Unfortunatly your stats lineup is wrong. You have to show the increases that you got at the start of turn 2. to represent the effects that your turn 1 budget had. I want to be able to see how much your stats increased going from turn 1 to turn 2.

For instance space should read:

space: 8 + 5 = 13 right now

AT THE START OF TURN 3 you'd write instead:

space: 13 + 9 = 21 (BUT ONLY STARTING NEXT TURN)

This lineup is so I (or another GM) can easily see if you didn't make any errors and for other players to be able to judge your strength during turn 2. The format is standardized as I don't want any 'miss interpretations'.

Also on the issue of your space spending a 'space dock' does absolutely nothing without an investment of wealth to build up the asset. Currently you are throwing away your space points. You'd need to rocket up 2 points of wealth to create a 1 point asset at the very least. (this asset can take any shape, but cannot be an economical resources in orbit untill you have the tech to power it without sending up packages from earth (ie. you need cold fusion or advanced solar cells))

@Wizard: Last turn, Britain spent two points of wealth and placed a large portion of its military as peacekeepers in the central african conflict. I still havn´t gotten any response to this. Did you miss it?

Ehm, yes I did. I'll place these peacekeepers in Kenya and Tanzania. The people are thankful, especially for the generous wealth injection. But unless they actually do something the violence will endure. (ie...do they do anything to stop people shooting at each other...essentially unless your forces get involved with the conflict/give money or weapons to one side to make them do the dirty work the violence will go on. IE. what pressure do you put on the parties or do you let them fight? (essentially this is the problem UN peacekeepers have often faced...you can be there and protect the people...but how do you get them to stop shooting each other...)

Almost all space assets were claimed by KoH, as they were based in French colonies like French Guyana. In addition NEU has no interest in selling them, they are trying to set up their own space program again. ((no nation will sell you anything at a ratio that is profitable to you, unless they are actively disarming or have no need for the things or undergo a crisis))

Do note that if you want to merge with them openly just use diplomacy. Espionage involves killing leaders/sabotaging their actions/smuggling funds to pro British rebels etc...

Benificial trade agreements (or in fact any kind) will increase your mutual reputation. Also good governance spend on the EU (ie spending money on development aid and showing 'how great' britain is will really help convince the people (see what mexico is doing in the South West US)

Birma

The Birmese military Junta warns India that violations of it's sovereignty will be responded with. The troop buildup is unacceptable. In addition they demand that the 'hostages' (the refugees) are returned to them.

The Burmese opposition however, still at large calls upon 'their grand neighbour' to help them and prevent further bloodshed. Again the death toll is increasing as the government finds control is hard to maintain.

In the rebuilding after the 2051 incident, The Federal Republic of Ukraine's economy has kicked into high gear. With government contracts going out left and right to both local manufacturers and foreign investors, and aid pouring in from generous foreign governments, Ukraine's economic capacity is projected to surpass pre-attack levels by a wide margin as the rebuilding and improvement of aging infrastructure, industrial capacity, and military capability generates large amounts of capital.

In addition, Prime Minister Dzubenko has announced the development of a comprehensive Anti-ballistic Missile (ABM) and Theater Missile Defense (TMD) system for his nation, based on the United States' missile interception systems. "Ukraine will remain a completely non-nuclear state," Dzubenko said in an address to Parliament, "but we cannot allow ourselves to be caught off-guard again. This ABM defense will shield our people from any further predation by irresponsible nuclear powers. It is our responsibility to protect the people of Ukraine, and this missile shield will do just that."

Ukraine, in an effort to accomodate its rapidly expanding economy, is in the process of upgrading its flagging oil wells to extract a few more years' worth of fossil fuel from the soil. "We in the Federal Republic have committed to the research of next-generation energy production, and believe wholeheartedly in moving beyond antiquated fossil fuels," said a spokesperson for the Ministry of Science and Technology. "However, economic considerations dictate that we make as much as we can out of petroleum-based energy until such time as other energy sources become feasible."

Frightened by the movements that want to seceede the newly elect US president Anton Lindon cites a famous US president in saying similarly to Abraham Lincoln that "the Union was an unbreakable contract", further going that "any attempts to break it are unconstitutional and to be dealt with as treason".

Still more and more northern states are looking to Canada to see if their northern neighbour will support the Anglosaxon plight.

"We will not tolerate further acts by your government in our country, any further acts to undemine our sovereignty will be regarded as acts of state terrorism and could result in grave concequences." No further comments on the nature of the concequences was given, but the buildup of US forces in the seccesionist states is an indication as to the seriousness of their intent.

In an unexpected move several key burmese military leaders were assasinated by a group of colonels calling themselves, "the fathers of democracy". The impact is a sudden collapse of government. Still the void is filled quickly as a massive aid influx from India allows the colonels to take the reins in the country and set a date for elections. The leader of the colonels is a birmese with clear sympathies for india and whose party proposes a merger with their next door neighbour. Wether this will succeed remains to be seen.

Malasia and Tailand have expressed concern that the 'anschluss' with India could upset the balance of power and urge the SEA council to negotiate a more balanced deal.

And yes, I accounted for the NEU+KOH contributions. I added ten wealth to my trade/aid packages income, and I made sure to spend all ten points of it on improving Economy. In fact, I can officially account for all my foreign aid income that way, with the military spending coming from my normal wealth and trade.

Also, I noticed I did my "spending wealth on research" wrong, adding another die instead of another point. Assume I spent 1 point of Good Governance in addition to the Wealth; I have all seven of my Civil points to spare.

Today at an EAST conference in Minsk, the Federal Republic of Ukraine's representative proposed a massive joint-venture between the members of the alliance in the advancement of space exploration, building on Ukraine and Russia's current space programs. Citing dwindling resources and rising unrest, the representative said that mankind must, as they have for millenia, look to the stars for their future. The proposal includes the mining of the moon, Venus, and Mars for useful minerals, and the building of space stations for solar energy collection and hydroponic farming.

Finally Azerbaijans tanks roll into the Armenia capitol and force the government to capitulate. Although some territorial disputes were settled it now seems that this occupation could last longer. Armenians cry out to Russia to intervene, saying 'it was better to be one with Russia under the soviet union, the be occupied by Azerbaijan'

Economy stabilised

No more nuclear war and only a handful of trouble spots stabilizes the economy. Analyst predict that under current trend the economy might boom in the coming years.

US

The US warns that it is not about race, but about nationhood. None will be discriminated, but the Union will be unbroken. Still it seems that the harsh crackdown on rioters is creating more resentment.

Still in full swing, but as more and more countries are getting alternative fuel sources it seems that the might very well instead come a boom of the economy as fuel prices might finally drop after half a century of records.

Range of NEU Political scandals

Prominent NEU politicians have resigned over allegations of their actions in the previouis regimes. A new generation of politicians coming in seem to optimistic about the future and invite BRITAIN and ireland to join them as a third pillar. The "Germanic, British and Scandinavia" pillars would be formed under the new union, each with it's own regional government, but with benefits for the collective.

The ability that advanced solar cells offer is a stable alternative to fossil fuels. Whilst not being as economically profitable as extraction from the soil as the collectors are still expensive, it is a large step forward.

It resolves a countries energy needs and makes space colonization yet another step closer.

Distances between planets in the inner solar system (Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars) now reduce their distance factor to 1, rather then 3. (due to more light in the inner solar system making these systems effective enough here).

(so moving from earth surface to mars is about as expensive as going to the moon as the mission doesn't need to be refueled)

The outer solar system still costs the same.

Ukraine's economy continues to boom thanks to the government's pro-business policies. The manufacturing and housing sectors, in particular, have been extremely bullish. The Ukrainian government has taken advantage of the vastly increased tax revenue both to further cut business taxes and invest in improving the nation's civil infrastructure, primarily in the transportation and healthcare sectors, with new freeway and MagLev networks, and a thorough revamp of the national healthcare system and several new major hospitals. The Ukrainian Space Agency is also receiving some of the governments windfall, as Ukraine gears up for the new age of space exploration by improving its launch and control facilities.

Ukraine has also enacted, unilaterally, a policy of civil and governmental aid to the minor nations of EAST. The "good governance" policy is offered freely to Georgia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova and Belarus, with Ukrainian civil authorities offering their assistance to the smaller countries in improving their government in whatever way they see fit. In the case of Armenia, Ukraine has offered assistance in rebuilding in the aftermath of Azerbaijani aggression. Ukraine has also stated that similar assistance will be provided to anyone who joins EAST in the future, "up to our ability to provide it, of course."

Indian Population Celebrates Its Leaders!

With one of the worlds foremost systems of Law & Governance, and an unprecedented level of inter-religion tolerance, the Indian people spontaneously celebrate their freedoms, luck, and local areas. Ukraine's economy continues to boom thanks to the government's pro-business policies. The manufacturing and housing sectors, in particular, have been extremely bullish. The Ukrainian government has taken advantage of the vastly increased tax revenue both to further cut business taxes and invest in improving the nation's civil infrastructure, primarily in the transportation and healthcare sectors, with new freeway and MagLev networks, and a thorough revamp of the national healthcare system and several new major hospitals. The Ukrainian Space Agency is also receiving some of the governments windfall, as Ukraine gears up for the new age of space exploration by improving its launch and control facilities.

Ukraine has also enacted, unilaterally, a policy of civil and governmental aid to the minor nations of EAST. The "good governance" policy is offered freely to Georgia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova and Belarus, with Ukrainian civil authorities offering their assistance to the smaller countries in improving their government in whatever way they see fit. In the case of Armenia, Ukraine has offered assistance in rebuilding in the aftermath of Azerbaijani aggression. Ukraine has also stated that similar assistance will be provided to anyone who joins EAST in the future, "up to our ability to provide it, of course."

In the absence of replies from Moscow, Ukraine would like to propose a joint-venture space program between the nations of Europe. This would be an expansion of our earlier proposal for a program exclusive to EAST. In an easily-passed parliamentary measure completed earlier today, Ukraine agreed to designate 20% of its armed forces as under EAST jurisdiction, dedicating that number of troops to the alliance on a permanent basis. Unless there is an objection from other members, Ukraine will suggest that EAST troops go to protecting Georgia from potential Azerbaijani aggression. (Unless Georgia objects, Ukraine will station 1 Army and 2 Air in Georgian territory)

Ukraine has, perhaps unfairly, turned a blind eye to your aggression in the Caucasus, thinking Russia might want to deal with it themselves. Second, we call upon the United Nations and all nations of the world to help end the occupation of Armenia by a foreign power. Azerbaijan should withdraw their troops from foreign territory immediately; an impartially moderated negotiation can settle the territory dispute.

We can't let Azerbaijan just run amok in the Caucasus. I've already begun the process of shoring up Georgia's defenses (Georgia, I also suggest you use my governmental assistance to bolster your Army), but we must consider the possibility that we need to liberate Armenia by force or threat of force. Moreover, this should help Russia's little social issues in their Caucasian provinces. Together, and with a solid commitment of troops, I have no doubt that we can take on Azerbaijan and their allies. Russia's air force, in particular, is needed to counteract the Afghan and Pakistani air support. Russia's covert support alone was not enough to protect Armenia, but with all of us together, I believe we can liberate it.
