Aric walks in with a bounce in his step. He looks for a desk clerk, and if he can find one he'll introduce himself and express a desire to join the Org.

Kirk isn't the only one who might or might not have difficulty with jammers. A passing Magbot goes by, driving a big ol' semi-truck full of packaged limes. For whatever reason, the citrus fruit has always had a strange natural immunity to telewarping, and with the usual telewarp routes down while Magtok installs new telepads across the Nexus, he's had to resort to more conventional means of shipping for MagMart goods headed to Riverside.

The Magbot loses control of the wheel, and starts spasming wildly due to the effects of the jammer. The good news is, he doesn't hit anybody. The bad news? He hits a building, smashing a glass display and nearly demolishing a small local business opposite NO, as well as damaging the back of the truck, causing limes to go spilling out everywhere.

The robot immediately sprints over, as well as six more, and together they pull the truck over to the side of the road. The original robot walks over to the Magbot, examines it, shakes its head and will attempt to find an off switch. One fires up a plasma weapon in its wrist and welds the back of the truck together while the other four collect the limes. A seventh robot is watching.

An off switch? No, I'm afraid there's no such thing. There is, however, a jerky punch thrown in the general direction of Harald's robot. Largely irrelevant, and probably another accident of the spasms, but I can't imagine Harald will fail to note such a thing. Everything else seems to be going smoothly, though.

Well isn't that interesting. Kirk produces the camera again, even before the truck has crashed in full. Always quick to react this guy. He starts snapping pictures again, of the crash and of the robots helping. What he'll do with the pictures is a mystery, though.

"It's a relief nobody was hurt." The drow comments, moving closer tot he scene. He's not taking any more pictures after taking a bunch before, instead holding the camera loosely at his side.

Meanwhile, the orks whoop and holler, delighting in the crash and only wishing it could have been more destructive. Oh well, they'll take what they can get.

Aric smiles warmly. Ah, it's a pleasure to see you again. Actually, I would like to be a fully fledged member of NO. With that, he bows to the seated goblin.

The original robot leans slightly to avoid the punch, and steps away, going to help its brothers pick up the limes. When Kirk comments, he replies:

"Indeed. If you'll excuse me, I need to clear this mess up."

The watching robot is carefully keeping its face turned away from Kirk.

Speaking of the law... about this time, an Inside Peacekeeper arrives on a motorbike. He's tall and thin, with grey skin, and wearing dark sunglasses. If he's armed, it isn't obvious.

"Peacekeeper Gyps here," he says, showing his badge. "I need to talk to the driver, and any witnesses, please."

Seven identical robots, seven feet tall and clad in off-white metal, walk up. One steps forward.

"I and my brothers were present. The driver is incapacitated."

He indicates the twitching Magbot.

"You can take a license and do some mercenary work, unless of course you have some sort of proof right now, or an idea about how to obtain it. We're nothing if not flexible."

Well, looks like Kirk needs to cancel his plans for the afternoon at this rate. "Afternoon, Peacekeeper. I wasn't planning on leaving. Take your time."

Kirk takes out his phone to shoot Dena a text... Huh, dead. Okay then, he puts that away and produces a second phone... Well then. A third phone (he has too many phones), and still nothing. He glances at the Magbot, entirely robotic, and then back at his phone.

"I imagine that it's relevant that none of my electronics are working." He says, looking at Gyps. Kirk will let the peacekeeper ask more if he wants to go into that right now.


And of course watch with some interest. Hey, maybe there'll be a brawl. they'd be so in on that.

Oh gods... his breath... It's horrible! It smells like rotten meat.

Then again, robots might not have a sense of smell, or might not perceive it as an unpleasant odour.

Suddenly a little voice comes from the inside of Kirk's camera. "Oh phew. Permission for air, boss? The fact I'm physically incapable of breathing should empathize just how bad this guy's breath smells." Oh uh. "Seriously, he'd have a promising career down there if he ever quits his current job."

Kirk might be able to shut up the imp before he finishes his little rant though, Dena have mentioned that giving the camera a good smack should be enough.

I successfully planted and led a small village for three years before...moving on.
Though if that's not concrete enough I could perform a task for NO, if you'd like.
