She then cautiously follows Fossil in the direction of the green light, with Tractor close at her heels.

Snethel strides along as well, seemingly undisturbed by the haunting melodies. "I betcha dey did! Would make a fine pipe..."

You move down the hallway where twenty feet down two more alcoves open up from it. The western hall extends perhaps forty feet, ending at a small marble platform raised about six inches off the floor. A strange, shattered arcane apparatus rests upon this platform, its curved ovular frame giving the appearance of a noble's dressing mirror. Only a third of this frame remains. An unusual arcane glyph about the size of a man's head has been delicately carved into the baseplate of the support platform.

The eastern passage continues for fifthteen feet, a huge pile of collapsed rubble blocks the alcove from top to bottom, it looks like it would take weeks to tunnel through the densely packed debris. The hallway extends for another thirty feet before opening up into a larger chamber, from which the green light continues to flicker and shine.

"Shall we continue towards the green light?" Kegana whispers. "Or maybe some of us could examine this arcane device?" she continues, with a side glance at Fossil.

After examining the strange device Fossil looks up the corridor nodding. This could wait. We should investigate the green light. Stomping up the passage he presses on sunrod in hand...

At short glamce, nothing much can be learned about the artefact, except that the symbols on it don't seem to belong to any common alphabet.

The central hallway opens into a large chamber with wings leading to the east and west. Across the chamber to the north yawns a twenty-foot-wide open arch draped from top to bottom in translucent cobwebs. An eerie green light flickers from beyond the webs, casting strange shadows about the room. The place smells of animal spoor and wet fur. To the west, three short stairs lead to a wide marble dais, but the far end of the wing is obscured by darkness.

Huge slabs of cracked masonry and irregular piles of scattered debris choke the eastern wing, giving the appearance of complete collapse. The sibilant, almost human whispers present in the passage become a chorus in this massive chamber, eerily echoing off the walls.

The robot looks at the webs. Strange curtains of webbing. Mist unusual. looking around he begins to explore, incarnum glasses glowing siftky with a blue light.

You can see through the cobwebs far enough to see a flight of stairs descending, but details are not visible. The webs are caused by hundreds of tiny spiders known to you to be harmless.

"I don't like these idiotic noises," Kegana remarks. "Maybe we should wait for the others and then move down those stairs. Robots are not afraid of spiders, I assume?"

Fossil looks at the webbing and then at Kegana. Shaking its head slowly with the grinding of metal he begins to slowly push down through the thick webbing keeping the sun rod out in front to illuminate the way forward. A careful step on each step as he makes sure there are no traps to strike him down or release a boulder or some other unfortunate such creation...

The precaution about the wolves is a good thing, because no sooner has everyone stepped through the webs into the next T-section, 3 wolves burst forward from behind the collapsed section in the east. 2 of them look almost starved; the last however looks well fed and battle experienced, with a large scar on his face.

(wolves have an initiative of 7, 5 and 3, with 3 being the well fed leader, the leader is the yellow guy. Let me know where everyone is and I'll add your tokens)
