All good points. Just some further things to consider.
1. If Discord could have just killed everypony and didn't, regardless of the reason, that's an indication that he's not interested in simply winning, but rather that he enjoys playing the game itself. That could be sadism, but it could also just be insanity and craziness.
2. Discord violating his own rules is chaotic, not evil. He may violate them in an evil manner, but breaking rules is a chaotic action.
3. I agree with people saying that Discord was focused on Twilight more than her friends. His triumph is getting all her friends to leave her, thus removing the element of magic, which was the one thing he didn't know how to deal with (and therefore the one thing that interested him).

I'm still split on assigning chaotic neutral vs. chaotic evil D&D alignment to him. Yeah he does a bunch of evil stuff, so chaotic evil certainly fits, but he's also heavily focused on the chaos aspect and ultimately gives the heroes a chance to win, even handing them the elements when he had the power to magically move them, so in the end he's not being that evil, he's just being insane.

Put me in the "Discord is chaotic evil" camp. His total lack of regard for other living things beyond their ability to amuse him plans him deeply in the "unstable sociopath" category.

Well, I wish her the best of luck. Why exactly did the fundraiser get pulled down? Is there any chance of bringing it back?

Also, I watched her trailer, and my reaction to finding out she'd had a brain tumor as a kid was "yeah, that makes sense." I think this is one of those "Dead Zone" kind of things where she got some sort of weird children's-cartoon-writing superpower from the thing.

So, just playing through ME3 and found the asari voiced by rainbow dash.

It all makes so much sense now, the mass effect fields allowing her to exceed normal acceleration and speed limits as well as explaining the vast majority of the magic (which is usually telekinesis) done by unicorns.

Not to mention it fitting in with other theories about Rainbow Dash.

I would have expected this to be more talked about, or am I just that late to the party?

I just realized that anti-virus programs are the Twilight Sparkle of the computer world. The generally handle stuff pretty well without much complaint. Then something happens and they freak out over nothing or think they're somehow a virus. Plus their whole world fits into schedules.

Sure do! Even if it's just silly speculation on the alignment of a draconique dracononononomomon rawrimadragon fictional villain of ponies, it's still fun speculation. I myself think he's firmly chaotic evil. Regardless of his personal focus on chaos, his actions land him on the evil end of the alignment scale. To take from a personal example: Yes, you can be focusing on the greater good and saving the world, but at the end of the day, you still flooded and exploded a city. Sorry, but turn in your "Good" alignment card.
