Only one of the arrows finds its mark. And even then, Lucia notices it doesn't have quite the impact she would expect.

The Captain gives a grateful nod to Korag. She shuffles backwards, avoiding the thunderous swings and footfalls of the construct before her, stands, and draws her crossbow.

Oona's remaining follower looks beaten and a bit dazed, but she just barely keeps her footing and bravely stays in the fight. Fury shows in her face as she attacks the iron enemy once more.

Meanwhile Oona, who is starting to stagger quite a bit, pulls a small vial from a pouch and chugs its contents. It seems to make her a bit more steady, and she takes a deep breath, refocuses, and prepares to defend herself.

Oona glances over at Korag, decides he doesn't need her to interfere and potentially make things worse. After all, her skills are more in the area of causing wounds, not in treating them. So she sheaths her sword, then turns towards the warrior who helped her bring down their foe and offers up her fist for a friendly bump, acknowledging the woman's contributions. The young warrior returns the gesture, then drops to her knees next to one of her fallen companions and begins doing her best to stabilize her friend's wounds. After a moment's hesitation, Oona goes to check on the other, deciding that she should at least try to help.

Oona is more than happy to leave any kind of doctoring to those who know more about it than she does (which may well be everyone else), and takes a few moments to catch her breath and stow her weapons away.

After a few moments, she ambles over to the fallen giants and begins poking about the large corpses, searching for any items she or her new friends can use. She is particularly thorough with the fire giant, checking every single pocket she can find.

Oona picks her way through the warm, wet pile.

She finds the giants greatsword and plate armor, of course. They are far too unwieldy to carry but Oona suspects the tribe would benefit greatly from all the excellent quality steel here.

She finds a number of expensive gems. Some are encrusted on the armor or sword. Some are worn as earrings or other jewellery.

She finds a small pouch (small to the giant that is) with 500 gold and a separate hidden bag with 500 platinum.

Lastly she finds a wand that seems magic-y.

Oona immediately pockets the pouch with platinum coins, then picks up the one with gold coins and the the wand-like stick. She makes careful note of every other valuable item she has found, but does not attempt to carry them back towards the woman Korag called mother, who seems to be in charge of the tribe's warriors.

"The giants are wearing good steel and gems that look expensive. You could use them to get to a new home that hasn't burnt down." Oona nods back towards the fallen giants. "Be a shame if all that money went to waste."

After waiting just long enough for her words to be acknowledged by the tribe's commander, Oona continues over towards Korag, and sets the pouch with gold coins in front of him.

"I figure this is yours, since you missed out on the spell book." She sets the wand on the ground next to the pouch, and steps back, her body language making it more than clear to anyone who is watching that the wand and the 500 gold coins now belong to Korag, and anyone who feels otherwise may feel free to complain to Oona, right this very moment.

Korag numbly takes the wand and pouch without much thought and a muttered 'thanks.' He's exhausted, physically and mentally, though comforted by the survival of his parents. He continues to work through the wounded, attempting to stabilize anyone near death, before making his way to the golem and collecting Ungoliant. The markings on its back catch his attention and he takes a moment to attempt to decipher them.

Finally, he looks to Oona and his mother. "...Now what?" he wonders aloud.

Korag recognizes the etching as the arcane symbols that record spells like the ones in his book. This look like perhaps like two spells but it is difficult to tell. An arcana check may reveal more as to their nature.

Lucia responds to his rhetorical question first "I have to report this to the order. Planar portals are... complicated. We will need to follow up. I'm leaving in the morning."

The Captain clears her throat gruffly. "We will have to leave as well. Probably take us a week. Pack up. Find a new place. Take this with us." She indicates the heap of giant remains.

Korag takes a minute and deciphers the general ideas of the spells. Look like both Poison Spray and Fog Cloud. With some charcoal and paper, he could transfer the etchings for now and then copy them down into a spell book later.

Korag awkwardly mills around, checking to ensure that everyone is okay again but not actually wanting to talk to anyone after his display of magic. He has no idea what to do next.

After a few minutes he wanders down the tunnel a little ways. It's then that the shakes set in. He hyperventilates for several minutes and tries to collect himself.
