Somehow I don't think Lixie will mind. She doesn't seem the type to get upset about that sort of thing.

Rarity enters a beauty contest and needing that little extra oomph decides to wear her Element.

Using the Elements in a particular way is necessary to turn a regular pony into an alicorn.

Somepony is very sick/injured. Using the Elements can cure them and rejuvenate their wounds.

That one had occurred to me too. In my sketchy fic-that-I-will-realistically-never-write, the first sign that something's wrong is an injured pony showing up at Twilight's doorstep; suffering from a particularly nasty malign cursed wound that requires the Elements - and a rapidly summoned Celestia - to break before he dies. (In that instance, Celestia is essentially using the Elements as a power-source whle she bullies her way through the curse brute force style (there's no time to try a more practised approach) - but doing so basically unlocks the Element's avatar's next level of powers. Also, Twilight, being Twilight, would accidentally figure out the fundemental structure of the curse, allowing Princess C to break it much more easily and effectively creating a curse-counter right there and then.)

Celestia and Luna begin inexorably to disappear from the public eye, their appearances rare and short. Twilight Sparkle is worried and goes to Canterlot, but for the first time is denied admittance to the princesses. She sneaks in at night only to find that their hair has returned to a single color (pink and blue), and they are...Smaller than she remembers (Cadence's size). It turns out that Celestia and Luna have normal forms and power forms, which allow them to perform their duties more easily. Normally the simply act of raising and lowering the sun and moon would take all of their energy, leaving no time to rule. The spells that charge their forms are wearing off faster and faster, so Twilight offers to give them a jump start using the Elements of Harmony!

I think I'm going to go cry now, with how I didn't think of that one. By my research into the subject (can't stand not knowing things about the stuff I'm currently interested in) marble is popular for patio tables too. That way it is actually connected to it's second thing opposed to buying a set of quills and a sofa.

Also, going to say it again: Darn you ponythread! Giving too many good names...

Also, you may wish to consider chaotic energy as a fuel source. I've been making some wonderful advances in converting Discordant energy into a storable, semi-stable state.

Well that's just really weird. It's been 11 years since Luna Returned in my universe. Though that's not the weird part. The weird part is that we use a different calendar then you. For us it's year 3142.

Also, you may wish to consider chaotic energy as a fuel source. I've been making some wonderful advances in converting Discordant energy into a storable, semi-stable state.

Discord was rather compliant with some "persuasion" from Princess Celestia, so he's ben somewhat helpful. However, until you can find a way to control discordant energy, I will have to decline.

Huh, we must be on the same page. You know, Silent worked on a project that would replace Equestria's need for steam for that of a reusable resource easly gained from most living creatures: boiling blood. Now, it sounds crazy until you put so many healing enchantments on a little critter and then hook them up to the right tubes and, huzzah, you get a nice amount of steam-substitute without the cost of needing purified water. We never got it athorised, but according to our numbers it would have taken fifteen adult cattle per month to power a equestrian airship, less if it was not in regular combat.


Pity we never could test it out. I mean, do cattle even have rights here?

My favorite part was the Derpy-centered episode, & how they answered all of our questions regarding her. I can't beleive Tabitha re-did Derpy's voice! Showing that she was the town's mailmare as well as Dinky's (was it mother or big sister?) was a nice touch.

That episode with Fausticorn was amazing as well.

I thought the fact that a whole kingdom of Alicorns was a cop-out, honestly.

The deer where jerks, and they should not have been helped by the ponies.

The episode where they broke open Tartaurus and unleashed a bunch of G1 enemies was amazing. Neil Patrick Harris was a great Tirek, and the scene where Steven Magnent pulled a "you should not pass" on the forces of heck was funny.

The trip to Iram was great, I could see it returning in another episode.

The idea of Bullfighting being a sort of masked-fighting thing to improve cow-pony relations was amazing.

I'll be honest with ye, the part where Pinkie conquered the X Dimension with parties and songs was one of the best parts o' the whole series.

Oh, and I loved the episode where Applejack single-hoofedly defeated the seaponies when the rest of the mane six were on vacation. Great fun that was.

It's possible to make a colt's face without giving away the gender. The muzzle size needn't change, just square it a little bit. So you could indeed, have a face wrap without giving it away. I think front on would be best though.

In the ponies world everything has to be done manually. The Princesses raise the Sun and the Moon. Pegasi create the weather etc.

With everything reliant on Ponies/Other creatures acting individually and not being a psychic hivemind small errors and minor cross purpose acts could potentially build up over time cascading into big problems eventually. Every so often the Elements of Harmony need to be used to give the world a "Tune Up" to set everything running optimally again.
