After saying that, Zero walks closer to the scroll in an attempt to examine it better.

Ermine chuckles.

"O' course. Speakin' o' excitement, we still 'ave ta "pay back" dat tub shop. We could do it later."

Robbery is exciting.

"Oh yeah... we should do that later today. We do need a... 'refund' after that rum bath fiasco."

I dunno. Reinholdt rather liked how it all went, even the bath part.

The mystical energy will attempt to zap Zero with painful amounts of electricity as he draws near the seemingly blank scroll!

"No! We only think we need things to do things! We don't need anything! Don't hurt me!"

Zero may surmise that this Wolf-Valaira is directly linked to the energy field protecting that scroll. If Zero wants to pick up the scroll, he may need to eliminate her...

Ermine grins. Of course, it did go rather excellently. That doesn't mean they can't or shouldn't rob the place, though!

"Aye. That'll be fun."

I suppose they can finish the meal now, or we can just handwave the smalltalk. Because smalltalk, even with pirates, is boring. <.<

Course... the date's still lacking in romantic kissing. And various other things that's supposed to comprise a romantic date. That doesn't include robbing a store.

Chez lights a new Cigar and Begins Smoking. Not much he can do here.

"Why were you exploring this particular jungle?" Kale asks, watching her for any signs of lying. Whiiich he's not very good at picking up. Kale is a terrible judge of character.

[Hattish Thing]

Fiddlestick, crush tree, onion snpwball, cueball, MUSHROOM! screams Marty drowning out the orcs answer.

"Could ya repeat that real quick?" Kale says, rolling his eyes at Marty's outburst. He's not so sure that it's really the poison's work, seeing as Marty's already been given an antidote, so much as it is Marty just being annoying.

Hush Marty darling. Sleet says. I'll have you fixed in just a moment. She gets up, with an almost satisfied look on her face. Is there a cure for him? She asks the orc without looking her way. Sleet's hand rests on her greatsword again.

[Hattish Thing]

um, he has had the antidote. I think hes having a breakdown. I wonder why? wonders the orc.Harmonic housfly TOOTHPICK! shouts Marty

"'right, now yer just dodging the question." Scowling, Kale snaps his fingers right next to the orc's eyes, an alarming if mostly harmless gesture. "I'm askin you fer answers, an I'd say I've been pretty nice 'bout it so far. If you don't start actually start supplying those answers, that might haveta change." Beads of sweat are beginning to roll down his forehead, more than usual even in the sweltering desert heat. Looks like the poisons setting in.

[Hattish Thing]

The poison is not legal, only mind numbing, I was a scientist, there will be no at t- OCRHESTRATIC OCTAGONS! the orc is interrupted by Marty

The orc gets a glare from Kale. Between her avoiding the questions and Marty's constant interruptions, his patience is worn thin indeed. "Sleet, I'm thinking mebbe you can get more answers. I'll deal with Marty." With that he gets up and heads over to Marty, aiming to tear a piece of fabric from the bartender's shirt and use it to gag him. That oughta shut him up.

[Hattish Thing]

The attempt temporarily snaps him bacck to normal. Shada. mutters Marty, before trying to grapple Kale back.what did you do to her? You evil man!

[Jungle]

I don't need or want answers from an orc. Hisses Sleet. She swings her greatsword in a rather sudden attempt to behead the orcess.

[Hattish Thing]

she falls to the ground, dead. "]Marty seems bent on trying to choke Kale to death. WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER?

Wow. Kale wasn't expecting Sleet to be so... brutal. He's caught completely by surprise, enough to distract him from Marty and allow the barkeeper an opportunity to grab him. "Ack! Hey, get the **** offa me!" He shouts, trying to slam his elbow into Marty's gut.

[Hattish Thing]

Marty seems to suddenly have an inhuman strengh as he chokes tears running down his face. No! HOW COULD YOU? y only love! you were jealous weren't you brother? You killed her, my Shada? NOW YOU WILL DIE ANTONY!

[Jungle] - a little insight into Sleet.

Sleet is still seeing red. Orcs. She remembered her experiences with them as a child and she knew she had done the right thing.

Then the sounds of the erupting fight came from behind her and she sighed. the red faded, replaced by her usual inner logic. The very fact that Kale had taken the orcess as a prisoner instead of killing her told Sleet that he wouldn't attack Shada. She needed him to do so if she so desired.

But what to do? How to wrap him around her fingers again. For a while there she could have asked him to do possibly anything but now she wondered. What to do? Marty would side with Shada. Chez... well, Chez was a loose cannon and Sleet believed she could possibly bribe him. But Kale was strong. She needed him to obey her when the fight with Shada inevitably came. So what to do?

Sleet wipes the orcess' blood off her face and sheathes her sword. She doesn't make any othe rmove though, as she's completely lost in thought.

[Hattish Thing]

ANTONY YOU WILL DIE! Brother you betrayed me and killed her, Griktak come, bring the knife. No one is there besides Marty grappling Kale.

Whatever Kale's reply to the insane ramblings would be, it's cut off as the fingers close around his neck, replaced by choked spluttering. And anger. Whoo boy, anger. Kale's been holding in a desire to beat the ever-loving **** outta someone ever since the bar and although he'd really go with kicking anyone's rear right now, Marty is right at the top of his list.

Not even thinking about holding back, he grabs at Marty's hair, trying to pull him into a vicious headbutt that could knock a normal man right out. At the same time he tries to smash a knee into Marty's groin, knowing that even a crazed loony will feel that.

[Hattish Thing]

He does indeed tears fall and he rages on ANTONY! YOU, SLIME! The only thing I loved in the world! Antony

Stop it. Sleet is far too quiet to hear. She can't even think but for all the noise. Stop it! A little louder, but probably still too quiet to hear over Marty. Sleet cannot make up her mind on what to do, and for a moment the idea of killing Marty presents itself. it's appealing but... but, no, then she may never reach Shada. Besides, talk about blowing your cover.

[Hattish Thing]

No! I will kill you here and now Antony. Demons seem to be eating at Marty. he takes out a knife.

Jungle

Taking advantage of Marty's temporary weakness, Kale grabs at the hands around his throat, trying to pull them away and free himself. His eyes dart over to where his pickaxe sits, just within reach, growing ever more tempting as the breath in his lungs grows ever more scarce.

((EDIT: You do not get to post twice before anyone else can in a fight scene. Sorry, but that's just unfair. Also, Marty can hardly draw a knife while strangling Kale at the same time.))

[Hattish Thing]

Marty still tries to choke Kale having had to drop the knifeWhen I'm done killing you brother Griktak will incinerate you. Goodbye.

Sleet whips around, quickly. She will attempt to grab Marty about the throat and shove him back against the tree and knock the knife from his hand. Come on Marty, snap out of it. Shada's still alive, darling!
