    Vidrik's crossbow bolt strikes deep as he falls back. Cassandra blinks out of the webbing, then burns it off Mustafa. Chloe splashes one of the spiders with acid, while her servant almost hits the retreating spider. Mustafa retreats, missing with his spell.

    One of the spiders scuttles through the trees, ready to dodge (S2 dodges). The other two pursue fleeing prey, one launching a web at Mustafa and the other at Vidrik before ducking partly behind a tree truck. Both webs hit, binding them in sticky spider-silk.

    Nice work Cass! Sabian calls out as she frees herself and Mustafa from the webbing. The others are doing a good job of keeping the offensive up as they retreat from the trees and canopies. As soon as the spiders come down, Sabian will be ready to engage. For now, he continues to fall back, and cuts the new webbing that has bound Mustafa.

    The spiders move forward, pursuing the party. One dashes closer to Vidrik, while another moves forward cautiously (S5, dodging). You lose sight of the two most badly injured ones (S3, S7 retreat out of sight).

    Vidrik manages a shot despite the restraining webs (hit S1 for 19). Cassandra shoots at the same target, but misses, then moves next to Vidrik. Chloe manages to injure another spider with flames and force. Mustafa dodges.

    One spider moves closer, throwing another ball of webbing at Sabian. Another repositions (S4 move, dodge). The last one, close to Vidrik, drops down and tries to bite him, but misses.

    Sabian hears the commotion of contact behind him and turns to see one of the monstrous spiders has descended to attack the restrained Vidrik. He moves to engage, slicing the webbing on Vidrik and bashing the spider to the ground with his shield.

It will also cancel out Vidrik's Disadvantage for being next to the spider. Since Vidrik deals more damage, I figured better to free him than go for the spider.

    Vidrik nods at Sabian for removing the webs, but the spider lands right next him before he gets a chance to move. He shoots the spider right in front of him. He'd love to move away, but it's not worth exposing himself to an attack from the spider.

    Cassandra strikes with her whip, knocking the prone spider back. Chloe blasts it with fire and force, leaving it close to dead, and surrounded by energy that will finish it off when it attempts to stand.
    Mustafa dodges.

    One spider throws another web at Sabian, while the second attempts to ensnare Cassandra. Both webs are dodged. The prone spider attempts to stand, and Cassandra's spell
    detonates, killing it (S6 is dead).

    Vidrik stabs the downed spiders with his rapier and rips off their legs, so even if Dracula raises them as spider zombies, they won't be a threat. He then collects his stakes and prepares to keep moving.

    Sabian helps Vidrik make the corpses less useful as undead. At the suggestion he says, I leave it to you to decide Vidrik, as you are our pathfinder. But though both paths may be dangerous, what we face on the road may be different than we find out here.

    You travel on southwards for the woods for another hour or so before you hear the sound of movement, coming basically towards you, at high speed. Branches cracking, leaves thrashing, and even a few growls and yips.

    They come into view suddenly, brown humanoid shapes in the distance with wolf-like heads.

    Vidrik moves back, firing a crossbow bolt that hits, producing a yipe. Sabian backs up, hoping to shield the group during a fighting retreat. Nature: These don't look like werewolves... they're more animalistic, but still similar to werewolves.

    The creatures rush forwards, running hunched-over and using their arms and legs to close the distance quickly (dash, 80' each), clearing patches of underbrush and bushes by simply leaping over them. They'll be on you pretty soon.
