[Zergrinch]

Before Zara wild shapes into a denizen of cave, she realizes two things.

First, the cave doesn't appear to have any beasts inside it, which means the goblins might have cleared it out and even may have eaten them all.

Second, she remembers how easily her cat disguise was caught back at the Manor, and the people there weren't expecting intruders. These particular goblins seem to be smarter and more ruthless than what the halfling had heard from her brother, and so she just decides to stick to the middle of the group as they spelunk.

So in lew of a long rest you enter a cave, and eventually you come to a door. The door is closed.

What do you do?

Grace was disappointed to hear there was no true leader of the group. But this was not a role she could assume.She needed to serve, not lead. And Grace was still only a fledgling Paladin, with little real experience. Her haste in throwing magic earlier... the poor woman...

But leader or not, they must continue the rescue. There was no time to waste. She might not lead the group, but she stood at the front to hold off any other attackers. But instead they found a door.

She turned to the rest of the group. "Does anyone here have any magic or skill that opens doors? Or should I attempt to break it down?"

[Daishain]

Elymas speaks up, "No tricks for doors in my case I am afraid. What I could do is make an illusion of the door to hide its opening. That won't do much about the noise however if we resort to smashing."

[Zergrinch]

Zara tiptoes to the door and puts her ear against it.

[Armored Walrus]

Khoridai steps forward. "Is it even locked?" he asks. He gently tries the door.

Khordai manages to nudge the door open slightly.

However it isn't locked, but it is clearly barred by something.

What do you do? Do you force it open?

[Armored Walrus]

Khoridai turns to the group. "So, seems this is barred from the other side. What do we want to do about this?"

[Daishain]

Elymas shrugs, "They know we're here, not much point in being subtle about it."

Unless stopped, the tiefling will evaluate the door for a weak point, perhaps just some bit he could hack off to get at the bar, and start swinging his axe.

[Zergrinch]

Zara steps aside, and holds her action, ready to fire off a thorn whip should an enemy suddenly materialize!

Fangir Silverbeard

Fangir step ahead and say "Let's go Lads, stay behind. Be ready for more of those nasty creatures." he raises his shield and uses it to force the door open using his strength.

Do you wish to spend enough time making sure the door opens and letting the enemies be well aware of your presence. More so then they are.

Four goblins, one that seems to be in charge burst from a nearby table, as a hail of a javelin and shortbow arrows fly towards Aktor and Grace.

It is Zara's turn. Although they try to hide behind the tables, the boss, and one of the regular goblins are clearly visible.

In no mood to play nice with the goblins, Zara summons a primal ball of fire and rams it right towards one of the hiding goblins!

Afterwards, the halfling tries her best to take cover behind the door.

Action: Cast Flaming Sphere. Duration: 1 minute (concentration).

A 5-foot diameter sphere of fire appears next to the goblin that's gone melee. Afterwards, use a bonus action to ram one of the goblins hiding under a table or chair. The sphere ignites flammable objects not worn or carried (aforementioned table/chair).

Any creature ending its turn within 5 feet of the sphere, or was rammed by the sphere, must succeed on a DC 14 DEX save (d20)[3] + DEX mod, or will take (2d6)[5] fire damage. Half damage on save.

Move: To take cover behind a door.
