Lazarus, Aura: Toughness (DR 2/magic)
How you doin' back there mate? I guess it isn't too smart to let one of our best fighters wander off alone without the power of the dragon to protect 'im.
SpoilerI suppose Argal takes his second poison Fort save about now?
You take (1d3)[2] Temporary CON damage...roll a fort check after 1 minute (10 rounds, or take another 1d3 CON damage...
I guess Argal doesn't look too bad...Lazarus follows Drah'ble around through room 5, into the corridor to the East there and tries to open the door that leads South.
I wonder if we should check f.... oops JINXLast edited by DavidByron; 2008-02-27 at 09:20 AM.

Re: The world's largest dungeon
The triggered trap dishes out an acid arrow that hits everyone in the hallway.
Feel free to take (2d4)[4] damage this round and (2d4)[7] damage next round.
Coils of rope, barrels with nails, and open crates with tools are lined up against the walls. Although the air is damp, there is no mold on any of the items.**** Photobucket ; RIP avatars

"I really, really should've checked that door," Matthias says before he drops to the ground, unconscious.

Re: The world's largest dungeon
well, Lazarus was the one who triggered it. Dunno about the others, it is in the corridor leading to the door.
So dunno, if you want to be there you can, if not, you dont get hit. Lazarus is hit.
No save, touch succeded.**** Photobucket ; RIP avatars

Lazarus, Aura: Vigor (Fast Healing 1 if <half HPs)
Lazarus gets hit by the first arrow.
Damnit! I knew I should have taken acid resistance instead of that talky stuff.
SpoilerTakes him down from 11 hp to 7 hp -- the DR doesn't work against acid, just physical damage. He changes to the healing aura.
Lazarus gets hit by the second arrow.
((Lots of swearing))
Medic!
Ah right, that's me.
SpoilerThis was pretty close. Lazarus is taken down to exactly 0 hp which means he is ... staggered is it? About the same time he gets healed up to 1 hp. I beleive he gets healed first so he could have taken perhaps 1 hp more damage and stayed conscious. If the arrow had done 2 hp more -- either of them -- Lazarus would probably have fallen unconscious and therefore his healing aura would have failed leaving both him and Todd dying and no medic. As it is within one minute they are both healed magically up to half health and as it is magical healing Todd should regain consciousness immediately upon regaining 0 hp, or is it 1 hp?
Half health for Lazarus is 9 hp and for Todd it's 5 hp.

Lazarus, Aura: Toughness (DR 2/magic)
Switching back to the DR aura when he and Todd are as healthy as they'll get with the half-heal aura.
Well that was a close one. You're right Todd this is time to get serious. We need a better way to deal with all these traps and I need to quit opening doors. I normally figure I'm tough enough to take whatever's coming but this place is pretty bad ass.
And what did we get for our trouble here?
Lazarus thoroughly searches the room with the rope and crates and barrels (this room not shown on map: to the South of the circled corridor and East of A4).

Re: The world's largest dungeon
.. Dribble moves around the corner, admiring his new gold ring which he claimed effortlessly as the DM moved onto other things without resolving what ever happened to the orc.
"Owch, that looks like it burns. Shiny ring"

Re: The world's largest dungeon
Argal, who had been watching from the outside of the room due to his fear of the mushrooms now carefully walks through the room touching nothing and into the new corridor/room where the mushrooms have stopped;
Phew! Mushrooms give tummy ache. Now to find bad things to kill!

Re: The world's largest dungeon
You find a barrel full of nails, almost all rusty, about 500 Ft of rope, that is kinda old (hardness 0, HP 1) and tools that could form 10 stonemasons tools.
No other doors are in the room.**** Photobucket ; RIP avatars

Lazarus, Aura: Toughness (DR 2/magic)
Son of a crap.
Just one big dead end.
lil' map from before
Spoiler
Looks like we just explored the rooms to the North of A and B there. So next would be C or D.
Lazarus leads the party back through trying to avoid all the freaky moldy crap and all the way around back towards exit "C". Assuming folks go with him.
SpoilerDo we need another fort save on the way out? If so:

Re: The world's largest dungeon
You dont need to make a fort save every time, only when the mold gts blown across the room.
And at the end of C you find another dead end, with a hole in the wall, near the floor, where some black stuff can be seen. It also looks disgusting.**** Photobucket ; RIP avatars

Lazarus, Aura: Toughness (DR 2/magic)
Noticing that nobody appears to have followed him up the corridor to "C" anyway Lazarus retreats back to "D".
lil' map
Spoiler
Not shown: the area North of A&B with the mold that we just got through exploring.
Is the door at "D" open? If so what can I see into the next room. If it is not open then listen at the door and wait for Todd to do his search for traps.

Dribble stretches his shoulder muscle, twisting his arm around rythmicly.
"Lets get this over with" he nods as he draws his sword.

Lazarus, Aura: Toughness (DR 2/magic)
Realising the door is already open somewhat Lazarus opens it fully with the end of his longspear to allow Drah'ble and Argal to move in.
SpoilerIsn't it odd how many doors in this dungeon are open? I think only the closed ones are trapped so far.
If the room goes dark suddenly just walk back out and if the flying squids follow you, we'll all beat the crap out of them.
