For those unaware of elven customs, marriages are huge in elf land. After all, with several hundred years of life, it often takes decades to decide who to marry. Therefore, marriages are few and far between, but are huge celebrations.

Considering Mr. Quinne is French, he could very easily do so. And I guess I did miss that.
