Kronork crosses his arms over his chest and begins tapping his foot impatiently, a scowl crossing his face.

if he is unimpeded, he will say, "And what does all of this have to do with us? Forgive me if I'm impatient to get off this ship and begin earning my wages."

Shifty

Shifty looks over at Kronork. "Ye aren't the only one, Lad. Dwarves dinnae function too well when our boots aren't touching Father Earth."

Huh. 'Trouble lately.' The NTC is the most dangerous thing in these waters. No laws out here to regulate 'bussiness.' He shakes his head. We've only got a few days 'til we hit First Landing. An easy week beyond that.

You all file out of the cabin, and head down the hatch to your hammock when you see that all of you stuff has been neatly folded and reordered. And quite obvoisly searched. No one finds anything missing, but Gil finds his spell components pouch, which he thought he had on him, neatly placed on top of his pillow, sans certain materiel. All the materiel that might, for instance, be used in a long-range message spell.

Gil looks though his stuff and finding nothing missing (or at least not much) he shakes his head and grins. Oh they are good, I guess I can't be angry after all this is fair play. He thinks to himself as he stares at his stuff. Slipping into his hammock he lies on his back and places his hands behind his head. They probly think we're working for that company Luther mentioned, I wonder if this has happen before to cause them to think like that? Smiling to himself Gil falls asleep with no difficulty.

Kronork will huff and puff angrily, and not in what could be considered mock anger. But he soon is able to control his temper and throws his things into the floor near his hammock just for good measure. Then he stands there looking at it kind of foolishly and picks it all back up, rearranging it all neatly under or on (depending on individual usage) his hammock. He pointedly doesn't look around the room at the eyes he believes are following him as he does this.

After many moments he will walk back on deck to find a way to make himself useful--or invisible.

Although some of the other passengers are a little mystified, once Kronik has left the lower decks no one reacts any differently then they did yesterday.

Trahan

As he is looking through his stuff and takes stock and notices that nothing was missing, Trahan says I guess that was to be expected. Following the example of the others he hops into his hammock, Well I guess for the next few days I guess we had best take things easy.

Shifty

Shifty is visibly upset, but knows there is little he can do about it at the moment. He spends the rest of the day fuming in his corner, refusing to talk to anyone.

"And I thought Elves and Halflings were bad..." He mutters

Everyone goes to bed that night. (Even Kronik eventually, and probably Lonna and Mornir too.)

That morning, just before dawn, Mornir is up in the crow's nest finishing his prayers. As a sailor comes up to take his place on watch, Mornir stands up and glances at the rising sun. There seems to be two dot's barely discernable silloetted by the glare.

[Lonna]

Edlyn was not happy that someone had been touching her things, even if nothing was missing. Her annoyance was quite plain to see as she first paced the hold, then, finding it too constricting, went on deck and stalked around the perimeter, glaring out at the sea until well after sunset.

Despite her late night, she rose at dawn to see the sunrise, which one of the sailors had told her was spectacular on the sea.

Gil wakes up early, feeling well rested since he had gone to sleep so early. Climbing up the deck he looks around wondering what he should do to pass the time today.

The sunrise was indeed spectacular. Suddenly Edlyn frowned, seeing two dark spots marring the shining disk of the rising sun. We're not due at the islands for a few days, Luher said. So those must be ships... and no guarantee they're friendly. Looking around, she addresses the nearest sailor.

"Excuse me, but I think you should tell Luther and the captain that there are a couple ships over there." She points. "I can just see them silohetted against the sun."

Seeing the strange dots Gil looks up. Hey, I saw some dots near the sun can you make them out? he calls out to the sailor on duty and Mornir.

Edlyn's sailor glances at the sun, winces, and looks back. Alright. I think I saw something. Wait here. Moments after she (the sailor that is) knocks on the captain's door Edlyn hears Gils calling out to the crows nest, and after that the sailor up top yell Sails on the horizon, due east! at which point Anya comes out of her cabin hastly dressed but with two cutlasses on her belt. All hands up! Leo, Lewis, you know what to do. Passengers are to report below decks. Luther get below with them. Some one get my glass.

Shifty

At the call for all hands, Shifty grabs his trusty crossbow and sword and climbs above-deck. He has rarely ventured out since they departed and he has to let his eyes adjust to the bright light of the morning sun. He holds the crossbow in his arms and stands next to Edlyn. "Say lass, what might be going on?"

[Lonna]

Edlyn glanced down at the dwarf, then looked back at the sea. "We have company," she said, pointing. "And we passengers are supposed to go below decks."

Turning, she heads toward the cargo hold. However, as soon as she's sure none of the crew are watching her she changes direction and quickly hides herself somewhere where she can see most of what is going on without being seen. This was Anya's territory, but there was no way Edlyn was going to miss her best opportunity to find out why the crew of this ship were so loyal to their captain.

Seeing Luther Gil follows him. Hey Luther do you know who's ships those are? Also if this comes to a fight why are you being ordered out of it?

Hearing the comotion Trahan grabs hid bow and heads above deck, and finds Anya. Anya, what got everybody moving around so quickly?

IR Lonna: You hide very well, and with everyone charging around you're fine.
IR Gil: I'm not captain of the ship so I take orders. You should too. C'mon, we need to be below decks.
IR Trahan: Two ships on the horizon, coming straight at us.

Trahan

Looking to the horizon, Trahan, I assume you are expecting trouble then, How can I be of assistance?

Get below decks. She snaps open her telescope. Hard to starboard helmsman.

Dissatisfied with Luther's comments Gil paces back and forth thinking about what was going to happen up above. Remembering something Gil walks over to his hammock and he picks up his staff and returns to his place near Luther. Thinking over his spells Gil sighs Well I'm as ready as I'm going to get. Whatever happens I hope it happens soon, this waiting is killing me.
With that thought Gil resumes his paceing as he reviews his spells yet agian.

Kronork returned to the cabin late into the night, only a few moments before Edlyn's Sunrise Surprise, and is currently sleeping, completely oblivious to all around him.

Trahan

Still looking at he horizon, and then to Anya, its obvious Trahan wants to stay on deck to lend assistance however he can. But he then realized this is probably an experienced crew and that he would just be in the way at least until battle breaks out. Alright Anya I'll go below deck, but if they board don't expect me to stay below. With that Trahan heads below deck and trys to find the remaing party. When I find them I will say. Looks like we might have some trouble, I think we all should be ready incase we get boarded.
