Reminded (accidentally) by Twilight that she is unlikely to live long enough for spike to reach the legal age of dragon-consent, Rarity seeks out a way to prolong her life. She finds her answers in a ruined Castle in the everfree forest and a lonely but sophisticated pony aristocrat. He gives her the gift of eternal life at the small cost of needing blood to survive and never seeing the Sun rise again.
Things become complicated when the townsfolk of Ponyville find out who has been breaking into their rooms at night and what exactly Rarity has done.
But will Spike be able to forgive her for trading her immortal soul away and becoming an undead creature of the night?
