Re: Dungeons and Dreamboats V: Snakes & Cakes
The movie Antz might be able to help you out. Jennifer Lopez voiced "Azteca" from that 'meh' competitor to A Bug's Life.
I never could figure out why people draw breasts on insects. It makes even less sense than on lizards.

Re: Dungeons and Dreamboats V: Snakes & Cakes
Very much agreed.
Also, if the goal is to make something that is a cross between a human and an animal it makes just as much sense to give it mammalian characteristics as it does insectile. Now if your goal is to simply create a large bipedal insectoid race than I agree mammalian characteristics are out of place, but the above picture very much does not appear to be such.Looking for feedback on Heart of Darkness, a character driven RPG of Gothic fantasy.

Re: Dungeons and Dreamboats V: Snakes & Cakes
Okay. A bit of a special request. I need Rubbery Men.
For all those who have not played Fallen London, the best description I can give is "sea creatures shaped to look like men". The default seen in the game seems to be greenish-grey skinned, with extremely large, yellow eyes and tentacles instead of mouths. A bit like Illithids, really. But, well, that's boring.
So, I'm looking for anything vaguely humanoid in shape (arms, legs, heads), but with sea creature parts. Lobster claws, urchins instead of faces, tentacles. Not fishmen or mermen, though. They are too normal. I'm looking for creepy, unsettling and alien.
Bonus points for victorian clothing.Last edited by Eldan; 2014-05-02 at 07:01 AM.

Re: Dungeons and Dreamboats V: Snakes & Cakes
Something else that you may want to look at are the pirates that sail on the Flying Dutchman from the Pirates of the Caribbean movies.

Those are some very nice pictures. And Zoidberg. I may use one of those.
I also found this, which is a non-Zoidberg lobster man:

Re: Dungeons and Dreamboats V: Snakes & Cakes
I have a quite specific request. I play a Red Dragon Disciple but I would be happy with any Half-Dragon/Draconian/Dragonborn picture with the following perks:
- (red) robes
- fire
- male
- bigger guy (I can't have a scrawny magic user represent Str 20/Con 18)
I have this so far but it's so token it hurts:

Pic request:
Paladin/Duskblade (gestalt/E10)
Male
Young
Weapons of choice are lance from horseback, or warhammer when on the ground
Low-ish level - some combat experience, but not a lot. Still wearing a breastplate (vs full plate) and not a lot of scars.
