Liliana got a letter that said 'come to this address, and bring any other scions you know, cos ****'s going down' (probably worded a bit nicer), and distributed it to the others, correct? Or is she expected to chair the meeting? Mostly trying to determine if I was there all along or will be arriving like anyone else.

Liliana is arriving with everyone else, yes. This is not somewhere she has been before and (unless it turns out to be Loki himself) the person who called her here is not someone she's previously familiar with.

As a heads up, Brandon can hear lies (the Takes One To Know One knack), so if your character has secrets you want to keep (or if you want to drop some hints about secrets you have) be careful of your words. Brand probably won't reveal that talent in-character until it's necessary.

It does not tell which part is a lie, only that there was a lie. Note: God's Honest cancels out with this, so it goes back to a roll if you lie with that.

Forgot to mention Stench Of Guilt, which is a similar thing. If a topic comes up that reminds someone "of a misdeed [they are] keeping secret", Brand also notices that (though not what the secret is or even what part of the conversation reminded the person of it). They don't have to actually feel guilty about it; as long as they've taken steps to conceal whatever secret it is, they trigger the knack.

It's kind of funny. Trying to go behind Brand's back metaphorically is extremely difficult. Trying to do so literally is almost guaranteed to succeed; his Perception is abysmal and his Awareness is 0. (Both in-character and out-of-character, his two Manipulation knacks are to compensate for that, making it so he won't get fooled again).

In my experience that's very much up to you. If you want to have a reason to speak up though, I could toss a question about the artifact your way, as it seems related to your pantheon.

Actually, I was about to say the roll is Intelligence+Academics by default for that. You can attempt the roll, everyone, as long as you have at least Intelligence 2. (Trying with a dice pool of 1 and the no-Academics penalty would be pointless.)

Julian is not a Celtic specialist but death and sickness are what he should be an expert after all for what did father leave that huge library in this world if not to provide adequate education. And a sword that makes people sick instead of killing them does appear rather unique. Wasn't there something about the great illness following the second Ramses fires? But there where alot of fires.

@kish, how open are you to players establishing the existence of stuff like student newspapers, gossip rags and the like? If you want full control, I'll need the following for a post I'll probably make soon after the current scene ends.

Existence and name if any and all student papers ir fraternity publications and the like.
Existence and name of widely distributed local affairs paper ( I don't know if those are a thing in the USA, but where I live everyone who doesn't opt out gets one of those every week with local news and the like)
Existence and name of local gossip/superstition/conspiracy paper (the kind with gossip about ufo and bigfoot sightings and the lizard cabals that secretly control the gov and the like)

If you are fine with it, I can come up with all the above myself of course.
