Re: EMPIRE! A Community World-Building Tale of People & Discovery
It's his son >.> I was pretty sure I made that clear. Genivanan succession is oldest male heir.
Also the 2, 4, 4, 6, 5 is what I wrote down in my nation post. Without the +1s inherited from Zeburi, Mosi couldn't have founded a religion in round 1. There was some confusion on that earlier with Morph too because I didn't think to link to Mosi's stats in the IC thread.Last edited by zabbarot; 2014-01-27 at 09:51 AM.

Re: EMPIRE! A Community World-Building Tale of People & Discovery
I admit (I should not have, but) I was caught out a little by Round 1 finishing a day earlier. I had finished the actions, but did not finish the fluff and did not catch the fact I did not specify what Tekorva was trading with Pyronia for. (It should be public knowledge... It was Tekorva fish for Pyronia coal) Ah well... Had a busy week.
My question is, do I now have to redo that in Round 2 to be importing coal? It also invalidates my 'just curious' action of Round 1. Two actions useless! /headdesk (ah, I feel the royal fool! Hahaha)
Mmm? I thought the Wordiness was a joke.

Re: EMPIRE! A Community World-Building Tale of People & Discovery
No problem, Wombat. I was worried the rules had changed at first tbh. Morph had sent me a PM about not being able to found a religion because I only had a 4, but I think he was looking at Zuberi's stats at the time. I'm pretty sure it's all worked out and Nadurja is in fact founded...
I didn't finish my fluff until after the deadline either unfortunately. I wrote up the religion stuff about 2 hours after he closed it I think.
I got pretty lucky with Mosi's stats. I hadn't planned on founding a religion in the first turn, but I had planned on Zeburi retiring. When I got my rolls though, I knew what to doLast edited by zabbarot; 2014-01-27 at 10:14 AM.

Re: EMPIRE! A Community World-Building Tale of People & Discovery
My recommendation is to make two sets of actions for round 2, one with the actions you made last round as you intended, the other without. That way when Morph returns on thursday, he can make a ruling and you can slip in and out the actual one. Additionally, if you attend the Ball, I assume you can combine the "changing the terms of your trade alliance" with "going to the Ball" provided that the other ruler in your alliance is also present at the Ball.

Hey, the Conference and the Ball are both happening in Lyradis at the same time right? If so I'm guessing the Conference is basically in another room off to the side?

Re: EMPIRE! A Community World-Building Tale of People & Discovery
Grand Ball Thread
Anyone in the Grand meeting with Waylander's country will have to ask about that in character. The king is providing a room for you to meet, yes. Please make sure you account for all members present in the Ball, such as the sons and daughters, and so on. People running several characters might want to color their text.Scientific Name: Wombous apocolypticus | Diet: Apocolypse Pie | Cuddly: Yes

Re: EMPIRE! A Community World-Building Tale of People & Discovery
Ah cool. I wasn't really to worried about the Conference, but I wasn't sure where the ball thread was going to be. Mosi himself won't be attending, but a Genivanan entourage will be there (I'll still be spending an action on it).
That way the young ones can meet people and make alliances. Mosi figures the old should just make do with what they already have; he's not really so great at all this diplomacy

@Elemental - for the purposes of the Ball, would you be interested in playing Korath? That could be fun.

Re: EMPIRE! A Community World-Building Tale of People & Discovery
For woodwind's animals let's say dire boar are the predominant animal resource but deers and oxen and other sundry animals exist there too, can't hardly have an ecosystem with only one animal. But as I said, Dire Boars (and regular boars) are the big ones.

Re: EMPIRE! A Community World-Building Tale of People & Discovery
Hey, Morph? I just thought of something.
What if the new Doge has to be trained by the Old Doge for, say, five years or so? That way it's just like a normal succession. It's fluffed differently, but it can be treated the same in Crunch.

If that's too OP, then silver."Are we living a life that is safe from harm? Of course not, we never are. But that's not the right question. The question is: are we living a life that is worth the harm?"

Alright, so for furs, what I meant was ermine, bear, and sable furs. I counted that as all one resource, under furs, and Morph did not seem to have a problem with it. But I'll bring it up Thursday or Friday, to be sure.

Re: EMPIRE! A Community World-Building Tale of People & Discovery
Sure. I suppose I can do that. Just note that the King of Ashenia and his retinue will also be attending.
I assume from this table that due to the abundance of gold in this world in comparison to silver, that silver is the more valuable metal. In that case, Ashenia is even richer than I thought.
That it does. However, these are dairy cows. They are kept for their milk, which is then either drunk or made into things for export. Said cows are not for eating.Mauve Shirt, Savannah, Gnomish Wanderer, Cuthalion and Smuchmuch get cookies for making me avatars. (::)

Re: EMPIRE! A Community World-Building Tale of People & Discovery
@Elemental. Yeah, when I saw that chart, I began to question my decisions. I suppose the gold was because it's valuable IRL, it's valuable here. Incidentally, the silver idea is clever, and would have been mildly amusing. Plus, retaliation is kind of impossible- I mean, you literally would have buried him in gifts.

Re: EMPIRE! A Community World-Building Tale of People & Discovery
Basilisk does make more sense as a reassure than just the venom. Might ask Morph about changing that.
As to the assassins, there are a LOT of people here, and quite frankly I don't trust anybody except maybe chief and Zabbarot, and you of course Wombat.
Plus, the whole "this guy is a shady character" thing from the other guests, while unintentional, is friggin' hilarious. I might play it up a bit just for lulz.
