Howdy ya'll. I've been watching this game play out and growing ever-more excited with how my character idea might interact with yours. Gotta say, you guys have really done a great job at making your characters unique, fun, and diverse.
Hope you like what I bring to the table. ;)
Character sheet link will be hitting my signature sometime today. For now: Dak!
Hi Great Dane, welcome to the party! I'll hold you to that promise of no cheering enemy crits, and while we're at it no cheering player-against-player crits either.
By the way Celtic, if we're going to get to take that extended rest let me know so I can pre-roll my 3 d20s per my Dice of Auspicious Fortune. I forgot to do that for today (in-game).
Yep, extended rest coming your way, I was hoping Evalie was going to make a post before I made my "nighty-night" post, but that's fine. I assume she takes whatever healing surges to get back up to full, and then goes to bed. Don't want to keep you guys waiting for too long!
No prob. Weddings do take up a lot of time! I am about to make an IC post, horngeek, and it will be a long one, so if you would like to make an IC post after that or something, before you have to escape to the wedding
Oh!, and something really cool that I would like you guys to do that one of my DM's does for items: I want you all to make a Wishlist of items that you want. You can have a couple of things on there, or what I Would really love is that if you made wishlist of something from every slot. Keep the stuff mostly in your range, but if you would like to put some stuff that is higher level stuff or later, that would be fine as well.
After you make it, edit it into your first post in the OOC, so I can better reference it!
Basically, I just want to upgrade my existing items to their next level.
Rod of Brutality +2 >> Rod of Brutality +3
Shadow Warlock Leather +2 >> Shadow Warlock Leather +3
...
The easiest way to accomplish this is for me to turn on Inherent Bonuses. It takes care of the math side of the items. You wouldn't even have to award Infernion anything but gold.

There aren't any wonderous items you want, hand, feet, head, etc. items you want as well? Problem is inherent bonuses is that you won't be getting all the upgrades to things at once. So go ahead and make a list for me
Also, rare items aren't off the table for this list, just fyi to you all.

Those were just examples. I dont understand what you mean about not getting the upgrades all at once. Unless you are giving us full suits of items at the same time that wont happen with items either.
I use the inherent bonus solution in my games so that I don't have to worry about keeping the +x bonus on my player's items up. I can give them whatever I want and find flavorful and it does not affect the math of the game.
I will make a short list but feel free to hand out whatever you want.
BTW I'm waiting to post until others wake up and notice Dak...would seem out of place for him to be like YO HERES FOOD.
I'll also pull together a wishlist this weekend. It will probably include ritual books containing rituals too, in case you want to mix up loot a little ;)

I like it. Things like this as well, put on your list. Give me a chance to be able to put small stuff here and there for you guys!!

I mean, the inherent bonuses don't effect just your attack or just your defense, they effect all your bonuses, so if you use the inherent bonuses, the bonuses would "upgrade" everything. I just, personally, don't like using the inherent bonuses in games with magic. I think items, esp getting items, is a lot more fun than using the bonuses.
Also, if I know what you guys want, it makes it easier, and more fun, for you guys to get the things you want, and makes it easier for me to not have to waste game time for you guys going to merchants and "trading in" stuff. This way, you guys can find stuff you want up front!!
Discalimer: We are talking hypothetically here. I know that we are not using Inherrant Bonuses (IB) for this game.
The thing is that the IB does not replace magic items. The two do not stack, you just take the better bonus.
Also, Defenses and Attacks are not boosted at the same levels. for example. You get a +1 to attacks at 2nd level but the +1 to defenses does not come until 4th.
Its just another way to even out the math.

I am going to drop this topic now. Expect a wishlist in the days to come.
For Mai, Thunderwave Staff and Genasi Soul Armor are must haves, so she'd just need those to be empowered at their regular intervals (+4/5/6). I'll let you know about the other slots when I have a chance to look through some items.
Oh and before I make my next IC post, here's her Dice of Auspicious Fortune for the day.
So I'm going to explain in my posts exactly what powers and abilities an Artificer has. It's mostly for my own benefit, you see, because I've never played one :)
I've also realized I need to completely fill out my sheet with backstory, etc. I'll get it done on a boring Saturday.
I still have Augment Energy to grant and know who's getting it.
Finally, we could roleplay that the group was so exhausted from fighting that they didn't think to search the bodies...so Dak did it instead for them, gathering whatever loot they had in a neat pile by the fire.

That is perfect. Also, please remind us of bonuses and such Dak throws out.
I am imagining Dak with a deep russian type accent, accurate?
Giving the items some thought, I'm just like the others in that my neck, weapon, hands, feet, and waist items are all set and could simply use upgraded versions when applicable, or substitute gold or residuum as desired.
Item Wishlist:
+3 Drowmesh Greater Armor of Eyes
L14 Helm of Able Defense
Ring of Feather Fall
Ring of Aquatic Ability
I feel like wondrous items are cool enough in their own right that whatever you feel like granting will be used by the party in some way.
Ugh, there are way too many rituals to count. I'll just take whatever as loot. :P
I think I've said this once already, but I love the characters in this story. Infernion and Lucius get special mention for how they're roleplayed (that, and Raus is an awesome pbp-er in many games with me!) as well as Mai. But really, you all rock. Celtic seems like a great DM so far too! Looking forward to this game progressing
Awesome, thanks for the wishlists everyone, I was waiting for everyone to get a post in talking to the new guy, so I will give it till in the morning and then move the party along.
All those that haven't given me a wishlist, when you get it done, just post it in your first post in the OOC. Dane, if you could just put it in a place on your sheet I can see. I guess all you guys can too if you would like, but you don't have to.
Just in case Horngeek (Evalie?) doesn't get a chance to post, I was going to enchant Evalie's bow with my Augment Energy class benefit:
Spoiler
You infuse a weapon or an implement with a reservoir of energy that lasts until the end of your next extended rest or until it is expended. The wielder of the implement or the weapon can use a free action after making an attack roll to expend the reservoir of energy to gain a +2 bonus to that attack roll. An implement or a weapon can be augmented only once per day in this way.
At a new milestone, I gain the ability to re-use this on a different ally's weapon, or I can choose to recharge a daily item's use via Impart Energy:
Spoiler
You recharge the daily power of a magic item. An item can be recharged only once per day in this way.
Think I'll edit the use of Augment Energy into my last post in case Horngeek doesn't post.
