The duration of a sleep spell is 1 minute, failing that, would we not be able to shake or slap the sleeper awake?

Oh...sorry...it's been a long time. I thought you knocked him down or something. Any of you guys speak goblin?

As far as I know he was put to sleep and then gagged and tied up with ropes. The other goblin was killed via coup de gras by a dagger cutting it's throat whilst it slumbered.

I guess Thomas might speak goblin, or else why ask to question it...although goblins do know common...how well they speak it/understand it is DM fiat.
