    Anya looks around, worried about orcs or cultists seeing them. They in the center of the enemy's area, after all. An attack could come from anywhere, at anytime.

    "Well, I think we need to do something, and fast. We will probably need to cleanse this shrine of the orcs' corruption, but I can ask my mentor for that later. I don't know if we can survive if we try to fight all the orcs, at least not by ourselves. What do you think ?"

    There are numerous rituals, many similar to Make Whole, that can be used to repair damage and banish influences. The evil auras in the shrine are essentially superficial, and it seems likely that the non-physical violations will quickly fade when the evil present leaves. What rituals those might be, well, Halia has no idea.

    Destroying the shrine is certainly possible, but it would take quite a bit of work to break up all of the stonework.

    Halia can tell that the sword has a separate aura from the shrine and evil, and that the sword is newer than the shrine and older than the current evil.

    It seems that there are a few things we can do, We can take the time to destroy the shrine, might take a while but would stop the evilness around here.

    Otherwise we can destroy the evil that are attempting to use it, will have almost the same effect, but won't be permanent. But it will be alot easier and well... easier and cheaper.

    Now, as far as the sword, it radiates quite a bit of evil itself, I am unsure what might happen if we leave this sword here for them. I think someone should take that sword, It is some of the power that is going into the altar.

    The sword comes free easily - there is a second or two where nothing happens, then lightning begins flashing throughout the courtyard.

    For a few moments after the sword is draw there is absolute silence. A deafening silence as sound seems to leave the area before returning with a thunderous crash and a flash of light as a body appears suspended in mid-air.

    Suddenly the body drops to the floor with a thud and a groan as the figure gets to his knees, putting his hand out towards Minthorel, the sword disappearing from his hands and re-appearing in the strangers grip as he fully regained his feet.

    The lightning burst of the figure's appearance continues outword, striking all around the shrine. The crackling sparks strike fast enough and quickly enough that there is no real way to avoid them.

    As the black stones are struck by the lightning., they begin radiating a new aura - bright and powerful it seems to be banishing the shadowed death that had permeated the area.

    The burst continues radiating outward, and the sleeping orcs and cultists to the north are roused even as the bolts strike them.

    The magics being released are doing strange things in the stone circle. Arcane energies whipsaw back in forth, as shadows and lights seem to take tangible form. Looking through the area almost seems to bend whatever is inside it.

    Anya's first reaction was surprise, then hostility. However, after a few words spoken, all agree that the swordsman is not a threat, and that all must work together to overcome the orc enemies. With that said, Anya moves closer to the enemy's group, readying herself for battle.

    The group of orcs and cultists, still somewhat shaken from the lightning still radiating outward over the mountains, move cautiously towards the intruders on their shrine.

    Even as the orcs begin moving, another group of... things... comes bursting out of the ruined buildings. They are mostly wearing tattered patchworks of skins and fur, though their clothing reveals more flesh than it conceals. The creatures have been tattood, branded, and otherwise mutilated to a point where it is impossible to tell what sort of being they once were. Moving incredible quickly on their twisted legs, they brandish great, burning swords above their heads as they shout a strangely gargled warcry.

    Despite their clear anger and fury, they don't seem to be paying the intruders much particular attention. Suddenly, one by one, searing rays lance from their mouths, each striking one of the stones of the shrine.

    The six nearest stones immediately cease crackling with electrical magic and instead return to their previous, sullen dark states.

    The four initiates each burst into flame as they take their attacks. With their last gasps, however, they manage to call more rays, which darken another four stones. As the crackling discharges of yet more stones cease, the altar itself begins to visible pulse with a shadowy power, noticable even to those with no arcane mastery.

    The initiate is struck deeply by Lim's blade, though this one doesn't put any effort into striking another standing stone, now that the shrine is pulsating with reddish shadow. Instead, as it falls it takes a desperate slash at Lim with it's flaming sword.
