"Oh probably not." Dana takes a seat and settles her elbows on the counter. "So you're a writer, huh? Got anything published I might have heard about?"

Dana's Place

"Probably not, to be honest," Aiden says, shrugging and having more ice cream. "My home world and the Nexus aren't very connected, and I'd only just started publishing a novel or two before I ended up here."

[Gullara]

[Dana's Place]

"Ah, well that's too bad. What sort of thing do you write about?" Dana asks. She's never actually met a writer before, so this is interesting.

[Devixer]

Dana's Place

"Well, my first book was a hardboiled detective novel about a covered-up murder. That took a lot of editing to become remotely decent." Aiden considers what else he's written before continuing. "Other than that, I've written quite a few short stories, mostly historical fiction or high fantasy."

[Gullara]

[Dana's Place]

"That sounds cool. Maybe if you get a chance and still have a copy of it, you could get it distributed around here. I doubt your original publisher would ever find out." She says the last jokingly.

[Devixer]

Dana's Place

"I doubt they will too, 'cause I don't think I can go home," Aiden says, somehow not getting serious at the end there. "I don't have a copy, but I can always rewrite it."

[Gullara]

[Dana's Place]

Dana gives her a sympathetic look. It must have been hard being pulled here from her home. Dana herself never went through that, so she can only empathize. "That might be something to think about when you have spare time. I know I'd buy it if you did."

[Devixer]

Dana's Place

Aiden grins a little. "Yeah. Right now, I'm caught between work and drawing up plans for this business of mine, but I'd really like to get back into my writing at some point."

[Gullara]

[Dana's Place]

"Then you definitely should. You know, as soon as you're not too busy." Poor guy is going to be swamped!

[Devixer]

Dana's Place

"Believe it or not, having enough time to sleep every night is a bit more important to me than writing," Aiden says with a grin on his face.

[Reinholdt]

An Alchemy Stand

After looking more closely, Reinholdt decides to buy a trio of the monocles. Because monocles.
"Anything you wanted?" He asks Vel.

Dana laughs. "Oh yes, I agree entirely. I have had a few sleepless nights here and there, but it's a disaster for customer relations when I'm grumpy."

[Devixer]

Dana's Place

"Oh, I've been there," Aiden says, grinning a little at his memories of bartending. "And hey, if this does happen for me, you'll be able to just get a cup at my place and wake right up."

"Well there we go then. You've got yourself a regular already, because I love my coffee. Blame my dad for that one." Dana says with a short laugh.

[Devixer]

"Good thing I make coffee way better than any place like MagBucks. Hate to disappoint you," Aiden says, laughing a little himself.

"So do you have a date when you're planning to open? Or do you even have anything lined up for it at all yet?" Dana asks. It'd be nice to know how close he is to getting his place up and running.

[Devixer]

"I've been looking at a couple of places around here and trying to get a loan so that I can rent somewhere," Aiden says. "Nothing concrete yet."

[Gullara]

"Ah, well good luck with that then. Promise me you'll let me know when you're opening as soon as you find out."

"Oh, of course," Aiden says, finishing up his cone.

[Gullara]

Adrian may not that her attention has shifted behing him where a party of people is entering the parlor. "Well it looks like it's back to work for me. It was nice talking to you, Adrian."

[Devixer]

Dana's Place

"Nice talking to you too," Aiden says, shifting out of his chair. "I should probably get back to work myself anyway." Unless Dana wants to stop him, he'll head back to the M'usic Imporium for work.

[Haruki-kun]

He thinks for a bit, then says,"Hey guys. It's me, Versullan. Remember the incident with the dimension door and the lycanthropic chicken? Well I was teleported to a new dimension. I haven't found a way back yet, but by all means go without me. I very well may never see you again. I jus wanted to let you know I'm safe." He nods to Sigma.

The masked man takes note perfectly and at incredible speed. Almost as fast as Versullan says it. He writes the whole thing verbatim and then looks up at the customer.

"Is that all you wish to say?" asks the Witch.

The Witch takes the gem as payment and sets it on the table. Sigma puts the quill into the ink bottle and signs off the parchment, then rolls it up, with a seal magically appearing on it.

The Witch's eyes begin to glow. "By the power granted to me by the Cosmos, I receive from you this payment, and grant your Wish in return."

The masked man hands her the parchment, which she holds in both hands. Her eyes shine even brighter. The Witch takes a deep breath and blows on the roll of parchment. A corner of it catches on fire, the flames alternating colors of the rainbow, until the parchment is consumed. No ashes or any indication that the parchment was there is left.

"Your message has been sent," says the Witch. "Your friends should have received it by now. Thank you for your business. Is there anything else I can do for you? If there is not, Plum will escort you out as soon as you're ready."

Syela arrives back here after her date a fair bit different than she left. Rather than the little dress she left in, she's wearing some too large sweatpants and a tee shirt. The dress is bundled up under her arm along with some underwear? Not only that, she's a bit unsteady on her feet and smells like wine. To top it off, she looks absolutely miserable.

She heads right back toward her room, but Dorota or Crissy, or perhaps someone else could very well encounter her on her way there.

She does encounter Dorota, who is rather pleased with herself and the world in general after some quality time with Crissy. Her content demeanour is replaced by worry when she sees Syela, though.

"Syela! Are you alright? What happened?"

Given where she said she was going, she has some unpleasant ideas.

Syela cringes when Dorota sees her. She'd been hoping to just disappear into her room for a while. "I'm fine, Dorota." She says, not very convincingly. "I just need to go lie down for a while."

"You don't look fine, Syela," Dorota says, firmly, looking at the fey-girl above her glasses. "Why don't we sit down so you can tell me about it?"

Oh jeez. Syela avoids meeting Dorota's eye. Her feet are fair game, though. "Um, yeah. Okay." She says extremely reluctantly.

Dorota leads Syela there, and makes two cups of warm tea. Then she sits herself down at the table.
