Default Re: Reign of Winter: The Snows of Summer [Part 2]

R3T19: Moorgram moves to Mierul and begins to look for any potentially weaponizable or magical items. He can't know from magic just from looking, but she does seem to have a fancy entertainer's outfit with a white hood, a very expensive-looking necklace, a coin pouch, an obvious spell component pouch, and several small vials hanging from her belt with little quick-pull string ties. She already dropped her light crossbow, and she doesn't appear with a search to have any weapons hidden, though her nails do appear sharp. The time it took to move to her and search her is all he had, and he didn't have time to actually remove anything yet.

R3T16: Moorgram feels a sharp pain in his left calf (1) followed by numbing cold that he ignores, and Red-fey is standing at his feet now, having stabbed him with its tiny widdle wapier.

R3T8: Darkhelm dispatches Blue, but makes a point of showing the soldiers in case anyone tries to think of anything.

R3T9: Lady Argentea gets into a shield-focused defensive stance but lashes out with a very aggressive strike with her cold iron longsword that does 18, dropping the fey. "Keep focused on her," she says, refocusing on the downed larger fey. "Definitely remove that spell pouch, followed by the liquids."

    End Round 3, Begin Round 4 ...

Moorgram, what do you do? You also still have axe in hand.

And with that, she sets up an organized prisoner transfer downstairs so that the men and Mierul are under the watchful eyes and wrathful strength of Windrunner, Arthog, Nadya, and even Hatch. Because of he worries of spellcasting, Mierul will be bound and gagged for now.

They both nod and Moorgram (ostensibly) opens the door. Several cabinets line the narrow walls of this oddly angular room. A chopping block, water barrel, and cauldron stand near the room’s only door. The tantalizing smells of fresh baked bread and meaty stew fill the air.

    Surprise Round ...

S15: Something steps right up to Moorgram and a terrifying supernatural power blooms forth from it, but Moorgram's grit easily overcomes the scare.

End Surprise Round, Begin Round One ...

    R1T19:
While not an acrobat, the athletic and agile Darkhelm jumps up onto the dinging room table, crosses, and hops down again between the table and the wall to get a better view of what just sent magic out into the hall. She shoots over Moorgram's head in vain. She is not much of a CQB archer, either.

R1T15: The creature changes size from something as small as a gnome to a small giant, practically filling the kitchen beyond. It takes out a now giant-sized morningstar.

R1T14: Lady Argentea sets up her normal defensive patter, gets into a stance and calls out things which keep one's spirit from quailing against fear, and then gives inspiring commands to the group, especially Moorgram.

R1T3: Moorgram, you hesitated. You had seen a spit-second into the future, but took the wrong path that caused you to hesitate dreadfully. In front of you, flecks of saliva drip from the corners of this filthy and ill-smelling humanoid, and its large, pointed ears twitch at every sound. It had looked like a sickly gnome, but now is about 9' tall, and appears almost feral and alien. What do you do?

Darkhelm on deck, Bogey in the hole ...
