Alright, having read the description I feel that the DC15 (violent motion) is the correct one. The DC10 description made it seem like it was for stuff that was difficult to do while standing while the other seemed like stuff that would obviously tip you over.

Your guissarme does not threaten L26, thus you can not make a trip check with it. My apologizes for not catching this before the whole protracted trip argument occurred.

Hunh. I'm sorry, I didn't realize that we were adjacent. Garrow can't trip with his Guisarme, but he can make a trip attempt with his bite attack, with exactly the same modifiers.

I am going to agree with Paladin here. DC15 is listed for motion such as a stormwracked boat and a small raft in rapids. A single quick jerk is equivalent to that in my view.
