"Excuse me, miss?" He reaches over to tap Izzy's shoulder, "May I ask who you are, and why a Spaniard is being held in a cell?"

If I'm mistaken in my knowledge of the definition of the word Spaniard, then just replace it with the word "man".

As far as I know, he is indeed a Spaniard.
Izzy rubbed her eyes, looking up to Mr. Quinne in surprise.
"Oh. I'm Isadora Montoya. Er, Izzy. That's my father in there; supposedly, he's all of a sudden gone evil, and you GLoG people said we could keep him in there so he doesn't kill anyone and I don't kill him."

Not phased at all by Izzy saying she's likely to try to kill him if it weren't for the cell, he responds gingerly. "I'm known as Mr. Quinne. It's a pleasure to meet you. So what's the story on your father being turned evil? It's almost like a trend in the organization." Before Izzy can answer, Quinne adds, "Oh! If you happen to see a kobold around here, don't kill him."

"Um..right." Izzy regarded the mannequin brought to life with a wary blue eye, but shrugged. Things had been weirder.
"I'm not sure what happened, really. He was acting strange, I casted some truth spell on him Tempest taught me once, and he spilled his guts. Was going to kill my mother, not that I very much blame him, and inslave me and all the other HALOites. Or, so, that was his plan. He's, um, not that bright you see. Didn't recall that I abhor all things of the evil side of the spectrum, or would be just as likely to kill him as anything else." The young girl frowned, lifting a hand to run through her ebony hair, careful of the small goats horns to be found there.
"Err, sorry. I suppose that sounded like a bunch of rambling to you. Hell, I don't really even know you and I just spilled myself to you." As is typical with teenage angst, Izzy stood up and crossed her arms, slightly pouting.

He laughs a little as he says, "Well, I'm very good with secrets if that's what you just told me. Common courtesy and all." He looks up at Izzy's horns, and continues talking. "May I ask what your mother was? I don't think Mr. Montoya is likely to be the reason for your horns. Well, no further than a father can be."

"You don't understand, sir. I hate people. I don't trust anyone. That I've told you anything just shows how emotionally exhausted I am." Even so, Izzy lifted a hand, forming an image in the air which slowly made itself more solid after a few moment, showing a green-haired woman with large black bat wings and black curled ram's horns.
"The thing you could most call my mother is named Hitomi Airlia Sanoyuki, Queen of the court of Memnoch, blah, blah, blah. She's a vampire-succubus, and a waste of space."

It all depends on different variables that are too numerous to list, or for that matter, remember." He turns his head slightly to face the image. "A Vampire-Succubus... "Well... no. If I was, I'd probably be very stupid. Guessing by the current date, I'd say I was perfectly human up until 600-odd years ago. I was just another traveling monk back then. One of many, but a tad bit wiser. At the end of my humanity I found myself devoured by a creature that I had never heard of before. It was unfortunate, and for any other man it would have been maddening. You see, every year a soul spends in the creature, it feels like a hundred. It's a tad awkward to explain fully, so I'll just skip to the end.

A week or so ago I awoke inside a forest, and was shackled to a wall before I knew how to really move around in my new body. Back then I was made of roughly crafted wood. The man who shackled me was quite mad, and lacked a pair of pants. I called him Willy. I was rescued, I guess, from my half-naked captor by a Mr. Ratavo, and a Ms. Tessa. I believe they have left this place since then."

Izzy waved her hand, gesturing that it really wasn't too incredibly important.
"It has something to do with how I was genetically concieved in a test tube, or something. I'm not real clear on the specifics. I was a toddler for all of a week, I think. Very fortunate for me it just happened to stop once I reached this age you see." She blinked again and frowned at Mr. Quinne.

"Very fortunate, indeed. Even if you were to age rapidly again, I think I could help you. An old order of monks taught me a time defying ritual. I was very lucky to learn it, because they do not teach it to anyone outside their order. It reduced the age of a being. Usually it's to post-adulthood. There is a chance that it will bite you in the ass and age you further, but that's very unlikely.

In regards to Willy, I don't know why he didn't wear pants. It was a fashion trend, maybe? He was a very strange person. I asked him about his pants once, and he stuck a nail in my head for about a week before taking it out to use on a block of wood. It didn't hurt, but it felt very uncomfortable."

Basically, I'm like a man with extreme amounts of painkiller in him, but has full mobility. I guess I'm odd like that." He lifts a chair from a nearby wall, and sits on it. The chair squeaks and scratches as he sits down.

"Actually I'm made out of Mithral right now thanks to GLoG's weird spork thing." He taps his head with his knuckle, making a somewhat solid ting sound. "It's odd to me, but I don't question the power of some things. It's like asking how I came back into this world."

He was wood up until he first joined GLoG. Kris turned him mithral by his own request, then Mr. Quinne added some finer detail. The picture linked in my signature is out of date. He's not wearing any clothes. I try to imagine him looking something like a combination of an Iron golem and a Shield Guardian, but shinier.

I don't know if metal on wood is any better on the ears.

    It wasn't.
In anycase, Izzy muttered irritatedly. So much for her plans just in case. Her thoughts turned to other alternatives, though she could think of nothing, knowing little about mithral herself.

"Heh, I've asked myself that once. I want to prevent the loss of life in this world. I want to lengthen the life of the young. I want to defend the weak. Y'know, the usual stuff. I'm perfectly fine since I have a whole new world to explore, although I could probably do that in a few hours. I'm taking it slow so I don't overwhelm myself and become bored. Along with those reasons I've given, I don't want anyone to have to be devoured by that beast like I was." Mr. Quinne's body suddenly flashes into several positions on his chair until he is but on image. He wears a long tailed suit jacket, and a crooked tophat. Where his face is, there are markings similar to that of a simple jesters mask. He fumes with black smog from several locations around his body as he looks at Izzy. He brings his right index finger to where his mouth should be, "Shhhhh" and brings it back down directly after saying that. "Heeheeheeheeheehahahahahahaa!!!" An instant later he flashes back into his normal self. It would almost seem like an illusion. Mr. Quinne then continues to talk as if nothing happened. "Frankly, I'm just glad some people take such interest in others, even if it's for precautionary measures. That is why you're asking me? Right? Or are you one of the few who are genuinely interested?"

Izzy's eyes widened at the sight, illusion or not, and she continued to gape at Mr Quinne after he had finished speaking, her mouth opened slightly, indigo eyes glossed over with something not quite fear...disturbia. Yes.
    Yes, that would be it.
However, Mr Quinne continued on as if it hadn't happened, and so Izzy pushed the image away, determining it to be a trick of her mother's or something.
"Of course its why I'm asking. Not that you aren't a particularly interesting being, but, you know..." Her words trailed off.

Good plane, one of the first fore-sweep planes. Highly maneuverable for its time. Standard controls. Heh, everyone flies by wire these days. Or at least they do where I come from. From what I've seen in other worlds, this is the cutting edge.

((Kris comes from a alternate Earth 20 minutes into the future. Elves and other sentient races are pretty much extinct, but magical beasts, outsiders and fey are very much alive. If you've seen the 2000s Batllestar Galactica, that's pretty much the current tech level, just no space flight.))

Kris. And by 'fly by wire' I mean, fully automated flight. Good and all, but sometimes you need to have controls in your hand.

((20 minutes into the future basically means a setting more technologically advanced than modern Earth, without any advances in culture. Such settings are usually vaguely dystopian. A classic example would be the 2000s Battlestar Galactica. A futuristic starship and setting... with 21st Century Americans. Right down to the clothing.))

Ah yes. Just trying to sound smart. That's not actually what 'fly by wire' means. I say, still managing to be polite.

I head to the room with the fuel trucks and such, and come back in a fuel truck to drain the attached tanks.
