Re: OOTS #1069 - The Discussion Thread
Glad to see Elan could finish his task, I knew he had it in him! Isn't there a thread already devoted to what the different art effects on the characters mean?
So I said to myself "SELF, if I were you, and I think I am, I would be beside myself in embarrassment, so slap myself silly."

Damn it, Elan. You made a Gilligan cut. You should know better than to set one of those up.

Only 11 tries! Woo! Roy will be so proud!
Also, wow, Andy somehow managed to not screw this one up :)

Re: OOTS #1069 - The Discussion Thread
I vote for some sort of sword implant for Roy. Or at least one of those swords that can be summoned to his side magically. Heck, maybe that will happen during this fight, and he'll win it by calling the Greenhilt sword to him.
Meanwhile, perhaps Elan can actually, like, help in the fight.

Re: OOTS #1069 - The Discussion Thread
So, it's been 11 turns since Elan has been up here. Mmmh, more than I expected.
Does it means we could speculate the health of that Frost Giant who died?

Re: OOTS #1069 - The Discussion Thread
W00t new comic! Thanks Mr. Burlew! (Live, forums, live again!)
Not really, the cutlass is still right there next to him on the deck before it cuts back to Elan. And presumably Elan is about to descend back to the deck and help Roy duel the remaining frost giant fighter/barbarian/etc. ... hey, maybe Elan will end up dual-wielding the cutlass and his Chaos Sabre? That would be badass.
I find myself wondering if the frost giant woman or her dead cohort(s) could be a paladin of Thrym. Can Thrym even have those? Or is it just simpler to assume that the whole trio are all fighters or barbarians?I prepared Explosive Runes before writing this signature.

Re: OOTS #1069 - The Discussion Thread
Go Elan! Save the world!
And buy a thesaurus next time you're in town. You've a bard, dammit. Words are supposed to be your thing. "Swoopy star conditions" is insufficiently poetic.
Heroism takes many forms; today, it took the form of "Psst. Hey buddy, take it".
EDIT: If Roy gets back on his feat with Elan at his side will Giantess surrender ... unconditionally?
Also, I hereby call upon Mr. Burlew to give the woman a name. She is truly numbered among the badass, and even in death should be remembered with honor.Last edited by Shining Wrath; 2017-03-30 at 03:39 PM.

At least Roy has an excuse for losing his sword this time. He must be stunned, which forces you to drop held weapons.

Re: OOTS #1069 - The Discussion Thread
The situation hasn't improved dramatically with the mending but the game-y humor gave me a breather, for some reason.
