I didn't think that "getting killed by your neighbour for playing the didgeridoo" counted as a cure for sleep apnea, but I do suppose dead people aren't waking up in the middle of the night. Yet, anyway.
Your relevant post count has increased enough. That said, please be aware that talking about it is discouraged.

I won a bowling trophy once. It was for a youth league. That's all I have to say about bowling.

Re: 2D8HP's extended mea culpa and Random Banter #218
I took bowling for a PE class in college. My dad got all excited and took me to buy a custom ball and fancy bowling shoes and everything when he found out. I didn't have the heart to tell him I just wanted a PE class where I wouldn't have to change in a locker room or shower afterward. It turns out that dad went to NAIA Nationals in bowling when he was in college, so he had a very different idea of how seriously college students take bowling than I did. (I was not in any danger of going to Nationals in bowling. I went to regionals in a computer programming tournament, though!)

This morning shifts were successfully arranged to make it so nobody knew the code to the kitchen.
I promise the old folks' breakfast wasn't an entire hour late
Although it seems that when I don't lose half an hour I can actually stand the heat. Unless a plate's just come out of the oven.

Re: 2D8HP's extended mea culpa and Random Banter #218
Well, I'm working on figuring out my plan to go back to college in the fall.
Right now I'm working out what I need (since I have a prior degree, I can skip a lot of gened classes) and what I can take where. I'd prefer to take online classes at our local community college, but there's a limit on how many credits in total I can transfer. So I need to see what my max is there, or if it's different if I do the relevant associate's degree, and whether I could do that all online.
Need to fill the FAFSA out this week. I put in my application for our local community college already. It's free and they pretty much just want to know if you're breathing.
I'm just thankful I won't have to provide high school transcripts. Those would be a pain. I shouldn't have to take any of the placement tests either or any SAT stuff.
I am now going to sit here and meep nervously.Last edited by WarKitty; 2018-06-02 at 11:38 AM.

Re: 2D8HP's extended mea culpa and Random Banter #218
I got faith in you! I'm on the back half of mine, finally, because I did have to take all those annoying gen ed classes. I totally get the idea of core classes to round you out when you're young, but I'm plenty rounded, dammit, and I'm used to the corners and edges I still have. Wish they could just give me the major requirements and call it a day, grad schools don't care about how rounded you are.

Re: 2D8HP's extended mea culpa and Random Banter #218
So I just saw a news article about Benedict Cumberbatch saving a cyclist from getting robbed, and when I read "Deliveroo," my first thought that was it some city or town in England. It didn't seem farfetched, honestly, because they already have names like Benedict Cumberbatch.

I'm all clear - no need for surgery. The surgeon I had an appointment with said that my scarring is likely suffocating the cyst-or-whatever-it-was by scrunching it up. If not, then that's the case. If this ever renews, the thing will be removed. But as for now, it'd just leave an even uglier scar.

Re: 2D8HP's extended mea culpa and Random Banter #218
Well what else would you call a service that picks your order up from the restaurant?
(Yeah, it's a British company, that will collect your food and bring it to you.)
Honestly, the only decent thing about Benedict Cumberbatch is his highly exploitable name. Like how if he farmed vegetables he'd be Benedict Cucumberpatch..

Re: 2D8HP's extended mea culpa and Random Banter #218
Imean yeah, it is a fine name, but I had never heard it before and it just sounded kind of like a small British town for some reason. Also, one of my friends legit thought we said "Benedict Cabbagepatch" the first time he heard it.
Also, FinnLassie, congrats on the no surgery! (I'm assuming you are in favor of that decision)

Now that I review things, I sure hope I don't have to take the placement test. I do not understand why quadratic equations are considered a college requirement.

Here's a parody of Dunkin' Donuts: Dungeons and Dragons and Pathfinder Style:
Dungeons and Dragons Version:
Dunkin' Donuts. Greyhawk runs on Dunkin'.
Pathfinder Version:
Dunkin' Donuts: Golarion runs on Dunkin'.
So what do you think of these parodies?
