"I'll find you later then." Ilpholin tells Nephrim before turning back to Megan Zero.

"Yes, there will be some changes. I will be holding some meetings tomorrow, but if you have some time sensitive experiments, we can go over them now." Ilpholin says, stepping over to follow Megan if she'd like to get them taken care of sooner rather than later.

Main Room -> BioLab
"We have just one time sensitive experiment right now and I'd rather get your DNA and retina information into the security system in there now than later."
She'll move into the BioLab now, revealing many computers and science equipment.
She'll grab a tablet.
"If you simply open your eye to the tablet and press it close we'll get that retina data if that's okay."

[Reinholdt]

Ilpholin frowns. A trap, probably. They'd be crazy to do it now, but AMEN doesn't lack in crazies.

Ah well, let them try.
Ilpholin puts her eye close to the tablet for retinal scanning.

"Talk to the Mistress," Becky drawls, while creating a shadow portal...straight to the kitchen.

The tablet immediately scans her eye, taking it into the database.
"Alright, that should do it for that. Now, how would you like your DNA sample? Blood, tissue, or urine?"

Main Room

HazMag puts the finishing touches on his tidying up of the base. Some of the lava dried up and turned into lame ol' obsidian deposits and such, but given that obsidian isn't very dangerous on its own, the Mystery Meat squad leader doesn't even pretend to care about that. AMEN has minions for that sort of thing, and the last thing he's going to be caught doing is minion work.

Once he find it satisfactorily safe, he pulls off his helmet, pressing a finger against his ear.

"Yeah, Magtok? Me again. The main room ain't pretty, but it should be just about habitable again. Furniture and interior deco is someone else's job. Can I go now?"

His answer comes in the form of a massive chocolate cake, oddly enough. It telewarps right into his arms, along with orders to find the AMEN celebratory party and drop it off there. I have no idea how he's supposed to see where he's going with that thing in front of him, though.

"Crap. Umm...anyone know where the party is? I apparently have a cake to deliver to it."

"Alright, that should do it for that. Now, how would you like your DNA sample? Blood, tissue, or urine?"

Now Ilpholin scowls.

"My recommendation would be to make the retinal scan enough."

All of those things seemed rather intrusive!

Moffs begin pouring out of the shadow portal in the kitchen, and immediately relieve HazMag of the cake, dragging a table out of a portal to place it on. More party supplies start appearing: big buckets full of ice and beer, giant bowls of potato chips, crepe paper hangings, and, improbably, a brand new big screen surround sound television already replaying the Glory Fields battle with orchestral rock music set to it.

And there are party hats. Party hats for all!

Megan sighed.
"Fine. But next time you come in here you'll likely fall to the ground, unable to walk. We're uping security around here to prevent people from stealing things. Anyone without their DNA in the system will be in for a very bad day."

Srs!Moff glares at Meghan. "No, that will not be happening, because you will not be putting in any such security systems. You want that sort of security, go build your own lab somewhere that's not here."

"Ok ok. Let's calm down a little." Ilpholin says.

"Firstly... Moff's right. That sort of security and secrecy has already proven to be one of the reasons why AMEN has bickered amongst itself for so long, if past labs have been any indication. We want to move away from the infighting, so such measures are not going to be allowed at AMEN anymore."

"Secondly, I can understand your concern about theft all the same. Though I don't quite understand why someone concerned with that would be at AMEN. Rather than blocking access to all but a select elite few, why don't we go over what security measures you already have in place and see what I can personally do to ensure the lab's safety?"

"Lastly, why are you choosing to up security now?"

[Mindfreak]

"I'm choosing to increase it now because of the recent fight for AMEN leadership. Some people might take advantage of any possible instability that might arise from this."
She sighed.
"So far I've only had a DNA and retina scanner set up. And all these panther bots you keep seeing and a couple cameras."
"Plus, while we're on the topic of security I'd like to offer my help to increase any defenses here at AMEN."
A panther robot begins sneaking up on Moff.
Sneak.
Sneak.
Sneeeeeeeeeeeak.

I believe Greg is still here with some burn damage.

MagFirmaryBots are telewarped in, with a burn cart, and start doing... burn treatment stuff. Yeah. Let's pretend I know what that is, besides horribly painful. Maybe the Magbots have high-tech ways of making it heal faster, so the screaming only lasts a day or two instead of for months.

You know, AMEN really needs to get some actual medical personnel.

Party!Moffs are partying. Where are the rest of the AMEN members? THERE IS A PARTY GOING ON PEOPLE!!!!

"My dear, if I may be frank, the instability has come and gone. It's missed its chance."
There was a whole month or so that her lab could have been robbed and wasn't!
Also an hour.

"Cameras, retina scans, and guards should be more than plenty. Just add the retinal scanner to the front door/portal, allowing for a guest option that puts robo-kitties on higher alert. If somehow something does get stolen, a log of who was in here at what time shall be more than sufficient to narrow down who to torture." They do seem to have plenty of security already, without the need for DNA profiling or upping security above all those things.

"That said, I do believe we could use some of those panther bots in the Main Base. How many do you have functional and can you make more?"

[Mindfreak]

"That's a rather good idea, actually. Then I'd be able to add an actual doorway to the portal."
And then she asked about panther bots!
"Well, I currently have 8 active but I have 2 more in a deactivated state in storage. And I can of course make more, it would just take a while. I could get about 2 done in a week, but if you give me some time I could try to make a more automated process to get them done faster. Or I could of course make some short-lasting clones of myself but that'd take more power then I can currently crank out of my fission generator."

The Robo-panther tries to pounce on Moff! It tries to pin him to the ground and spray a foam on him that should stick him to the floor like a fly in a fly trap.
"DETAINING UNKNOWN INTRUDER."

Srs!Moff is pinned, but gets a hand up to the panther's throat as the spray starts. "Get. It. Off." Moff snarls.

Ilpholin raises an eyebrow.
"Better call it off. But thank you for the demonstration."
There might be an indication that she's tensed up slightly, clearly ready to bodily tackle the panther off if need be to keep Moff safe.

"For now, the two in storage will do until you have a chance to put together a more automated system to build and replace them."

"But I do believe you had a time-sensitive experiment you wished to discuss?" Those are probably important to discuss in a timely fashion!

"Yeah...Moff, you better stop struggling. The more you struggle the more foam it'll spray and that stuff will stick you to the floor like a fly in a fly trap."
She walked closer to the panther-bot.
"RP-008, opening security programming file. Pass: 976887(78966)7802zl."
"RP-008, Subject: Moff: Cleared."
The panther bot will back off of Moff, expelling the solvent for the foam to remove any that got on Moff and the floor and then back off.
"As for the time sensitive project, I'll show you our successful prototype. We just want to make it much bigger."
She took out her laptop and quickly started typing.
"If you look towards the screen..." she said as she pointed towards the large monitor on the wall that blinked to life, showing a horrific monster that look incredibly dangerous. It was completely covered with metal plating except for its wings and had a Gatling gun along with a sword.
It was also big enough to carry three people without breaking a sweat.
"This is the prototype for the Fallen Angel project. We took a really dangerous monster and I developed a neural interface for it. We put it in its brain and now we control every movement. It even has a fail safe for in case we lose connection with it. Its brain will be automatically fried."

Srs!Moff gets up off the floor and glaaaaares at Meghan, but does not comment on the horrific winged monster who needs a little further description as no shape was actually stated. Is it a giant fly? A winged rhinoceros? All the hairballs coughed up in the Nexus in the last month, caught and animated?

"I see." Ilpholin says.

Oh failsafes. Do you ever work?
Hopefully we won't ever have to find out.

"This is a creature you took and modified, yes? What do you mean by make it bigger?"

"Well you see...this is a unmatured version, which is smaller than it should be at that. We want to make a fully matured one."
This one should. Unless something affects the device's ability to turn the monster's brain to soup.

GAH! You said unless! That's like saying it's too quiet! D=

"Yes. Define make. Also, how exactly do you control the beast?" Ilpholin says, looking around for the device that does it.

Luckily, the burns weren't that severe. So for the sake of me actually doing stuff with this character, Greg is quickly patched up enough to be able to head into the Main Room and watch the party.

Megan gestured to a control station over in the left corner. It had a helmet, gloves, and boots over by it.
"By that over there. You simply slip on the gear and you're in control of the beast. The clothing sends signals to the computer that then sends signals to the interface I installed in the creature's brain which causes the beast to move. It used to be done on my laptop but I figured I might as well use all of this lab space I have."
She looked up.
"You're more than welcome to try out the prototype. I have it currently stationed in Karyana's dimension."

"Still haven't answered my question. How do you make these creatures?"

Ilpholin says, stepping over to the control station and looking it over. She almost considers trying it out, but changes her mind.
"You know what? I'll take your word for it. So you know Karyana then?"

There's a horde of Moffs here as far as I am aware! Not many other PCs though. Hmm. Let's all work together to help fix that dilemma!

The Hatter arrives here with a lampshade on his head. He has a bright red Virtual Boy strapped to his face and is stumbling into walls and colliding with all manner of obstacles. But he's not losing this bet! He'll beat this game or die trying!

The Hatteress is here too. She is distant from the festivities, kinda just watching tv like today was nothing more than an ordinary day of regular low celebration quotas, where rejoice is nothing more or less than not burning lunch or dinner.

I am of the persuasion that she needs to lead a more exciting life and wear less leather. I mean leather knee-high boots, a leather jacket, and leather gloves is undeniably a little excessive.

Clarissa is also here! In her true form too. When did she adopt that transformation? In a scene with Dave that has yet to be written up onscreen no doubt. She isn't feeling very confident about herself in this form. Her getup clearly expresses this defensive emotion. She is wearing a heavy, black, all-concealing robe and hood set, veiling her form underneath a myriad of shadows. Her eyes are her only visible trait, though clues to her recent acquisition of nine tails are more than given. Normal body parts aren't that bulky and don't rhythmically sway like miniature metronomes all the time!

She's heading over to grab herself a beer. Because beer contains a measurable amount of alcohol and she is impelled and drawn to drinking to overcome her overwhelming nervousness!

With the cake out of the way, HazMag opens up a portal and gets the hell right out of this place. He's heard what AMENites do to MagClones, and while technically he's not a Magtok, he doubts these people care very much for technicalities anyway.

Speaking of MagClones, an actual, genuine, not-a-cheap-knockoff Magtok shows up for the party! He gets a slice of cake lickety-split, since he's sure someone's bound to poison it or try to swallow the whole thing in one bite or something else equally terrible if he doesn't make his move now. There's a bit of a smirk on his face, which either of the Hat-folk or maybe Clarissa might notice. He's pretty sure those three were amongst Gordon's supporters, and isn't above a little snobby implied gloating, apparently.
