Jesharad to Bhareld, The Astral Plane

"If you find me distracted brother, I apologize, but it is in my nature to wander, and I wish to acquiant myself with the other Gods. That said, I shall also remain here with you, but my attentions may be split, as I listen to the words of the other Gods." Jesharad says to Bherald, even as his form shimmers and splits in two. The newly shaped Jesharad had only a common robe, with no engraved staff nor tools in his pockets. Simply nodding to Bhareld, the two Jesharads look at each other, and then the newly formed one disappears.

    Jesharad, The Beach of Etiquette

Arriving upon the Beach of Etiquette, the double of Jesharad starts to mingle in the great city that dominates the beach. An avid seeker of knowledge and the mind, Jesharar walks amongst the city, taking in all the sights and wonders. He waits for the lord of the plane to spare his attentions, as he has made no secret of his arrival, but feels it would be rude to interrupt Yen to beg an audience. He disrupts nothing, buys nothing, and simply watches as the city functions. He stands in no place for very long, but that is no problem, for there is much to explore and learn in the workings of the mortals on this, or any plane.

    Yen: The Midnight Carnival

It was true, all information found itself to Yen in his rainy and emerald plane, the Shikigami dead serving as his eyes and ears for the many cities. This new godling had at the very least shown respect by not merely running into his private chambers uninvited, perhaps the youth were learning from the elders mistakes? It was possible. Yen raised from his seat, a sled appearing at his side, racing to the Beach of Etiquette.

The sled pulled up infront of the new god as Yen strode out of its seat,

"Hello my friend! Welcome to the Midnight Carnival. You seem not to be enjoying yourself. This is a plane for all gods and spirits and even mortals to throw their troubles away. How may I help you?"

Yen gives a wide grin, bowing only slightly.

With a deep respectful respectful bow Jesharad replies to the Fox God "I am an odd person in many ways, simply watching others achieve is an entertainment if of itself to me. Most especially in a city as grand as this, where thousands of beings are simultaneously interacting, thinking and moving. I thank you for your concern.

I am here today to pay respects to you as master of this plane, as well as to meet and greet you so that we may become acquainted. I have plans to do the same with all the Gods, so that I could introduce myself and establish relations. I decided to start with you, for the wealth of intellect you have given to the world is greatly pleasing.

My name is Jesharad the Introspective, and in accordance with my name my purview is that of the mind, self growth, and self awareness. My nature as it is, I hope that we can become amicable towards each other, but any way this encounter goes I feel that it is necessary to be aware of one's peers."

    Dayo's Messenger, The Midnight Carnival

Dayo's messenger grew (more) bored with the droll cyle of gliding and rising required to stay well above the great lake's surface. The huge amount of weapons he carried were beginning to weigh on him, and he questioned the decision to fly here without creating for him another holding-bag.

Naturally, he did what most bored representative of gods would do: He flew to the city, landed, and searched for some sort of a place he could rest. But before he could find a proper place (He was told something called an Inn would be a nice palce to rest) he was distrated, by two figures of immense power speaking to each other. He listened, occasionally shifting his large load.

"Yes, it would be wonderful to be...nice to one another wouldn't it? My name is Yen, and this is as I have said, The Midnight Carnival. You really should loosen up. There is more then just one way to learn things.

But I thank you for being respectful and comming to my domain first. If there is anything I can do for you in the future? You know where to go? Do not be bashful to enter the Palace, after all, gods need not consort down here over long."

    Jesharad nods and replies.

"Thank you for your offer, I shall be sure to visit your palace. I am normally not as unactive, but I felt it prudent not to disturb the dynamics of another God's domain without permission, if for no other reason than that it would be rude.

Perhaps... it would be greatly pleasing if once the world's oceans settle down, or should I say when the temper of the water God dies down, that your Shikigami would help to establish trade relations across the land bridge with the new race of me and my fellow God of knowledge. We gave them an initial sheltered existence, but as they grow I hope that they shall expand and experience the totality of the world.

With that said, I hear that you enjoy stories, and if it pleases you upon my next visit I shall return with many to entertain. Or if you so desire, I have many a puzzle and riddle to occupy the mind."

"I do enjoy stories, and riddles, and anything else that might entertain! And my Shikigami will do as they were made to do. They will brave the waves to open the world. I assure you. Your people will see them soon. Stay here as long as you desire. Sadly I am busy and there is another here waiting for my presence."

Yen's eyes dart to the messanger of Dayo, and before either can react, Yen is gone, appearing before the creature

"You've waited a long while. Forgive me, I am busy. What business do you have with me here hmmm?"

Shikigami Gathering: Mountain’s of the Main Continent

It had taken time. A good deal of time, but the entirety of The Twilight had gathered together, deep in a secluded rainy glade. Each Band had a single representative, the rest of the entirety of the Shikigami forming a massive tent city, sprawling over the whole glade. At the center, a single stone and wood structure stood, the first and most glorious temple dedicated to The Grinning Lord.

Deep in its many twisting hallways and hidden chambers, the leaders of the Shikigami sat, dressed in their obscuring robes. Each a powerful member of the Travelers of the Six Path’s, seated around a circular slab of stone, the middle adorned by an ornate hookah made to appear as a sleeping fox.

The First was La Da the leader of the Clear Snow Band, explorers of the farther reachs of the large mountainous continent. His Seat was named the Nakara Seat and was made of the bones of dozens of skeletons of creatures that had died through overdose.

The Second was Vasae A’hi, the leader of the Raging Waves Band, a young and free spirited Shikigami. His Seat was named the Ghostly Seat, and was made of white ash.

The Third, the newly appointed leader of the Gentle Pine Band, was a young female named Ran, who had led her decimated Band to the meeting place after the defeat with the shadowkin. Her seat was named the Fox Seat, and was made of the bones and skulls of fox and other forest animals.

The Fourth and Fifth were the brother and sister pair Aman and Shuhei the leaders of the Screaming Plains Band. The smallest and most secretive Band, this appearance marked the first meeting of the Band with the rest of the Shikigami nation. Their Seats were known as the Seat of Greed and the Seat of Mortals, and were made of bamboo and soft cushions respectively.

The Final seat was taken by Lau, the eldest of the entire Shikigami nation, his once brilliant firey orange hair silver and gray. Lau stood over the largest and most active Band, known as The Open Palm Band. His Seat was named the Seat of The Grinning Lord, and was made from the purest gems.

Lau stood, placing his pipe and hose on the table.

“Greeting my bothers and sisters, for the first and hopefully not last General Meeting of The Twilight. I hope the journey found you well?”

The others simply nodded, taking a glass in hand as Lau continued

“We have come from all corners, and have all gone through hardships. Soon the world will begin to change. We have all seen the races of the other gods, and we know they will soon grow strong as we have. We must be ready. The Twilight stands for this simple reason, and this council, may it be cemented in history of our people for all time, shall guide the world’s interactions, as does the Fox command. Do we have objections?”

    The others shook their heads.

“Very well then. Each of you shall be tasked to establish a center in each of the regions, so as to regulate our dealings so that we may stay hidden where needed, powerful in regions that need a firm hand, and to be sooth others in regions heated by emotions. That is why I called you all here. To the our power base, the city of Tenki. This land shall forever cement our power, and shall be our homes. I must ask that you pick a second in command for your people, as you must remain here.”

A murmur of distrust filled the room. The Twins stood as Shuhei spoke

“Excuse me Elder, but surely this is a joke? None of us have left the sides of our friends and family. Surely this would weaken us greatly. Not only against the other creatures and beasts of this world but surely against those more ambitious then we?”

    Lau burst out laughing

“There are none that even closely hold that title in our numbers. Before us there were more Bands, those leaders who refused to gather here for that very reason were slain and their bands absorbed into the Exiles March Band. You all are masters of the Six Paths, and have seen in your mind how this will play out. Surely you are not worried about your men? Do you not trust them?”

Shuhei sat glaring daggers at the elder Shikigami, but remained silent

“Now then. We have much to discuss. Do we all agree on the proposed?”

    The rest nod again.

“Then I hear by call this meeting closed until tonight. A toast. For the future.”

The others stand, raising their glass’s together speaking in unison.

    “For the future”

Then, once again in the most bored-sounding voice possible, he said, "My master sent you here to see if you had accepted his gifts. When he was finished with Ishtar, Lyarin returned to the god-forge. He needed further allies, at least something to complicate the system of checks and balances that existed between the two emerging camps. From a giant mass of raw world-stuff the God of Entropy worked. He poured divine energy into his creation, and the touch of entropy was upon it. When he was finished, the creature he had created appeared to have... too much. The Lord of Entropy split his creation in two, and made identical creatures, but a small deformity was left by the separation, and so they were both marked identically by the hand of their creator. The Lord of Entropy gave one last, small effort and brought the pair into being as one thought.

Lerios watched gleefully at first, as the Lycanthropes and Undead tore through the Shadowkin, and then as the Flame God foolishly killed yet more innocents as he tried to resolve the problem in the wrong way. However, he eventually grew bored, and he yawned into his sheath-clawed Lynx-hand, and turned to his brother. "So brother Sun, these fools seek to undo what he have done, they stand in our path, and attempt to stop our righteous goal of preventing Lord Entropy his stagnation, and in so doing they have destroyed many more innocents, not that I'm complaining about the incompetence of our newfound foes. So, brother Sun, how do you propose we deal with this... problem?

Standing in a clearing, near some trees, the first thing the new god did was watch the sun and moon for a few days, waiting.

After a few days a cat came up to him.

    He had an idea.

He sat, waiting for the right moment, stroking the feline, soon the weather would allow him to cheat the normal rules.

The Dragonling come up to his full stature and frowned, struggling through his mental faculties to translate what the Fey had said, and manage out hism own reply. But, after several moments of pondering, he said. "It is, gift. Free. It speak to you, you to it." His primitive speech was almost charming, though in a cute way, not an intelligent one. He withdrew the necklace bearing hand to grab several other items from the bag: A staff, a sword, gauntlets, a tiara to accompany his necklace. "Here, you can choose. I give choice to smart Nature-thing." He bowed his head to it.

    "My beautiful sky...my clouds...my LIGHTNING!"

Yen waved the slight annoyance away. He had to find something to occupy his time...his followers were strong enough without him for the time being. And it was then he caught sight of the powerful dwarves, and smiled.

    "How...interesting! Who....there!"

And Yen once again popped out of his plane, appearing before the god known as Ataraxis, walking alongside him on the trail.

Rendirllyn held up a hand, laughing. "Stop! Stop! Don't mangle my people's tongue any more. I offer you knowledge of the language, freely given and without obligation. Will you accept it?"

"Hello my friend! Lets chat! Do you know where this trail leads?"

Yen threw an arm over the other god, beaming widely.
Ataraxis narrowed his eyes at the vaguely familiar "Grinning Lord". Sheepishly, he scratched the back of his head.

"Actually, it turns out that...I was curious to find out where this trail led. My dwarves seem quite sufficient on their own for the moment, so I thought I would come and investigate." Ataraxis leveled his gaze with Yen.

"More importantly, do these raging waves concern you at all? Personally, I am glad my dwarves have discovered a subterranean home. If all goes well, they will not need to use those unruly waters."

    Yen: The Path

    Yen nodded

"Yes they do..its very upsetting...but its nothing to worry about...not really anyway. But i've seen your...dwarves? They are very interesting, very smart. And very independent...they are unique in this world you know? But its more the weather -I- am worried about. Its so hard to keep ones things to themselves when your brothers are trying to move them around on you. But thats really not a problem either!

    But this trail...."

    Yen grins wider

"Leads to a very dangerous lady. Very smart and very clever if I do say so...she has many interesting stories to tell, and is at the very least a pleasure to be around. You have no idea how hard that is to find!"

Termar and Ramter, The Material plane.

Clouds, clouds might ruin his plan.

To properly be a god of fortunes he would need the mortals to think that such things existed. This animal was going to become his first little servants, a subtle attempt to sow belief and assumption that rules, nonexistent, governed things.

The night sky was also an interesting thing, he might use that later.

He looked for the highest mountain he might find and set to climb it, paying no heed to the eyes that might see him.

Ishtar looks down on the I'karrtana mountains and the dragons in there. strength in numbers. as such greater numbers greater strength, and i has a feeling that they would need it very soon. So he sings a warm true-song that encourages growth and birth, and then becomes clear and high and that quickly grows louder.
down in the mountain's the dragons where effected thus, for the next many years the dragons would lay almost twice as many eggs as normal, and they would also age much faster than before.
