The morning breeze brings the smells of spring to you with a blast of cool, wet air. The skies are clear for the first day in over a week, and a soft cacophony of birds and insects enjoying the sun can be heard by any that care to listen. A few errant flowers bloom by the sides of the road, adding small splashes of bright colour to a landscape otherwise predominantly brown and green. In the distance, farmers can be seen tending their fields – further afield are forests beginning to regain their leaves after a long winter.

You have been hired by Sir Baldwin – an old knight with a reputation for generosity – to drive off an unusually determined pack of wolves that have been attacking his livestock, and are heading to his estate now. In return for your services, you've each been offered a reward of 100gp, along with connections to some of the nobility – and the promise of possible further jobs.

The road ahead winds through the hills and around the nearby farms, eventually bringing you to the edge of the forest. Light filters through the branches and budding leaves, and the trees rustle in the wind. You see two young women kneeling at a small marble shrine off to the side of the road, perhaps thirty feet ahead of you.

Suddenly, you hear a low growl from the undergrowth, followed by a wolf's howl that sounds very close...

You see a few wolves dart out of the shadows. They seem to be closing in on the women at the shrine.

Geir is glad he took the job. It is simple money and he did not reveal his hateful talents to his peers. He did not bind something until today, probably as a precaution of dangers. He did not use any abilities that might draw attention. He had however, sent his dove to scout ahead. Not from a birds eye view, he uses his normal eyes to see anything unusual that would devour the women that were commoners.

He sees nothing so he will let others handle it. His bird is not here to pinpoint the source because it flown away from where he directs his eyes, supplying other information to his perception instead.

Violet clearly sees the wolves head for the women, she jumps to the conclusion that the wolves will hurt the women, so she springs to action. Hey, YA You two come to me slowly, you are in danger.

And there was one of the squishy people, throwing magic!

Anifabros stretched, then launched himself off the boulder, stiffening his wings as he swooped low over the wolves, his chest glowing with the flame that now erupted from his jaws.
