The captain seems to pause for a moment. "You look like you can handle yourself. How about crowd control? We're going to need help making sure everyone is safe in the event the landing gets a little rough."

Gekko reports to the engines and begins an assessment of what can be done, picking up tools as he goes for when he might need them, but seems to put them down again at places they will be used, reorganizing according to his own mental plans.

well I can get around on a computer, sensors, astrogation, I can even pilot this craft or a smaller one if needs be.

The captain nods thoughtfully. "While we have some navigational control, lets see how good you are." The captain escorts Shelly to the bridge of the ship where she is introduced to the co-pilot/navigator, a man obviously younger than Shelly and the ship's steward. The captain motions to the co-pilot's seat. "Lets see what you can do," as he takes his seat and prepares to retake control should anything go wrong while you are in control of the ship.

Shelly sits down at the controls, takes a moment to familiarize herself with the layout. Then takes control, while not quite used to the size of this ship it seems to respond to her commands
