The two scorpions thrash as Allison's magics bypass their innate resistance to all magics, even as the fire barely flickers on them, although the spell's magical damage penetrates.
But even as they writhe in pain, the wounds heal as well. One scorpion attempts to last up at Allison with it's tail, but she is above the other one and it misses.
The second one however, drops the dragon and it lets out a pitiful keen. It's tail lashes up, slicing through the wind at Allison.
SpoilerColossal creatures have a vertical reach of 128 feet. For the scorpion, I won't say it's claws reach, obviously. It's stinger however...

The sting strikes a glancing blow at her side, eliciting a grimace—and a burst of white-hot fire that sears through the scorpion's tail. Allison rises upwards, carefully guarding herself from the lashing tail as she does.

The stinger seems to catch aflame, with fire that burns hotter than should be possible and even partially melts the stinger, even as it begins to heal.

She can feel a slow, suffused heat from the flames spreading up her arm and across her torso. It was nowhere near the raw, bone-deep ache that would have come without the protection she had devised, which (she knew from experience) could intensify until it felt as if one's bones were burning from the inside.
This was much better; but she almost felt she could feel the pain at one remove anyway. Pointing, Allison channels considerably less potent energies, and a curve of pale, heatless flame sweeps down and into the injured scorpion, smashing on its carapace like a wave striking rocks and looping about into the second.

The eldritch blast strikes true, and splits off part of it's own heatless fire, catching the second scorpion.
Skittering, the more hurt scorpion backs away, catching notice of the others and charges towards them. The thing moves entirely too quickly for comfort.
The less hurt one continues to thrust it's stinger into the air fruitlessly.

Genuinely irritated—something the mild throbbing sensation of the scorpion venom hadn't been able to do yet—Allison pulls a foot-long rod from her belt, inlaid with dull red enamel and shaped to resemble a spearhead, and points at the fleeing/charging scorpion. White fire erupts from her hand around the scepter, speeding after the scorpion and knifing through its chitin armor as if it isn't there.

I think it's clear both our spells will enhance your combat abilities says Memnoth preparing for the incoming beast. With a swift gesture and a muttered word, the usual green bright on his eyes turns blue, as the spell he just cast grants him insight on how to overcome the creature's defenses.
He touches the ground and concentrates in his mystical powers, making a column of impossibly hot fire descend from mid air upon the beast.
After casting his spell, Memnoth walks to stand beside his squad and orders his golem Move in front of me directing it between him and the charging beast.
SpoilerUsing Assay resistance with the closest scorpion to get +10 to overcome its SR. Then he casts a searing flamestrike.

Damage: (12d6)[42], half is divine, half is fire that ignores fire resistance or does half damage to fire-immune creatures.

Having previously loosed his shield which floats beside him, Thorg watches the oncoming monster. Deep seated anger rises inside of him.
Foamy spittle starts to spill out from slots in his mask as Thorg begins to twitch and shake. His vision beginning to close down to a long red tube with death on the other end. Shaking out his arms and legs for a moment he prepares for the coming battle. His sword darkens in color as as shimmering swirl of brilliant light and oily blackness envelops it.

Thorg jumps high into the air as Memnoth's flamestrike burns into the creature. As Thorg starts returning to the ground his blade first, the beast lashes out.

The colossal scorpion plucks Thorg out of the air, crushing him with a single claw, even as flame burns away more of it's carapace.
It's stinger then whips around to his held captive, even as it's other claw strikes him as well.

Thorg lashes out at the scorpion holding him, his clawed hand raking into the creature as another hellish blast is launched by Allison and Memnoth's holy light burns it.
The creature staggers forward, almost absently continuing to crush at Thorg as it swipes at Mottle.

As Thorg rips the claw holding him apart, Mottle's invisible blade slices deep into the heart of the scorpion, dropping it into the ground, raising a huge dust cloud as it falls. With a final twitch of it's tail, it lives no more.

Allison doesn't bother with a sigh of relief as the first scorpion falls; she immediately turns her attention to the second. Another wave of her hand, this time without the point of the scepter—now that the scorpion has seen her companions, she needn't worry about attracting its attention to them, and so she flies after it—and another stream of white fire streaks towards the creature.

Seeing the first scorpion fall, the sand lich simply follows forward towards the second, not worrying about its possible attacks. The monstruous vermin bring memories of his father, the tales he was told as a kid, but Memnoth quickly discards them as sentimentalism of a past life.
Spoilerok, then, running towards the second scorpion. I'm better at close range, so I don't mind much if it grabs me. In about an hour I'm leaving for a trip that will last a couple of days. (I should be back friday afternoon). Memnoth will use touch attacks (two a round, attack bonus +27 thanks to the bard) that do 5d6 dehydration (Fort save DC30 for half) 1d6 con (Fort save DC24 to avoid) and 5d6 fire (ignores fire resistance and does half damage to creatures immune to fire, no save).
If he's not grappled and concentration is not otherwisw threatened, he will cast and use harm, Will DC 26; 120 damage if failed, 60 if successful.

He notes the position of the sand lich and begins to charge. He leaps over the form of the lich striking out at the giant bug.

Memnoth distracts the huge scorpion by allowing himself to be caught, as he watches Thorg sail over his head, falchion leading, swinging a deadly series of blows. The blade driving straight into the scorpion's skull, as blood and ichor burst from inside it, covering the raging half-orc.
A massive shudder goes through the body of the scorpion, as first the tail falls, barely missing Thorg, before the rest of the body shakes and falls, ripping Thorg's blade out of it as it collapses to the ground, quite dead.
