Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
$1,250,166.00 / $106,799.87 ≈ 11.7056
Is how Rich got the number, I reckon.
In actuality, it should be:
$106.799.87 / $1,250,166 ≈ .08543 ≈ 8.543%
Which is better than he was planning for.
ETA::: As I scan the comment thread of the update, this has already been brought to Rich's attention. And Rich has already acknowledged his little math boo boo.Last edited by Porthos; 2012-03-02 at 03:37 AM.

Hmmm... I'd be shocked about the small number of bounces... except for one little fact...

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
Its nice that Rich is rolling right along with the work. I am not surprised however that it will still take awhile for the money to hit his bank account as the government put a hold on anything that over 10k.

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
Just saw update #30, and I feel I must express my EXTREME DISPLEASURE with the Workometer.
...oh, no, not at all about the level of progress - that is going along just fine...
No, the problem is that for 28 updates, the OOTS characters were deeply involved in the progress graphs. And now, they are MISSING!
Please, they deserve to be part of the Workometer updates, too!

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
I'd say it is time for Team Evil to have a moment on the KS updates, or at least the demon roaches. It is just amazing how well this drive did in dollars raised, backers, and now successfull payments. I would be interested if Kickstarter keeps records of that, and if so is this another record that OotS can claim.
I will probably not receive my survey until next week by which time I may not have internet access. Not too worried though. Each time I upgraded the pledge I messaged Rich through KS and got confirmation. At the most recent upgrade we were still a few hours away from breaking the line for the patch and Rich went ahead and confirmed that my order would have it as there was not much doubt by then. Of course that was still days before we broke KickStarter. I still think that is one of the coolest things about the drive."One useless man is called a disgrace, two are called a law firm and three or more become a congress."

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
I second the demand for team evil in the workometer.
Maybe Rich could make a column in the workometer called "Integrating Team Evil in the Workometer". That would be cool
Seriously, I think there is enough work to be done and Rich is doing great!Avatar by the great Lord Herman. Many, many thanks!

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
Do you know that there's a thing called "buyer's remorse"?
I have the exact opposite:
Although I don't need anything besides my (signed, woo!) copy of WaXP, I'm kicking myself for not buying a little bit more....adding an extra patch, another magnet, an art print....or donating a few more dollars extra to Rich, just because he deserves it.
So, I've now lived through mirth (all the fun of updates and comments), elation (over how well "we" did), sorrow (seeing the drive end), withdrawal ("F5, F5, F5...why doesn't those numbers go up!?") and now remorse
I guess there's just acceptance left: thanks for all the laughs guys and well done Rich, as I said, you deserve it

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
I think you may be one of the few who have that condition. I don't know as many of us have buyer's remorse...but I know that I started out with the game/xpac/mini and then added on a book, an art print and a patch. But I'm not having buyers remorse because adding the rest makes me happy...I must admit that I'm not sure what I will do with the patch...but had to have one because I PARTICIPATED!!

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
I have a problem with responding to the Kickstarter survey. The problem is that I'm moving at the end of March, and I don't have a new address secured yet. If I put my current address down as a placeholder, will I be able to change it before the rewards ship out? Or should I delay filling out the survey until I have a new address in place? Or perhaps try to contact the Giant with my situation? Any advice would be appreciated.

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
I wouldn't suggest delaying, if your survey isn't in when they make the order you get put to the back of the queue.
Does your country's postal service have a redirect service? You may have to pay to use it, but I'd suggest it was a good idea just in general when moving.Piratebold-Bard by Elder Tsofu | Backer #121 of the Giantitp Kickstarter | My homebrew

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
Quote from Rich over on the Kickstarter comments thread:
Please don't anyone put a note saying that their address *might* change at some future point. I won't have the time to track down and ask everyone whether it did or not. Simply email me when it *does* change.
End of quote
So I would say put your current address and then when you get a new one email it to Rich.

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
Okay, so I'm using best friend's address. Should I put my name or his in the survey? Or should I put both, and a c/o (or the German equivalent p. Adr. (= "per address")) in front of his name?

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
Yeah, my thoughts about it went something like this: Huh, if I put my name, his postman will be confused because I don't live there. But if I put his name, it doesn't match with my credit card info and the mail address matched to my Kickstarter accounts. If only I could put both names… oh waaait a second, that's exactly what c/o is for. Yay! \o/

Re: The Post-Kickstarter Discussion Thread: Bask in the Afterglow
I know it wouldn't have made much sense but I think its unfortunate that there was that big old line graph for all that time and the linear guild was nowhere to be found.
I like being asked difficult and interesting questions, even though sometimes the only answer is "I wish I knew".

I agree with Jay. I would prefer Rich finishing the stories rather than adding characters to the workometer.

Kickstarter survey?
I have not yet recieved my shipping survey for my (unsigned) book package. According to the Kickstarter page, those were sent out 3 days ago. Has everyone gotten theirs yet?

Did you check your spam folder?

Re: Kickstarter survey?
If you go to the Kickstarter Drive Page, you should see the following (in very small print) at the bottom of your pledge level:
Survey sent: XX/XX/XX
With the appropiate date substituted for XX/XX/XX.
If you don't see that, then you haven't received a survey. If you do, I believe you can answer it by clicking the link next to it.Last edited by Porthos; 2012-03-04 at 08:28 PM.

Re: Kickstarter survey?
No, it's on the OOTS Kickstarter page. But you won't be able to see it if you're not logged in.
Might try to delete the cookies assigned for kickstarter if you can't log in and then try again. Otherwise perhaps contact Kickstarter to see if they can fix your login problem?Last edited by Porthos; 2012-03-04 at 09:50 PM.
