Re: GtKaP Interview Thread 2: Tyndmyr
I'm a huge fan of monocromatic themes, so I wear a great deal of both white and black, often with an outfit almost entirely of one or the other. In actual colors, blue is a favorite, followed distantly by red.

Re: GtKaP Interview Thread 2: Tyndmyr
Once upon a time, I was a young little Tyndmyr, interested in all sorts of things. After watching certain movies, I decided that I was going to build a lightsaber. I checked down the list of necessary attributes in my mind(three foot glowing blade, cut through metal, etc, etc), not bothering my head with trivial details like how I would not die from it, and determined that I could make such a thing out of rocket engines.
I lugged my box of things that go BOOM, FOOM, and BLAM out of the basement, and begin testing bits to see what things were still good, and which had gone off. Being safety conscious, I did so outside. Not having anything fancy like a remote detonation system, I started testing detonators by holding them to a 9v battery. One after another, they ceased to explode in my fleshy little hands. In disgust, I shoved detonators and battery back into the pile. Suddenly, it worked. Turns out, a rocket engine can hit rather ridiculous temperatures in short order. As the pile went up, I realized a number of things. First, it really did look light a lightsaber. Secondly, my hand was in there. I realized this was bad, because I'm an intelligent scientist.
I think I managed to break the speed of sound getting indoors from the deck. The door was certainly shut before they had stopped igniting, and the deck hadn't even burned to the point of needing to be replaced yet. My mother, she heard it from the basement, though several closed doors. Upon coming up, and seeing me with my arm charred to my shoulder and a complete lack of body hair and most of my clothing asked me "Is it bad enough for the hospital?". I come from a long line of great intellects, apparently. Fortunately, it turns out that despite managing to get some nifty third degree burns, everything managed to grow back within the month. Like wolverine. Only without the claws. Or hair. Or adamantium. Or attitude. Or being a mutant. But otherwise, yeah, just like wolverine.
I got to know the ER folks pretty well, I did.

Oooh, lots of good questions awaiting me.
I direct you to my guide on rapid/dual caster progression cheese, culminating in the creation of Lil' Timmy, an abhorrent exercise in quad casting.
Also, I invariably keep Babybel mini cheese wheels in the fridge. I friggin love cheese.

Well, my hair is still brown. I think that pretty much covers it. Literally everything else has changed.
What are you most proud of?
What are you most ashamed of?
What is your greatest achievement?
I've also got some scale model robot warships with working guns under construction though, so this may change.
What is your greatest regret?
What do you consider the best and worst of all your senses (that is, what do you think is the best and worst smell, taste, etc)?
Best? Balance. Sure, it's not one of the traditional five, but it's in the 14 officially recognized. Years of mixed martial arts fighting'll do that.

Re: GtKaP Interview Thread 2: Savannah
I managed to totally forget about this!
Actually, I'm a grassy plain
And you're basing that on....? I am, mind you, but I didn't think you knew me enough to say that...
You know, I'm not sure. Let me get back to you on that.
Loyal, cuddly, smart (yes, I actually know what it means to have a smart pet and enjoy it), not aggressive, gets along with others of its kind so I can have more than one, minimal grooming required, healthy and active.
Why would you ask such an irrational question?
The entire Evil V arc, starting from when the dragon attacks and ending with familicide.
I read it once and remember nothing from it, so I don't know.
About the same. You guys don't tend to get to see my animal- or book-loving side, though.
You mean assuming I can't cheat, call in reinforcements, and save both? Probably the strangers...my most loved ones tend to understand the value of the greater good.
I've never thought about that. I'm not sure...
"Tho", "Thru", and other misspellings of actual words. Mind you, I don't know if they count, as they're not real words.
Dogs and dog training. Roleplaying games.
Mis-use of psychological terms in the media and by people who've learned all their psychology from the media.
Wind blowing through the trees. Rushing water.
Little kids screaming.
I've always thought foley artists for movies have a really cool job.
Child-care provider *shudders*
Blue, green, black/white/grey. Anything not pink
Currently, nothing. Used to collect insects.
Waaaaay too many to count. They're all of the same lady, mind you, just in different costumes and poses.
Nope. I don't even know what it is, really.
Milk. Second choice is white. Dark is evil.
Currently none
I have had two dogs (at different times), and seven rats (generally two at a time).
I'm planning on getting a dog in a few months

Re: GtKaP Interview Thread 2: Savannah
I read some of the old threads and was highly amused.
I don't, really, but I don't like it very much. And I find that a decent number of dark chocolate lovers kinda look down on milk chocolate lovers, as if their chocolate is more real chocolate than mine.
I can't remember. I found a link to OotS -- I think it was on another vaguely D&D webcomic, but I'm not sure. It took me a couple of months to notice that there were forums...
I'm moving to Texas because I'm starting graduate school there next month.
The weather. Particularly the "not hot" quality
Well, considering that my worst enemy is a highly annoying but not actually dangerous guy I once had the misfortune of playing D&D with and my worst nightmare involves feeling myself go crazy after being exposed to a drug that causes cannibalism and....other things I'm not supposed to talk about on here, I'm going to go with my worst enemy.
The ability to speak with animals.
What level of change is allowed? My default wish/single change/etc is eliminating deliberate cruelty from the human race, but I'm not sure that's the sort of thing you were going for.
Alignments are messy, prone to being misinterpreted, and generally stupid. Therefore I use them as little as possible and don't apply them to any sort of real-life situation.
See above.

Re: GtKaP Interview Thread 2: Savannah
Nope. I don't really get crushes.
I can always figure out what I need to do to handle any problems I face. (Even if "what to do" is "ask [person x]" )
Roses.
Um...Nothing in particular. On a certain level, I don't even understand the question -- I know what sorts of things most people will answer, but I have no answer. There's no reason for me not to keep going, so I just kinda do.
A little bit of good genes, a lot of good experience, and even more hard work.
Nowhere particularly exciting, nor particularly dull. As for what I'd like to have known...sadly, that's not far enough back to tell my old self not to adopt the dog that drove me crazy for years. Probably a lot of little things about getting into my current hobbies earlier, so I could have more fun
Someone genetically compatible with me who has excellent survival skills and similar interests. Note: this is the only situation where I'd take back my desire not to have babies.
Any ancient celt who could explain why the bog bodies were, well, put in the bogs. Seriously, there's at least three major theories, and bodies that fit some and don't fit others...
By my friends/family? For being a good person. By the world as a whole? I don't care if I'm remembered or not.
I don't like lolcats. I can, however, provide a funny and adorable animal photo. Because dumbo rats are automatically funny and adorable
The ability to create an extra-dimensional space which contains exactly what I need. Obviously, it would contain Godzilla-Be-Gone(tm) spray. Kinda like bug spray, but for bigger and scalier things.
Ick, not a fan of either. However, beards can work on some guys, and babies are always a pain, so I'd have to go with beards.
Not as far as I know.
