After Cynissa's, Ichigo returns to his apartment only to find it empty. Despite her agreeing to go there once everything started with the investigator, Mayviss is gone. Not only that, but there's no evidence she was ever here in the first place. Settling down his weapons, he can hear the Devil's Bells peal over the city through a curtain of soft autumn drizzle. Despite his newfound powers, he finds that he is still rewarded with sleep, although it is not the rest he's been seeking.

Once Jessica opens the door and Lillisandra is reassured that there is nobody else taking up her friend's time for the evening, she's free to settle down and work through her wearies. Somehow, the drow gets the sense that the real work is only just beginning, and everything she's done up to this point for the Silver Ravens is only a prelude for events to come.

In her childhood home, Cynissa stares through sleep-heavy eyes at the fresh black bureaucracy on the pages in front of her. It's been hours since Ichigo left, and these orders aren't about to write themselves. As she makes out the sounds from the pinnacle of the Temple, she isn't sure whether it's a dream or a nightmare. Shaking herself awake, the tiefling tries to remember what's at stake. If everything goes according to plan, tomorrow could be a big day for them.

Out in the rain, Scrap is comforted by the smell of Laria and the others through his sopping wet blanket. Storm clouds are gathering over the city, blocking the starlight over Argo Isle and the mouth of the Youbilis. This is not the view he's been accustomed to: Old Kintargo has always been his haunt. It's strange; looking at something from another angle seems to completely change its meaning.

As each of you finds refuge for the evening, you are given time to reflect on today's events. After this scare, it's unknown when Laria will be re-opening the Long Roads Coffeehouse basement for your use, if at all. Nonetheless, the vigor of the Ravens is testament to its spirit. Thrune will no doubt continue to throw obstacles like Akilah in your path, but as long as you stick together, there's a chance that everything will be okay.
