Looking around Trahan, see Shifty have a brief conservation with Edlyn, He looks at Gil and says lets go and talk to Shifty and see if he wants to be a part of this.

He then proceeds over to where shifty is, and explains the plan of the overly exuberant familiar. Once he finishes explaining the plan he asks Shifty, So, did you want to join us, or would you prefer to remain here?

Shifty

Shifty looks up at Trahan, not noticing the potentially insulting cat comment he made to Edlyn. "Well, I am going to need friends on this trip and you guys are the closest I got so far... I'm in. But I'm not much of a leader, just tell me what to do and I will do my best to do it."

Shifty crosses his arms, looking attentively at Trahan.

Trahan

I'm not sure I'm much of a leader either, we basically are supplying moral support for Gil. I just think they will twice before trying to do something to Gil, if we show them a united front. Besides I think we are going to have to depend on one another a lot more from this point forward.

Looking at Edlyn, I guess I can assume Kronork, is still very annoyed with the whole situation?

Well should we try to find Endeldrimor and Simon, and let them know whats going on, or should we not waste anymore time and head to meet with Anya and Luther?

Kronork listens vaguely to any of what is being said that he can hear and stands once you seem to have finished discussing. (OOC, I'm not sure how much taller or larger he is than the rest of you, I can assume he's at least impressive) He will stretch himself to his full frame, revealing his well-tanned and thickly muscled arms, chest and legs to you all and snorts loudly through his nose. The crew have named me among their lot he says hoarsely but silently enough that the colonists nearby would have to really want to hear him speak to understand him, But among you I first vowed my allegiance. I won't act in violence against this ship he says, pawing his still fresh tattoo, But I will stand among you as a brother should you choose unwisely.

He runs his hand through his short, dirty hair. We were hired to do a job--let's get this stupid chart back to where it belongs and do it and return to our families rich and wise, eh? He finishes his somewhat overly dramatic monologue with a sheepish grin, obviously realizing his own melodrama. He'll then attempt to scurry back to his hammock, hiding the hint of a blush growing across his face should none of you impede him.

"Wait," says Edlyn, reaching out to Kronork as if to stop him. He's a head taller than her and at least twice as wide, so her effort is purely for show, but she's hoping he will listen anyway. "As you said, the crew call you one of their own. Perhaps if you come with us it will lend merit to our excuse for having the chart. You must look out for your own interests, of course, but your presence may reduce friction between us and the captain. If you don't wish to choose between the two groups, it may be to your benefit to come along."

Kronork, We would greatly welcome you as a brother. We also have no intentions of attacking this ship or its crew. I Just want to make sure neither of us is blamed for this unfortunate incident. Pausing Thrahan looks at each of his companions, he feels much closer to them now then when he first met them.

Well I guess we had best get this map back to Anya, so we can get the Anya's story, and hopefully some answers we have been looking for. With the last comment he turns and starts heading for Anya's cabin, over his sholder he tells Gil. It might be best if you keep that map hidden until we are in her Cabin.

Alright, so you'll start the talking then? I don't thinks it is nessary to involve any more people at this point. Gil looks from face to face By the way thanks for helping me with this.

Kronork turns and listens to Edlyn, his face slowly changing from a mildly embarassed grin to a look of grim consternation. (OOC: Kronork Hawkwind's not a thinker, Kronork Hawkwind's a smasher!) When she finishes and Trahan begins, he snorts loudly through his nose and shrugs in something like agreement.

Now that the plan has been agreed upon Trahan proceeds to Anya's cabin with the other characters. And once getting there He says. Anya, I have figured what happened to your Maps/charts. He then explains to her about how Click was trying to impress his master and took the charts. Once I finish explain what happened I motion for Gil to produce the charts and give them to Anya.

You find Anya on the deck, over seeing some sailors. After a moment she says That's who and why I guess. I'll tell you my story. You lot in my cabin now.

Edlyn

Edlyn raises her eyebrows at the captain's tone, but says nothing. She follows the rest of the group to Anya's cabin, where she casually leans against one wall, putting her left foot up against the wall for balance. When Anya begins talking, Edlyn watches for any signs that the captain is lying or omitting something from her story.

Shifty

Shifty follows Anya into the captains cabin, admiring the artifacts that are housed inside. While Anya talks he will stand with his feet solidly planted, his arms crossed, and an expression that he tries to keep as Dwarvishly stoic as possible.

Kronork will grunt and glare at Gil balefully and follow the party into her cabin. He'll find a space off near a corner to stand with his thumbs hooked in his belt, awaiting the axe to fall.

Gil is suprised at Anya's reaction and thinks I wonder why we all get to hear her story? Though this is a good oppurtunity, we might finally learn what's going on. Gil hangs out near the back of the group and listens intently, not making any noise.

As he follows Anya and the rest of the party Trahan looks around the deck to see if anything unusual is happening.

Once insider her cabin he will look around trying to take note of anything out of the orinary.

None of you spot or sense anything out of the ordinary, except for that weird cleric fellow seems to have over heard Anya's command and followed you into the cabin.

Anya waits outside the door as you shuffle into the cramped quarters. The room is simple and wooden, barely big enough to fit a single bed, (still bigger then the hammocks you've been using), a desk covered in instruments and books and papers, a chair, and you lot. Anya slams the door behind her as she walks in, and throws her chart down on the desk. Ahem. From now on, you she points at Gil will keep your rodent with you at all times and you she points at Trahan will remember to warn me if you're gonna bring friends to story time. She unrolls the map and points to a dot.
That's the city, and this is the eastern coast of the continent. Up until my first voyage, that was as far as any map went. But then some tomfool upstart merchent got his head full of legends and old wives tales, and threw together a rag tag band of mercenaries, a ship and five months worth of rations and took of toward the sunrise.
I was a deckhand aboard the Saint Selene under my fathers wishes. He was a captian to you see, and he trained me as a navigator, but he thought I needed experience before he'd give me a ship.
Any way, we started heading east when- oh, hey Luther.

Stay for the story. It's the one where we first met. Anyway, the plan was to go east 'til we'd used half our supplies, zigzaging as we went, and then turn around. Unfortunatly, a few days before we were going to turn one of the mercenaries got drunk and dropped a lantern below decks. Nonw of the food was burnt, but the water casks got damaged, and began to leak. After that we had no choice. We had no chance of making it back to the west, but if we found these fabled islands we had a chance. At least that's what Raymerez argued. Most of the crew was all for trying our luck with the wind and heading west, and the mercs were split. We kept east though, and eventually we did it. She jabs her finger at an island on the map, in the center of the archepelago. First Sighting Rock, with a fresh water spring and fruit trees. And a couple of monsters. They came up on us from behind, and went through most of the mercs and sailors like butter, including the First Mate and Quartermaster. I was right next to Luther and Raymerez, and we carved our way to the edge of the fighting and onto a rock. A lot of people broke and ran for the ship, with those crazy things on thier heels. When we and the other survivors who found some place of safety finally made it back to the ship, they said no one who had run made it back. We had our food and our water and were ready to leave when this big one eyed mercenary decided to renegotiate payment. We all knew that these islands ment money and land, and this fellow wanted it all. We left him marooned, but not before he and his buddies killed the captain. After that, the ship was mine by rights of inheiritance, and the crew unanimously agreed to give me the command to. And that's how the deckhand became a captain.

Quite the story, So is this were we are headed?

To take on supplies, yes. I'm afraid we can't let you disembark though. It's a dangerous place.

Looking at the chart, I ask So where are we headed, and is this place a dnagerous place too?

Well, it's a new colony, so I don't know, they're all different. First Landing's different then all the others though.

Shifty

Shifty bows his head respectfully. "And you don't know what manner o' beasts attacked ye? Are you sure we are sailing into the same form o' danger, Captain?"

Shifty stops for a moment, then mumbles. "Beggin' yer pardon, o' course... And do you know if there are any rock formations near the colony site? It might be worth while for me to do a bit o' excavating. You might call that my specialty."

I doubt that you'll run into the same problems. Luther, you know?
All I saw was plants. And um... I think there might be some rocks, but I don't remember.

"So what makes First Landing so different from the other colonies then?" Edlyn hadn't moved from her position, but she made no effort to keep her curiousity from her voice or expression.

Luther, you tell them, I've got to go talk to the helmsman.
as she leaves Luther shrugs. As she said, we marooned Zernobog and his friends. First Landing sort of became the place our outcasts and outlaws fled to. The docks are wall and manned by a garrison, and no one moves goods in that cesspit city without an escort.

Luther shifts uncomfotably, and then begins to point at the map, mostly in the center of the semi-circular archepelago. First Landing, New Romily, the Green Isle, the Black Isle. He drags his finger around a clusters of very small islands. The Lesser Lutharias then he jabs at a group of three islands, The Greated Lutharias Then he stops, and begins to point to the crossed swords, most clustered in the northern and southern parts of the islands. The Burning Bay, the Oddessy and the Red Crane, Adwar's Folly, the Reefer Ambush, the Twin Fleets Battle, Raid of the Gull, the Blockade of No-Man's Island.

Folloeing along intently as Luther points to all the places on the map. So how much linger before we set into port?

After Luther answered, Edlyn spoke up. "So the crossed swords represent battles then?" she asked, as innocently as if she had not said the same thing a few minutes earlier. "Who was fighting whom?" Leaning forward slightly, she pointed to the coded list next to the location of the Reefer Ambush. "And what do these mean? Is it coded? If not, it's in a language I don't recognize."

These ones... he draws a circle around the southern islands. Were against the Ozmans. There were a lot earlier on, but things have cooled off. These ones, he circles the northern islands were against the Northern Trading Company, our fellow Milinese citizans. He rolls his eyes. As for the code, I don't know. Ask Anya about those.
