Lazarus, Aura: Toughness (DR 2/magic)
Lazarus updates his assessment:
It must be the study of a ... gigantic hippie.
Pull the censer out of the rubble.
Any chance we can use the censer as a giant sized smelly flail?
Try swinging it by the chain (if there is a chain on the end).
Is there any incense left in the censer?

OOC; If it it is about 150 pounds I can carry in around... My medium load is 200 pounds and my current gear doesnt weigh 50....... So I'm too stupid to think of this but If someone wants it Argal would be up for it.

To Argal:
We could use it to detect traps!
You just throw it hard at the door and ....
Uh oh, looks like Todd is eager to get to the next room. The door's open (door in North wall of A73) so Lazarus can get up there with him and look through it with longspear ready.

Re: The world's largest dungeon
It appears that no one is in the room. Will post the description if you decide to enter it.
Also, the censer appears to be of one piece, no chains or anything. If Argal wants to get it, he gets it. But think he will dump it if something more valuable would pop up in the meantime.
Just a reminder, someone should appraise items in the party, because some may actually be worth something, and some would just be booby prizes.**** Photobucket ; RIP avatars

Lazarus tries to lift the censor over his head but it's a bit too heavy until he takes off the backpack that belonged to the dead cleric.
Yeah if I run and throw this at a door.... no more traps! He throws it down hard towards the southern door in room A73.
SpoilerHope that wasn't something useful!
Alright enough messin' round. Next room!
Lazarus puts his pack back on and enters the room to the North holding his longspear.

Re: The world's largest dungeon
Lazarus estimates that the ring is about 280 Gp, and the deck of cards...kinda the value of 4 playing cards (still dont have any info about the item...). Also, the Censer seems to take some beating....only an excentric collector would buy it at this time...
Entering the room, Lazarus triggers a trap and colors fly everywhere.

Woah! That was a bit intense.
Assuming there's no enemy spotted using the previous rolls Lazarus backs out of the room. Hey I wonder if it keeps doing it again and again? Then he goes back into the room (unless Dribble wants to stop him setting off the trap again).
SpoilerI dare say there were people right behind me but not entering the room. Does the spray effect reach into room A73 where the rest are standing?

Re: The world's largest dungeon
Seems that Lazarus is unaffected...what a surprise there ...and begins inspecting the room.
Although this room is covered with dust and rubble like all the others, you can make out images on the walls. You can clearly see the lines of a secret door in the east wall, with about a dozen iron spykes driven into the space between the door and the doorsill. Due to the spikes, the STR chck required to open the door is 37. Each spike is wedged in tight and requires a 23 STR check to remove (with proper tools, it drops to 15...like a sledgehammer and a pry bar). Lazarus also notices a glint in the rubble.
Map:
Spoiler
Edit, yes it does...and it would probably reset over time...or instantaneously...Lazarus does not trigger it again...Last edited by Bayar; 2008-01-22 at 04:52 PM.

Re: The world's largest dungeon
*slight dictating of others actions.
Dribble and Argal (once he has recovered if neccicery) head over to the spikes and begin pulling on one.
"Heeaave" he almost groans as he pulls, one leg braced against the wall.
Argals aid another check (1d20+4)[20]
Dribbles Strength check (1d20+4)[8] +2 if Argal gets a 10 or higher.
Ooc; assuming theres nothing important, can we just take 20 and get the spiked out that way?Last edited by Yeril; 2008-01-22 at 05:03 PM.

SpoilerHe's annoying isn't he?
lazarus has a self-esteem problem
Argal has a crowbar in his inventory btw so it will be very easy to remove the spikes.
Looks like someone really didn't want people coming through this door from the other side.....
Noticing the glint in the rubble, Lazarus' laser like concentration on the all important "screw around with the colour spray trap" project is broken:
Oooh! shiny! what is it?
Does he need to shift the rubble to get at it?Last edited by DavidByron; 2008-01-22 at 04:59 PM.

Appraise bust golden goblet - (1d20+2)[6]
Ha. More crap that would be worth something if we could ever get out of this dump. Lazarus throws the golden cup down with a satisfying 'clank'.
Since he can't get the trap to trigger again Lazarus picks up the golden goblet, curses, and then throws it at the wall while Argal and Dribble are enthusiastically ripping iron spikes out of the wall with the crowbar.
These iron spikes are worth more to us right now.

Think I wrote something wrong above...the image IS the secret door...with lines and everything...and the goblet is worth about 12 GP, if melted...

in room A74
Lazarus waits for the six iron spikes to be removed, picking them up when they are pried from the wall. While he is waiting he fiddles with the stuff in his pockets and puts the ring on to see if it does anything.
Spoilerhint: if you really hate him I'd make it a ring of reversing gender.

Maybe we'll finally get to kill something today. Whatever was being kept out. What's our marching order here? How about Orcs in front, Tolsimir and me in 2nd rank with our reach weapons. Or does that bunch all our fighters together too close in case of a trap or a spell?
Lazarus grabs up his longspear and gets ready for the next room (through the secret door East of A74) leaving the bent golden goblet for anyone who wants it.

Lazarus, Aura: Toughness (DR 2/magic)
SpoilerI don't think Argal entered simultaneously with Lazarus and Dribble did he? It was an empty room so there'd be no reason for us all to rush in bunched up. but if Argal is zapped we'd only have to wait about one minute for him to recover.
Upon seeing Argal produce an entire battering ram from his back pack:
What the French* is that?!
Man you must have a ton of stuff back there. What else ya got in here?
I dunno though... I'm always happy to smash something up, but it might be a bit loud and it looks like there might actually be something dangerous somewhere on the other side of this door. I'd rather we find it than it find us. How about using your crowbar there?
