield, but so much power is behind it that the goblin is sent back against the wall behind it to strike its head for 9 as blood spatters from the back of its head and it falls, incapacitated.

Turning back south in response to Reiko's call, Aroden's eyes dart between Brig's limp form and the rusted polearm thrusting through the door timbers. Taking care to avoid the burning goblin this time, he stumbles back over the rubble

"Get her out of here! We'll handle that monster!" he bellows.

Grathar watches in satisfaction as the goblin's blood coats the wall. He turns back to see Bríg on the ground.

"Hang on!" Grathar calls out.

R5T20: Grathar watches in satisfaction as the goblin's blood coats the wall. He turns back to see Bríg on the ground. He calls out, "Hang on!"

He retrieves his healer's kit from his backpack, and then moves closer.

R5T19: Reiko acrobatically moves to the eastern side of Bríg, and then drags her away a few feet.

R5T17: The remains of the surely-dead Goblin Blue are burning brightly now.

R5T16: Even slowed down as it was, blood is still gushing from Bríg.

Gritting his teeth and bracing for the worst, Aroden cautiously makes his way further south, tossing his torch through the yawning portal to get a better view.

"Grathar," he calls, "Can you tend to Bríg?"

Aroden will move 10 feet south and throw his torch, targeting the square 10 feet west of him. If acquires line of sight to the goblin's position he will activate his hypnotic stare as a swift action.

Ranged Attack (1d20+4)[11]

If he is attacked during this movement or as a result of the ranged attack then he will activate his mesmeric mirror trick as a free action, as I do not believe it has been used yet. Likewise, if Grathar or Mordren are attacked due to their movements he will also activate their mesmeric mirrors.

If he is attacked after his turn he will counter with Oaken Shield.

R6T21: Gritting his teeth and bracing for the worst, Aroden cautiously makes his way further south. No sooner does he hit his intended mark, then something to the west had waited for something or someone to get to that very mark before launching an attack. Again, by not seeing the launched attack, Aroden is caught completely by surprise when a goblin horsechopper lances out to hamstring Aroden in upper right leg with a soft crit for 13. Aroden gives a cry of pain and falls to the ground, bleeding next to Bríg's bleeding form. Aroden's sword and torch fall from his hands.

Grathar continues on towards his fallen teammate.

"Someone deal with that blasted goblin.." Grathar barks.

Move Action: Grathar will use his healer's kit on Bríg if she is in reach of his new position. If not, then he'll use it on Aroden if they are in reach.

R6T20: Grathar continues on towards his fallen teammate, and finds he can't walk through walls and has to go around, and that ends up making him have to double move, so he ends up continuing to Bríg. Frustrated, he barks, "Someone deal with that blasted goblin!"

R6T19: Reiko stands astride Bríg but being sure Grathar has room to work, and picks up Aroden's dropped torch.

R7T22: Mordren continues her retreat with her eyes peeled for the troublesome goblin. As soon as she stops by the door into the turret, she sees the little bugger and lashes out at her with a fist to the head for 11. It is a powerful blow, but this commando is a little tougher than the warriors that the PCs just chewed through, and she keeps her feet.

R7T21.5: She takes a risk by stepping back in the difficult terrain, but that risk doesn't pay off as Mordren punches her in the stomach for 7, dropping her.

R7T20: Grathar, you have a lit torch in one hand, and a healer's kit in the other. Reiko is standing over Bríg to protect her, but this does not interfere with any lifesaving efforts you might give. What do you do?

"Torag's Great Forge! I've never seen that much blood before." Grathar blurts out.

Grathar drops the torch out of the way and rips open his healer's kit.

R7T20: "Torag's Great Forge! I've never seen that much blood before." Grathar blurts out as he paces back and forth, dropping the torch out of the way and ripping open his healer's kit. He kneels down by Bríg and gets to work. He has not stopped the bleeding.

R7T19: Reiko gets to the other side of Grathar and Bríg. Grabbing some bandages from Grathar's healer's kit, she likewise tries to stop Aroden's bleeding, but fails.

R7T16: Before Grathar and Reiko's eyes, Bríg takes another 4 bleed + 1 bleed from dying. The blood loses pressure and force, and finally stops. And since Grathar is still mid-attendance to her, he realizes he has lost her.

Bríg is dead, though her dark indigo light is still on her clothing.

"I'm sorry. I'm ...sorry." Grathar says quietly. He shifts his attention to Aroden.

Grathar catches his breath.

"I think I've stopped the worst of the bleeding. We should make sure the goblins are finished off. Then check them for items and take anything of value. We need to decide if we are holing up here or dragging Aroden back to town." Grathar suggests.

Grathar glances over at the body of Bríg and sighs deeply. He pans his head, looking around the room from where he was crouched.

The prior day's kills are NOT present. Reiko goes around and dispatches the goblins, but lets the burning goblin continue to burn and smolder.
