Re: Dead Gods OOC
Woohoo! Thanks!
Also, I think Surgate's character's name is Desdemona, and she's also a member of the Sensates. It's the primary reason he joined them becuase, well... Ebba Cyrus doesn't think things through very well, but they do seem to be a good fit for him.

Yes thanks! Had a ton of work to do for classes so I'm behind in sheets and posting for the new threads. Will catch up soon!

Re: Dead Gods OOC
So I think Langley's about to initiate a confrontation with a shady bariaur vendor in a bar. Let me know if that's stepping on the toes of the story. It might take me a few hours to write up.
edit: Also, PG-13 sexuality. No further than that, I swear!
edit2: And I don't think I chose the right colors there. I'll try something darker next post.Last edited by kazooka; 2014-10-24 at 02:41 AM.

Re: Dead Gods OOC
Thus ends my self-railroading and control of NPC characters. Consider it backstory, I guess. After making Langley out to be a bit of a badass, he will now roll seven straight ones and be killed by a rat.

Re: Dead Gods OOC
kazooka, please do not ever limit yourself... planescape is not and never will be about fighting monsters and gaining levels and weapons...we all know d&d is the ONE game that lets you play "whatever you want" and lets you do "anything you want"...this is not entirely true - until you play planescape...
planescape gives our minds the freedom it needs to fully grow. No limits. We could create any world, any universe, any logical sense and morality laws we want...
So, please., railroad and create any NPC's and places you want! I will try to work every background element into the plot, and if I don't, it's just because I lack the time to read every post with the proper focus, and will just move things along as best as I can.
You guys are the best PbP group I had so far, and now we have 3 games:
- My improvised homebrew, which I think it's the best campaign ever, and we're still just level 2...Oh, c'mon... You had a goblin party, you burned down a horse, Pog one shotted everything and is now a Half-Druid with a monkey, you had a Circus going on where you met the great Captain Thunder, you had a CSI murder thing where you faced some crazy punching doppelganger and, sequentially, we turned the stuff into a thing and now you have your own ship and you're set to meet a freakin Wishmaster so you can get anything you want (as if...)... If that's not having some good times, I don't have a clue on how we can manage to have some...
- The official FR 5th edition d&d campaign, Tyranny of Dragons, so we can run a premade official module, which makes everything easier for me, and I believe has a great backstory, involving Tiamat and Bahamut and such - we can't go wrong with that and we will always tweak things up according to your backgrounds.
- and planescape - an experimental sandbox campaign thing that I'm not really sure I can manage, which is the greatest thing ever!
So please, do not EVER set limits for yourselves. If you want something or if you think someone would be great going on, just let me know. We'll discuss it and we'll probably make it work.
Also, I don't think I ever said it, but I'm Portuguese, so English is not even close to my native language. I'm sorry if my writing is not the most refined. Tomafox is Portuguese, too. So there's that
Anyhow, please remember that you'll never be conditioned by any of my Evil DM Schemes. My main goal is for ME to have fun, and for me to achieve that, I have to feel that you guys are having fun... So, please, go crazy about your characters =)

Re: Dead Gods OOC
Thank you so much, this is by far my favorite group as well! I've had a blast playing with all of you thus far, and I'm excited we've got three great games to participate in together!
And Filtro, thanks again. You've been by far the best DM I've ever had, and had you not said anything about English not being your first language, I would have never guessed! Too cool!

Re: Dead Gods OOC
Care to explain to me what the background tie between Theo and Vel-Kez is?
Or is it already too late to incorporate it into the plot?

Re: Dead Gods OOC
Nothing major. This is what I was thinking may have happened:
Theo was running around asking for a guide. Someone directed him to Vel-Kez, but when Theo didn't have anywhere definitive to go to apart from a few shops, Vel-Kez told him the general area but then said come back when he's got somewhere real to go to.
If that doesn't fit in with what people have got for the plot/characters, I can change or remove that part of my character.

Re: Dead Gods OOC
Is this color working? I can't tell if it's difficult to read or not.
Testing.
Gray whale
Now that we are sending you to The End
That great god
Tell him
That we who follow you invented forgiveness
And forgive nothing
I write as though you could understand
And I could say it
One must always pretend something
Among the dying
When you have left the seas nodding on their stalks
Empty of you
Tell him that we were made
On another day
The bewilderment will diminish like an echo
Winding along your inner mountains
Unheard by us
And find its way out
Leaving behind it the future
Dead
And ours
When you will not see again
The whale calves trying the light
Consider what you will find in the black garden
And its court
The sea cows the Great Auks the gorillas
The irreplaceable hosts ranged countless
And fore-ordaining as stars
Our sacrifices
Join your word to theirs
Tell him
That it is we who are important
(Testing courtesy WS Merwin.)
Oh, and I thought I'd posted it already, but I'm also totally impressed with your command of English, Filtro. I would never have guessed that it was a second language. I can barely order a sandwich in Spanish.Last edited by kazooka; 2014-10-27 at 11:37 PM.

Re: Dead Gods OOC
I actually had no idea that Feather Fall worked on multiple people. I can't get to my handbook right now (it doesn't look like it's in the basic handbook), so someone else is going to have to check on that one.

Re: Dead Gods OOC
It does. To be fair the only reason I know is one of my other characters levelled up recently and I picked it up as a 1st level spell.
