Spako nods. He feels better with someone saying that, even though that's basically what can be said about anything anywhere.
"Well, you never did tell me what exactly you are. I think back home there might be a race called Drider that are similar in shape, but their name is derived from their relation to the dark-skinned Drow elves, which you clearly have no connection to."
That or they removed the genes that gave them their dark skin.

During the Journey

Krait hates horses. Hates them. Almost as much as he hates dogs. Horse-riding was never part of the curriculum when he was training to be a double-agent (when is a goblin mercenary leader going to need horses or people who can ride them?), so he's bitter and sore and uncomfortable the entire day's ride, and it's all this stupid horse's fault. He slaps it across the face when it's finally time to set up camp for the night, and goes off in search of some socially acceptable way to take his frustrations out on something or someone.

Ghoul was... Untrusting of the steeds provided though it was due to a lack of familiarity with the beasts than anything. She preferred the reliability of construction and artifice if she could get it but.. Well, she could probably just stick to the supply wagons if that was an option. Those, at least, weren't any less comfortable and she could probably sneak in a bit of shut-eye given how it was still oppressively bright out.

The fact that this was expected to take a week, though, meant that she might need to... 'Supplement the hunting parties' though. She hardly expected any among the escort to be so readily accepting of her nutritional needs. Besides, it would be a good time to get to know the surrounding area, seeing how she'd preferably be spending the daytime sleeping like the dead.

In any case, if it was 'recommended' that she take a horse then she'd likely be rather grouchy at nightfall but it was otherwise not something that couldn't be mostly handled although she was loath to spend the whole week that way. Once night came, though, another knight would find themselves approached with a few questions more directed towards cultural and judicial matters. Ghoul wasn't one who outwardly gave the indication of being culturally sensitive most of the time but seemings weren't everything. As for which gender she would offer up her questions to, that didn't particularly matter to her so much as it was one who didn't look immediately busy.

((Assume general questions about how things are run and the ways of the kingdom and such. Actually going through each question might drag on is why I'm going this route))

"Noted. They are not surrendering. I have to questions your priorities, though. That was a seriously weird choice you gave them."
Ashna shrinks into the corner of her cell, just in case someone decides to shoot indiscriminately in the general direction of the prisoners.
Gotta see how this plays out before taking a side. What is the motivation of this contemptuous hero? That's what really matters. Not whether he wins, but why he's fighting.

Hello there. That stupid helpful nature wizard sent you here, didn't he? The voice whispers through the reeds at the edges of the pool, coming from several directions.
What are you looking for? A way home? A way to finish your job? Something to distract you from the crushing emptiness of your life?

Krayger looks about for the search of the voice. Not finding it, he simply stands up straight, holding his axe by its end and resting the head on the soft ground.
"Uh, let's go with the first two of those. Some might call it business, but If I can help it I'd prefer to avoid working on this places if there are people living on them, or at least a place connected to them."
Krayger has less morals than some, but he has morals. Besides, building over people's homes is just asking for trouble.

In the middle of what looks like a gladiatorial arena Libra appears!
She's dressed up fancy dress and everything. "I declare the first annual wish contest to be open! May it last to Thankmas!" She declares while gesturing towards Wolfy the God. "Wolfy! Summon our first vic- er, contestant!"

Laser Hallway

He does need to deflect swords, since this is the hallway that used to have bedrooms. There are all sorts of traps that have swords pop out, too.

After much difficulty, Aiden will make it through the hallway. He enters one last room. Out of this room, to the left, is the room with the prisoners and DC and everyone else.

This room, however, is pretty dangerous. There's tripwires everywhere, and the tripwires are obviously attached to dangerous things. So he'd better be careful trying to get through here.

Aiden rolls his eyes looking at the tripwires low to the ground. "Great, now I get to do the tiptoe crap," he says. Sure, he could just jump over all of them, but that would hardly be sporting. So instead, he creeps his way through the tripwire labyrinth.

Horses seem to be unpopular.

Jazirian, too, seems to have never ridden nor even been near a horse in his entire life. He's liable to make an ass of himself when he attempts to ride it, though it's mitigated by his superb natural balance and general friendliness towards animals.

He keeps his distance from the knights and other members of the king's entourage, electing not to approach any of them with questions or other things of the sort.

Kal grins as DC chooses to focus his fire on him, raising his right gauntlet to catch the energy blasts, which curve in, drawn by some mysterious force to collect in the palm of his hand. After collecting a few rounds of fire, DC may find his own weaponry turned against him; the collected energy lancing out in a beam straight back against the psychic.

Wolfy, currently dressed in a red suit and tie, nods and pulls his large hat off his head, reaching into it with his entire arm in order to pull out a name on a strip of paper. "It looks like our first lucky contestant is a lucky one named Kellia!" He says before snapping his fingers, causing the PC to appear in the exact state of whatever they were currently doing, no matter how embarrassing.

(As for the Princess Plot, it is being moved to Serious)

Michalson sweeps his staff in front of him in a wide, slow arc, which causes a wall of black thorns to erupt behind DC and to his sides, circling around him. The purpose is to keep him boxed in and prevent dodging or manoeuvring.

Kellia, having just been doing something completely different, flails a bit as she arrives. Currently sitting on a swivel stool and wearing headphones that are no longer plugged into anything, she looks around, rather confused.

Libra waves enthusiastically at the girl. "Hello there! I'm Libra and this is Wolfy and we're going to grant you one wish! You then select which one of us have granted it the best! Sounds cool right? You could wish for anything!" Libra proclaims in her normal loud tone which probably is required for her to hear through those headphones.

"And keep in mind that it is a wish that we have to be able to fulfill. Any of that 'I wish for you not to grant this wish' stuff will result in a random horribly embarrassing transformation placed upon you before being teleported somewhere public. With lots of people." Wolfy warns before grinning. "So! With that in mind, what is it that we can do for you today?"

"Uh... uh, okay, just to clarify, I get one wish, period, and you both are going to grant it, or is it one wish each?" If she only gets one wish, period, then she's going to have to think of a wish that is really good but works to get granted TWICE. If she gets two, she can be more flexible.

"Uhh pff okay uhh." Money-no that's dumb. Immor-no that's dumber. Sonic superpowers-already a pokemon. This is a whole lot harder than it should be! "High-quality bag of holding! Please." There! Solve the issue of not having enough pockets.

The tripwire labyrinth actually isn't that adventurous. It's probably very boring, to be honest. Eventually he makes it to the Ruined League of Ruins's detention center, where he'll see Kal and DC firing against each other.


Meanwhile, Awen also comes in, through the other door. She doesn't see Michalson coming around the side, yet, because of all the action going in the room: the two firing things at each other, and so on. Especially that. It looks incredibly dangerous, so she hangs back in the entranceway, with only her head sticking out (and her fox's head, too).
She looks around for the prisoners. Oh! There!

She sees Ashna and Krystal in the cages, over there. How will she get over there, though...? Awen waves at the two in the cage, whether they see her or not, and tries to map out a safe pathway to the cages.


MEANWHILE!

Malicebot #8's cape has finally repaired itself, so he stands up and walks to the courtyard. He opens up one of those panels on his arm - the same kind the Buzz Lightyear has, you know? - and sends a message directly to Malice. "The heroes have made it into the detention wing. Should I boot up your parting gift?" he asks. He means the giant mech thing, that Malice had prepared beforehand in case it was necessary.

He makes his way through the decimated courtyard, to the still-untouched gazebo. He waits under there for confirmation.

Libra looks at Kellia skeptically. A bag of holding? That wasn't particularly exciting, it was really just a bag. Surely it could be made into much more than that. "Okay... one bag of holding coming up!" She declares as a a bag with orange fur and two green eyes with a black strap attached to it before Kellia. It looks awfully... alive.

The bag makes a little growl as she puts it on, but otherwise is perfectly normal. "Alright! Wolfys turn!" Libra exclaims as she gestures at the wolf god.

Wolfy frowns. "That's...actually pretty clever, Libra." He admits. "Alright, what's your second wish?"

"I don't have a prison, what would I do with them!?" For DC's part he's smart enough not to keep shooting at the absorber, and raises one of those red forcefields to block the return fire instead of dodging. It's not exactly an unknown sort of concept, that.

That and he has a trick.

After the return fire gets blocked, he waves the forcefield away, and his head twitches. A clicking noise can be heard from his guns.

Except he doesn't immediately shoot again. Instead his red aura flares up again, and Michalson might find it manifesting around his staff as the psychic attempts to telekinetically rip it from his grasp. Or he might hold on and get dragged with it if he can hold on but can't keep his footing against the force.

At which point he'll just fling the thing behind him, or if Michalson is still attached, right in front of him, at which point he'll blast him at point blank with the beam pistol he was using...except it'll fire off a scattered energy blast akin to an energy-scattergun, the beam-splitter having been activated. That sure would make it harder to block like Kal was doing.

Of course that only happens if Michalson himself gets yanked over. If not, he'll fire at Kal some more, and the fact of 'basically a shotgun' is liable to screw up the block-and-redirect trick. Unless they're rather large gauntlets.

Aiden emerges from the tripwire labyrinth and doesn't look very happy. All those wires were boring him out of his skull. When he looks ahead of him and sees DC, he assumes that's the psychic from earlier and groans. It seemed like the Soap Brigade managed to get here before him. Lame.

He looks around some more and sees the prisoners. Well, at least he could get them out of this snoozefest. He draws his sword, rests the blade against his shoulder, and saunters over to the cages. He doubts that DC, Kal, or Michalson will even notice him. They seemed pretty distracted.

Happy takes a glance back the way they came and sighs. "Duty before pleasure. Release the hostages first, and then I'll see if I can come up with a rain themed song to go with our duel."

"Fine," Malice answers reluctantly, to both at once. "Open the pod bay doors, Hal, and focus your fire on the psychic."

With that resolved, he turns back towards the 'captive,' though at this point the jury is out on which one of them is being held prisoner right now. "There, happy?"

I don't think you'd want food powers or hedgehog ones though, so I have an idea." He says before summoning a target about thirty feet away from Kellia. "Alright! Now, point your left hand at it and snap your fingers."

Assuming she does so, there's a loud bang as a pocket of superheated air shoots forth and knocks the target to pieces. "Took the idea from a pistol shrimp." Wolfy admits. "It'll hurt like hell and stun even an ox, so use it carefully."

When DC's mental energy focuses on Michalson's staff, he only grasps it tighter, which caused a force field to erupt around it, pushing the telekinetic force away. He promptly responds by sending three razor-thin tendrils of shadow at DC's guns, which will try to attack its vulnerable spots and cause it to malfunction.

Kellia facepalms. She gets two wishes, and she thinks of something she really wants for her THIRD.

Kellia sighs, and snaps. She almost jumps when the target splinters, quite surprised.

"Uh... am I going to have to avoid snapping my fingers? Because if so... not sure if I'm comfortable with that."

"Nah. It'll only work when you concentrate on it, but I have a feeling you're tossing this one to Libra." Wolfy says with a smile, having expected some hesitation on her part for this particular wish.
