Self buddy? [A mistake in comic 597]

First time I reed, I thought that it was something on the line of "Selfish buddy", a critique against Vaarsuvius.
As English (and american slang) are not my first language, I did a little research, and found that "self buddy" (self.buddy) is somehow used in Python (a programing language), but could be just a coincidence (I'm not a programmer).

It's not a typo. It's an intentional joke.

Yeah, but there's still two jokes in question:

1: V is so much like , that congratulates V by congratulating himself or
2: is simply congratulating himself.

I've changed my mind and have settled for #2.
