Re: Order of the Stick Trivia XIX: It's Always the Demon Roaches
Bah! You dang kids with your new-fangled "close-enough-is-good-enough" triva contests! In my day, we had to trudge uphill two miles in 10 inches of slush both ways to reach our trivia contests! And that's the way it was, and we liked it. WE LOVED IT!

The strip with Elanasaurus shows the one tetrahedron twice. Does that count? #121 only has one.

Re: Order of the Stick Trivia XIX: It's Always the Demon Roaches
Find me a green, a blue and a red(ish) auras in the same strip, and that are not divine quiddities.
Each one of us, alone, is but a drop in the sea
Our powers pale compared with the great heroes
Our battles don’t hit theheadlines or shake the earth
But they are few, can’t be everywhere, and we, many
So, when the world or universe needs saving, they come
But when people needs saving, we are the ones to appear
We're underdogs, but we rise up to the challenge to be heroes.

If you don't want to ask the next question, it's helpful to put "OQ" or "Open Question" so that we can move forward. If you do want to ask a question, let us know.

Re: Order of the Stick Trivia XIX: It's Always the Demon Roaches
What led me to that strip was that after checking the vampire-fighting strips, i thought that maybe auras while casting Summon Proxy would be the colors, so i went to the Godsmoot strips.

Re: Order of the Stick Trivia XIX: It's Always the Demon Roaches
The clothing of Elanicalicus, mighty wizard, in #127.
Find two strips each showing a proper bed with legs and a mattress.
So #227 doesn't count, no matter how comfy those sofas are, because there's no mattress. #336 doesn't count because Elan is sleeping on the floor. #14 also doesn't count because Roy is also sleeping in a bedroll on the floor.
Update: there are in fact at least four strips matching, but I asked for two and won't change the question now.Last edited by b_jonas; 2019-02-18 at 05:04 PM.

Ruck: correct. Another possibility is #123.
I thought that was the vampire Ponchula in #1129 about someone's blood, but apparently no.

I don't know for sure if any of them qualifies, but Elan mangles a lot of famous quotations in this speech. (OQ if correct.)

Not the one I was thinking of, but it works.
Since it's an OQ, I'll ask again.
Find a different strip with a different person citing a different quote by a different Roosevelt..

Re: Order of the Stick Trivia XIX: It's Always the Demon Roaches
Oh very well. That previous quote about fear is attributed to Franklin D. Roosevelt, so we probably have to look for something by Theodore Roosevelt. The closest I've found is #334: Roy says to Elan “that happy ending of yours will be more satisfying when you end up earning it on your own.” Theodore Roosevelt said “Happiness can not come to any man capable of enjoying true happiness unless it comes as the sequel to duty well and honestly done.” There's probably something better said by some dwarf somewhere, but I won't try to find it now. Perhaps you'll tell us what you had in mind. OQ.

Re: Order of the Stick Trivia XIX: It's Always the Demon Roaches
I figure there's a zero percent chance the quote in question is anything other than the one that directly references a stick. I mean, no way the Order of the Stick passed up a chance to riff on that one.
Aha, found it!
