Regardless of how this ends, blade had me thoroughly fooled - I even thought "both the previous yeets were ones that blade pushed for" yesterday before going "no no, he yanked the yeet onto a wolf when a town would have otherwise died".

Would that have been the case even if he'd done what he said he did? Didn't Jeen reach the tie number before Athedia?

That said, I was also quite convinced, since it seemed way too risky for a wolf to claim credit for (as was the lovers claim or so I thought).

So, rereading my power on my break, and I think it only goes one way? It says they become my lover, not we both become lovers... Wondering if that is why I survived? I really don't know if it would work this way or not, since this was, as I have said before, my first game.

The power, as given to me said:

If you are targeted by any Wolf power, even a kill, that power will be cancelled. The Wolf that targeted you will become your Lover, and any power used against one of you will also affect the other.

But that also implies it is two-way... So I am very confused if I am actually alive or not. That is what I am waiting for confirmation on. Whether I am supposed to be dead myself or not.

Yeah, I get that it is risky to claim lovers, but surely that was something you could have added as context when Blade claimed lovers, yes? "Blade was a wolf, targeted me, and we are now lovers". The fact that you hid the mechanics of it is... not ideal. Like, you knew that he had to have been a wolf for the power to trigger.

Now I am confronting the truth that perhaps my instincts about BCH having power overlap with a confirmed dead town being a bit suspicious might be factual. Hm. Will ponder more in the morning, assuming I make it.

Though notably, nothing in Lentrax's description there says that if one dies, so does the other, only that power targeting that affects the one affects the other.

Lentrax, are you actually town? An alternate wincon sounds neutral. If you're a regular neutral, sharing that would go a long way towards you staying alive, since it would corroborate your behaviour somewhat.

For the record - since I'm not staying up until 1 AM for a legacy post - I think Persolus is a fine yeet tomorrow. Reduces the wolf vote by one number, minus shenanigans, and lets either myself of BCH act in the night (assuming BCH is not the last wolf). Once again, credit to AV for giving us this chance.

I think Illven is legit. Athedia could have been bussed by Blade - though why, this close to victory, I don't know why he would - especially since we know that wolves were willing to sacrifice Jeen on D3, which is what earned her most of her towncred. BatCatHat has a power that is uncomfortably close to Cazero's and we have otherwise seen no power duplication, and there have been a few moments that made me go hm - might be worth going back and seeing his interactions with Bladescape.

Lentrax is the obvious wolf choice here tomorrow, but with this being a bastard game and all I can see her legitimately not being a wolf. If we miss, we lose, which is why I don't mind Persolus.

Blade didn’t share anything with me. I had an interest in keeping them alive, but it was not reciprocated. I don’t have anything else to offer you.

My alternate wincon required the two of us to be the last ones left. Since that can no longer happen, it is irrelevant.

The now stained Holotag was cleaned off and hung with reverence on the arm of a slot machine. Twisting from its perch, it seemed to glow as the Casino light was captured by its surface. A door slammed open at the rear of the floor, but no shouting accompanied it. Several thugs, armed and advancing on the group, padded carefully across the carpet in a loose formation. As they drew closer, their eyes came to rest on an unmoving body. Emotion lanced across their faces; despair, quickly replaced by rage. You recognize the small, grungy man as he approaches the fallen form and places a hand to his neck.

"Aw, boss.."

Rising quickly, the man's face is mottled purple with anger as he spits out words through clenched teeth. "Who. Did. This." Silence carpets the room as you all stay frozen in fear, not even daring to breathe. Tension lies thick in the air, but no fingers are pointed, no accusations leveled. Cursing, the small man aims a sharp kick at Yes Man, yelping as his foot connects just a little too solidly. "So be it you rats. You there!" The small man seems to point at random into your group, but his beady eyes soon find a target. "These crimes are on your head big boy." Dull thuds fill the air as a man is driven off his feet and onto his back by sudden blows from the gathered thugs. With several grunts, the unfortunate soul is drug unceremoniously away from his group and through the rear Casino doors.

Let'sGetKraken has been busted. He was the Courier.

No one dares move until Yes Man's screen lights up with yet another scroll of text, drawing the group's focus.

Bastard game or not, I do think Lentrax is the last wolf and it's tempting to just yeet her and hopefully finish it, but I suppose this is a fair point. I'll think about it. Athedia, Illven, what do you think?

I am a Raider (yes, it's specifically "a" rather than "the", but according to flat it has no significance) and as previously mentioned I void people. Last night I targeted Persolus.

"I watched BCH last night and he had no visitors. I don't know if he visited anyone though. I am the Blackjack Dealer, and I can see if someone had visitors as my power."

I am a Wolf-Aligned Neutral, I win with wolves.

"Who all is living right now. Lentrax, claiming Femme Fatale. Illven, claiming Ghoul. Persolus, claiming WN. BCH claiming Raider, and a town? voider? Me, Blackjack Dealer. Getting rid of Persolus today means no more risk of being messed with at night. I assume only 1 more wolf max. Which leaves us tomorrow at 3? So either Scenario 1. We get rid of the clear bet today, Persolus, and from there try to make one last use of our powers to gamble at the last 3 remaining. Or Scenario 2, we risk it all vote on suspected wolves tonight and if we get the wolf win, if we get town we lose unless we can be the first to force a tie tomorrow. Does that make sense?"

Athedia was pacing back and forth looking at those still assembled.

"I suspect no matter what I will be targeted tonight. The chances of me missing the visited person is almost nothing and I can feel comfortable in guessing who else would be targeted. But it does me no good to watch myself still because I will have no way to inform you who killed me, being dead and all. I will still watch someone in the off chance I am not killed. But at this juncture any ISO's people can do, any gut feelings, anything else we can go off of. Lentrax, what day did you and Blade become lovers?"

"Actually Scenario 3 is we get rid of Persolus today, get lucky in ending up with 1 wolf 2 town tomorrow, don't kill anyone and then it comes down to a tie breaker whoever gets their vote in first the next day. This scenario is unlikely, frankly very stupid and also hilarious but should be mentioned for completeness."

My wincon required me and my client to be the last two, and it let me win instead of being killed. But as I said, my client has been busted out, so I can longer win.

I was paired with them starting Day 4, I was correct in my recollection.

And also, as to my question about Vault 11. This is a bastard game, so can we trust we have all the information? Or that we have the correct information?

"Why take him when you could take me!"

A wide grin split the face of a man in the group. Sweat beaded on his brow and an uncontrollable shake wracked his slender form. In a war of attrition between mind and body, his mind had clearly gone first. There was only so much a man could take, after all. A faraway look enters the man's eyes and he stands deathly still.

"America sleeps in the Divide - giants, beneath the earth. You saw one locked in the silo beneath you. There's more. Only takes a few of them, locked below ground, to tear apart the earth... and cast dust, sand... ash... into the skies above." A giggle explodes out of him, forcing his frail body to the floor as it threatens to steal the final breath from his lungs. Gasping, the man staggers to his feet, tears streaming down his face as he looks to the sky. A wave of calm radiates from his gaze as he seems to focus at something far off.

"You know, I tried to measure my charisma on a Vit-o-matic Vigor Tester once. The machine burst into flames." The giggle has become a cackle now, the peaceful look fleeing in its wake. A look of annoyance flashes across the man's face and the grin turns into a sneer. "What's it sound like I'm saying? If I was saying what you said I was saying, then yeah, I said it!"

His eyes stretch wide as they fell upon Yes Man, his hands poking and prodding the Securitron as though his life depended on it.

Disappointed, the man's head shot up and he looked around in confusion. "What kind of place are they running here. Do they know how long I've been waiting? I've got half a mind to speak to the manager!" The man breaks into a dead sprint towards the rear of the casino floor, bursting through the back doors with a loud crash. Yelps of surprise and loud cursing can be heard before the door slams shut again behind him.

Persolus has been busted. He was the Joker.
