Alright folks, I figure that I'll keep an up-to-date party roster here for easy reference.

Alright, with that out of the way, heres just a little more I want to tell you.

I'm planning for this to be mainly character based, so that means that I don't plan for there to be much DM herding. I'll still be giving you missions and things, but how you accomplish them is entirely up to how your characters decide to pull it off.

Also, if you decide that there's something you want you character to do as a side quest, please talk to me about it, and I'll see how I can fit it in.

Oh and one more thing, I'd like you all to PM me something your characters would never want anyone to find out that you didn't put on your sheet.

(last PbP i had was full of "I walk up to the orc and hit it." types. good to be with the "Edward charged foreward, battle cries on his lips, and smote the orc with his sword" crowd again.

Oops... Got the skill bonuses wrong (Tangled Web is blocked at school). Actual results are:

Using Read Magic, Spellcraft check to identify the rune: (1d20+15)[32]
Knowledge: Arcana to see if I recognise the silver-globe trick: (1d20+16)[29]
Spellcraft for same: (1d20+15)[23]
Knowledge (Planes) for same: (1d20+14)[28]

EDIT: Another thing...

We'll need to work something out for any sticking-sharp-metal-into-things we do- I'll be after using a generic Knowledge check (not Dark Knowledge) to find out what things are most of the time, and I'd like to be able to shout something thematically appropriate when I make the Dark Knowledge check (usually in the first round I have available). Because of the time-zone difference, it'd be difficult and clunky for me to make a Knowledge check and then have to wait a day to do my turn- the only alternative I can think of is to have something spoilered with the Knowledge DC to learn it outside (that requires trust and you don't know me very much, so it depends how paranoid you are!).

An example of the kind of thing I mean: the Pseudodragon Lore from the Wizards website would be done like the following:

You could bung one of them in with the description of the monsters as we meet them, then I and any other Knowledge-users could make a Knowledge check in our posts and read the bits it lets us read.

I think I could work something like that out. Trust isn't really an issue right now, everyone just has to keep in mind that if I suspect anyone of looking at it, that random gnome NPC WILL turn into a very angery elder white dragon. You have been warned.

Eeeexcellent... That'll speed combat up a bit- I'd really prefer to be able to put, "Erasmus shouts, "Aim for its eyes- they have no carapace," aiming his crossbow towards the creature's face" than "Dark Knowledge (Tactics) bonus +2 to hit for everyone."
