Rose Petals

You are all agents of the Kingdom of the Eternal Rose. Whether that means, servants of the crown, sellswords, free blades, bounty hunters, Geas’ murderers, mercenaries or any other manner of pastimes, you have been trained in the art of subterfuge, espionage, stealth, and death. You have sworn fealty and obedience to the Queen herself, Raalia Vegas, and her spymaster Illya Constantine, you are their Rose petals and they have activated you and a cell to perform a mission.

Recently the Empire of the East Sun has began invading the kingdom, which is worrisome, other than the military implications, as there has been a formal truce for decades. But that is besides the point, your missive (in whatever form) was short and sweet, and included your activation phrase. Whatever you were doing is unimportant, you must go to the small fishing village of Bakenridge as soon as possible, where you will meet your contact.

32 point buy, max HP 1st level, 3/4 (rounded up) or rolled thereafter (re-rolling 1's)

Alignment is in place for spells and spell affects. I'm lenient on Alignment restricted classes and Paladins have a more grey area.
Alignment is like the Pirate code, it's more of a guideline than an actual set of rules.

11. Do you allow multi-classing, or have any particular rules in regards to it?
Have at, no penalty.

12. Will you be doing all of the die rolling during the course of the game? Will die rolls be altered, or left to the honor system? If players can make die rolls, which ones do they make, how should they make the rolls, and how should they report them?
DM will make his rolls and some of the players, Players, will make their rolls most of the time.

13. Are there any home-brewed or optional/variant rules that your Players should know about? If so, list and explain them, or provide relevant links to learn about these new rules.

• Every class increases their skill points by 2 every level
• Feats every other level
• Teleportation is blocked by force effects.
• Gates work on the same plane
• Retroactive skill points

Additional changes:

• Sneak attack functions on undead
• Rangers can change their favored enemies with 8 hours of rest and 10 minutes of communing with nature
• Flanking provides +1d6 of sneak attack damage (stacks) to anyone willing to use it. (Some may not want to)
• Rogues (and only rogues) can trade sneak attack dice for critical hit multiplier at a ratio of 2:1 and vice versa, this must be made before an attack, and applies to all attacks that round. The maximum you can trade is the amount Sneak Attack dice you have gained from class levels.
• For example: A 5th level rogue has 3d6 SA dice, and attacks with a dagger, they decide to sacrifice 2d6 SA dice to improve the dagger's critical multiplier by 1.

14. Is a character background required? If so, how big? Are you looking for anything in particular (i.e. the backgrounds all ending up with the characters in the same city)?
Yes, skirt length is fine.

15. Does your game involve a lot of hack & slash, puzzle solving, role-playing, or a combination of the above?
Mostly hack and slash and role play. I intend this to be more role-playing than anything, interspersed with combats. I want to include some kind of mechanic to deal with the brutality of death, and dealing it out, with the human psyche etc

16. Are your Players restricted to particular rule books and supplements, or will you be allowing access to non-standard material? What sources can Players use for their characters?
Any 3.5 WoTC and only WoTC, no brew whatsoever, so please do not ask.

I consolidated her. No more Incarnate or Totemist, they just felt too mishsmashy I kept a soulmeld from a feat for flavor but it's better now. Power level and numbers don't change much, but she is less all over the place and while she loses the 4 claws from Girallon Claws, her ardent levels make more sense now and it now makes sense to level up as stalker of kharash or maybe warmind. The only thing I wanted to see is if you'd allow the alertness from psicrystal to qualify her for SoK.

At first glance, she might seem to be a gallant knight, with her bright polished armor and fair appearance, though that impression couldn't be more mistaken. Endymia has an athletic build and long white hair, and she stands fairly tall in comparison to most women. Her eyes are large and very light - almost colorless, which tends to create a striking impression. It's even more surprising when anger fills those cloudlike eyes, as often happens, for she is not a passive person. Her weapon of choice is a long silver halberd with a darkwood haft. Her plate mail is a custom design; it is heavily ornamented with fearsome animal reliefs - such as a lion and several small serpents. Sometimes she covers the set with a black cloak to draw less attention. When not wearing her armor, she tends to dress up. She wears fine court clothing of the newest fashions, expensive jewelry and accessories. A hint of danger can be found amid her pretty features, however; she has a pair of sharp white fangs that sometimes show when she speaks.

Endymia knows how to act reserved and polite, but her true personality is far more fiery and unruly. She's a passionate woman who is willing to claim what she wants, through whatever means necessary. She doesn't have a lot of sympathy for people in general, mostly seeing them as obstacles or tools. But she does have a great deal of respect for power, and she knows that there is great power in organization. That's why she wouldn't dare cross her superiors, even if she'd break the law without a second thought. Similarly, she's reliable for her allies, if not for anyone else. Her heart may be cruel, but this woman is not foolish in her crime. She knows that much more can be won with a delicate, subtle touch. She doesn't work only with blades, but also with poisons, and secrets. She can be aggressive and fierce, or she can be perilously alluring. Either way, she is a force to reckoned with.

Endymia was born an illegitimate child to a poor mother. They always struggled to make ends meet in the city, and for this reason the girl suffered much in her youth. She had a certain natural beauty, and for this she was sometimes called fair-favored, though that was far from the truth. She quickly grew to be a ruffian and a thief, hiding many trespasses behind her innocence and looks. But Endymia hated this lot. Not the performance of it all, exactly. She hated the weakness that forced her smile. More than anything, she coveted the strength that would give her freedom. And so she fell in with a rough crowd - a gang that took what they wanted and went where they pleased.

The years passed, and the fair woman had become much stronger indeed. Her hard life had granted her hard muscles and a quick wit. Her beauty came into full bloom, and often she was pestered by men - even her fellows. But she gained a reputation for battering unwanted suitors, and hurling them face-first to the ground. Still, she couldn't win every fight. So she turned to other forms of violence. She started dabbling with poisons, and once she realized their effectiveness, she fell in love with them. Her budding obsession led her to gather all kinds of strange materials, and to investigate novel ways of delivering her deadly doses.

Endymia became a very dangerous woman, and eventually she outgrew the gang she had been part of. She took on riskier and riskier jobs, eventually grasping with her own hands the success and wealth that had always eluded her before. Somewhere along the line, she became inspired by a statuette of Tiamat. Though she didn't know much about the religion, she always imagined that the dragon queen was fearsome and masterless; a force whom none could deter. A more perfect idol she could not imagine. So she stole the statuette, and enshrined it. She always kept the dragon queen in mind, and when she was in danger - it was to to Tiamat that she called for help.

And it seemed that the goddess was not deaf to entreaty. She sent a serpentine spirit to look after Endymia and guide her. The rash woman did not easily take to spellcasting, but she did learn to channel a destructive energy through her touch - and it was this gift that she came to appreciate most.

Wanting to continue her advancement, she eventually became a rose petal - a servant of Raalia Vegas. Endymia did not shy from dirty jobs. Collections, protection, breaking and entering, assassination - she took them all on without qualm. She even spent some time in prison after a job gone wrong, but she never gave up her employers. Perhaps that is part of the reason they have continued to call on her, time and time again.
