Something big is happening, I can feel it." - Anya looks to the distance, to the towering mountains, with dreamy eyes. "Oh, yes, sorry for my rudeness. I am Anya Fatebringer, a humble servant of the Twilight Princess." - Anya bows to the stranger - "We were thinking about investigating these strange lights and also the strange dissapearances, you are welcome to join us if you wish. Your map could be useful. I suppose, from what you say, that you are the leader of the Destined Guild ?"

Anya almost drops to the ground with Lim's small surprise, because she was distracted. She menacingly waves her mace near Lim, threating to hit him, but soon stops, and waves her hand to the stranger.

"This good fellow here says he has a map to a shrine on one of the places where the strange lights appeared. It seems that a wizard named Palagay went there, but found something horrible."

Anya looks from Lim to the stranger, then back to Lim and back to the stranger. "Oh yes, you haven't introduced yourself yet. What is your name ?"

However, it seems that you already talked to him, or otherwise knows him someway, so it is not necessary for us to meet him. If he already told you what he knew about those lights, then I guess we won't be getting much more information than we have now."

"times a wasting and time is money so all this chatter is wasting my money and i don't like that. are we ready to go now?"asks lim anxiously. He has already drawn his khopesh and is ready to start the march.

As he waits for everyone to ready themselves he stands to the side limbering up.

Halia is rather shocked as Lim jumps out at them, Playing in return, as he has been with Lim for a while now, He shoots of a quick bolt of flames just next to Lim. You gotta be careful there, You were almost dinner for all of us.

Turning back at the group, My name is Halia. With you having the information we would be after, I believe we can skip that part of the day. Let's look forwards to find out what is going on and get it fixed as quickly as possible.

"yes, but i'll be the lead, since i have the map..." i say passing Lim and reading the map; the path only went part way to the shrine, which meant that they would never have made it all the way to it if they followed the paths it would mean some trekking and cutting through underbrush; which luckily was only at the side of clearings and paths...which Naz'Tharoth knew from previous episodes where he was forced to hide in such underbrush...it was an excellent hiding place especially for a small being like himself..

" come now Halia if you let me help you with your aim you may be able to hit me sometime" says Lim coyfully. the two commonly replayed this same joke over and over. The two got along quite well but poking fun at each other is probobly the most binding thing they had. both enjoyed it however.

"really? which of us is the better scout? obviously i know more methods of escaping danger than just blindly running or sneaking; if you wish to lead that is your choice...i simply wish to have the first view...i have already memorized the map"I say handing the map to lim and motioning to him to return to the group, i then head between a split in the path careful not to make any unnecissary noise which may give my position away at the same time keeping a good lookout for whatever may lurk about...

It is a rather long journey to reach the paths marked by the map. The road itself only reaches a few miles past the city into the heavily forested mountains.

Wow. Two natural 1s, a natural 20, and a 2.

As the road dwindled away into game trails, the party blunders up and down mountainsides, across streams, and through dense underbrush. Despite a great deal of trouble finding your way to the first landmark on the map, the party does manage to avoid leaving a trail or making any unnecessary noises.

Thoroughly exhausted, you heave yourselves up onto the lip of a large plateau.

ooc: as a result of poor nature, perception, and endurance checks, the party all loses their action point and 1 healing surge. Also, it is now nightime. Fortunatly, the successful stealth check means you weren't ambushed.

thouroughly exhausted i spread out my bedroll and lie down under it's mediocre covers; (ooc:for those who don't know a bedroll is the equivelant of a roll up bed that sometimes includes a pillow; it basically consists of a mattress a blanket and in the rare cases a travel pillow that usually comes seperate) i then state"it's probably best not to start a fire; it would attract unwarranted attention" before closing my eyes to rest, although maintaining a weary attitude for i never truly am at ease, even in my sleep

Setting up camp for the night Halia pulls out some jerked meat and begins to warm them up. I believe we need to set up a watch for the nights, so we have someone awake at all times incase we have trouble.

<Passive perception>

As you begin settling down to rest, you clearly hear voices through the trees, as some group moves through the forest on the plateau. It is quickly clear that they are headed directly towards you.

You have just enough time to ready yourselves when a group of orcs, seemingly led by a few black robed humans in their midst appear through the trees and darkness. Two of the humans carry large, strangely shaped swords, and the other a tall staff adorned with a charred skull. The human with the staff spots you first, and immediately begins chanting under his breath.

Nice move there Lim, But remember there is a difference between defending yourself and stepping over that line. No need to spit on them, Just char them to a crisp. She let's out a small quiet giggle.

But remember, I wore him down for you. Lim always brings out the lighter personality in her, not letting her get caught up and have her inner fires released. Luckily he knows just how far he is able to push her before she explodes, and since the first time he hasn't taken it that far.
