Alone for now, Darsalla tried to appear busy while watching the officers. It shouldn't be hard to tell which one was the General - it would be useful later on. If it seemed she was under scrutiny, she would return to the barracks.

Skivven swigs another vial of invisibility while hiding in a nearby planter. No one walked through the area where he hid, though he worked frantically just the same. An exterior staircase led to the third level. Skivven could hear guards talking from that position. Darsalla kept to herself and noticed that one of two officers could possibly be the General. They were both well decorated and garnered most of the attention with lame banter and jovial bluster. Eying the more balding of the two, Darsalla notices several gold chains clinging to his neck that disappear into his uniform. The second office is less adorned with jewelry. Male baldness and jewelry seem to be the only differences in the pair.

Darsalla looked around for her companions. Heading in, she sought her allies before they got further separated. She hoped to find the halfling, who might be able to distract the general should the man head back towards his quarters.

Skivven / Nibbles

Once invisible again Skivven continues his scurrying up the stairs to the supposed room. He slows when he hears the talking grow louder, stopping once he finds where the sound is coming from. He'll then peer around some more as he stays in place, looking for a way to get into the room to try and find this accursed gem.

Darsalla spots Asbjorn, but not Skivven.

Skivven turns the corner, moving upward toward the staircase to find two guards standing on the stairs. Even with invisibility, there's not enough room on the stairs to walk by the guards. What do you do?

Skivven / Nibbles

Skivven for his part scoots up near the guards (roughly ten feet away) before he contemplates scooting around on the outside of the stairs, assuming they're open on one side.

If they aren't then he'll move down and called out "Soldier, I need your help moving this table down here. General's orders" in his best human male soldier voice, knowing it won't work.
