His hopes and planning horribly disrupted by the creature's abrupt crushing of Honor, and the spears lancing into him, it was all that Adam could do to keep in the air, and his will focused on sustaining his protective spell.
But that would not be enough. Not with the time available to him. "Trap's reset! Keep clear!"
Despite the frantic pace of his words, he chants another spell, calling upon the host to help protect himself, Honor, and Aanash from the effects of the mourning, and to enhance their life. He then dives up and over the creature, settling on the ground on the far side, trapping the creature between his bleeding bulk and the trap behind it.

The enormous beast remains steadfast against Adam's reprisal and spirits, though far less so against Aanash's spell. Svek's webs don't have a chance to lock it down, as Honor arises once more. The firs blow rebounds off the monster's thick armour plating, but the second one slams into its side, and the accumulated damage is enough that it collapses down with an enormous crash.
Unfortunately, it does so on top of the trap, and though no longer assailed by the barbs at its own side, those between the creature and Aanash/Svek remain active, piercing the empty air over, and over, and over again.

Left disappointed at being unable to face the beast in direct combat, Aanash sighs and looks at the repeatedly triggering trap. "I will begin breaking this while you search the vault!" he calls to the others. When the spikes shoot out of the walls, he uses his spear to shatter them with sonic force, one at a time.

In the silence that falls after the creature finally succumbs to Honors long awaited strike, cut only by the sounds of the stabbing lances of the trap, Adam's breathing is quite audible within his helmet as he uses the last few seconds of his flight to fly down to Honor, trusting Aanash and Svek to handle the trap. "Will you be all right? That was a nasty hit, and in this god cursed place, there is little I can do to help."
As he waits for a response, Adam carefully listens, hoping to determine whether anything else seemed to have been alerted by their activities, and was coming towards the split party.

Smashing your way through the ever-repeating trap takes time, and is not even slightly quiet, but deep in the belly of the earth it seems you're safe. No enemies come to harass you as you do so, nor are you assailed by dark magics of the Mournland. There is just the mundanity of the moment until, eventually, you carve through one side of the trap enough that you can now pass by without getting skewered. Half of it - the other side - is still in place and endlessly triggering, but the spears don't reach, and you can pass by unscathed.
Ahead of you, behind the smashed down door, is undoubtedly the main vault, crushed by the great talons and bulk of the monster you slayed. The signet ring burning a hole in your pocket that was meant to grant you access, it seems, wasn't necessary. With your extraplanar paper satchel in hand, you begin to pile in every document you can find - it'd be up to those back in New Cyre to sort through them, after all.
But while only one or two of you can collect the papers, the others have the run of the rest of the vault, and its safety deposit boxes. Some are open, some are shut, but none are capable of holding you out when you have time and unlimited opportunity to make noise on your side.
A full, comprehensive run of the vault's contents, amounts to 'retirement' wealth. The only issue is how to carry it all back.

While I'm generally fairly free with carrying capacity, here I'm going to ask you to be a bit more selective and careful with how much you're carrying/dragging.
Please also bear in mind what was said about Kundarak paying for Salvage:
“Regardless of its current position in the Mournland, Kundarak property is still theirs by right and law and they have no legal obligation to pay you anything for its recovery - and legally you would have to turn it all over to them, or be accused of theft. The laws governing the Mournland in the Five Nations haven't caught up with the current situation." With Honor at least moving, and able to keep a watch, Adam takes a quick check through the other rooms, his gaze ultimately settling on the massive, incredible pile of wealth before them. "Well. This is more than I was expecting to find. Or carry." His voice is incredulous, almost stunned by the scale of the find. He looks at the bag of holding he was carrying, then at the pile before them. "Might need quite a bit more than this to fit it all. Does anyone else have a way to carry a lot? We're also going to want to find another exit to this bank, in hopes of avoiding the warforged that are undoubtedly waiting outside."

Crashing through the last layer of defense, Aanash flexes his shoulders. "I think it is safe to say that we are alone down here," he comments on the lack of undead coming down on their heads. Learning what the others have located, he tilts his head back and forth. "It is most efficient to take the magical objects and carry as much platinum coinage as we can, yes? Art is too easy to be broken in travel." It's the boring answer with so many interesting art pieces, but he is more invested in interesting weapons he could buy with the profit than any of these glittering baubles.

It takes time to gather up all you're seeking to carry out with you, and safety forces you to stay together, rather than risk some other ambush when exploring the siderooms for another exit. Tracking time in the dark and dismal dungeon is difficult, but you're sure that collecting everything together takes hours. When you are, finally, finished bagging up as much as you can carry, the task of finding another exit means exploring other rooms is next on your list.
While poking around the doors, Svek hears a quiet scratching behind one, and waits until the party is ready. Together, you step into a room dominated by an arcane glyph on the ground, alongside two purple-fire burning braziers that still seethe with power to this day. What, exactly, this room was for you're not sure - perhaps long distance communication or teleportation. More pressingly though is the individual at the far wall, wrapped in damaged clothing slick with blood. A dwarf, or what was once a dwarf. Both his arms have been replaced by enormous crab-claws, both stained by still-dripping blood, as is his chin. Scattered around the crouched man are bodies, three in total, each marked by injuries and clearly lacking chunks that appear to have been bitten out of them. Their gear, damaged and likely beyond any proper use, marks them as unlikely to have been the bank's residents, though you can't spot any immediate markings that identify them.
When you enter, the man glances at you fearfully, and then looks away, scraping one of his claws on the wall and muttering incomprehensively to himself.

With the hoard from the vault packed and loaded, Adam gives the ocean of gold behind them one last look before joining in the search for the alternative exit.
However, as Svek signals an alert, Adam does his best to approach quietly, although his best was clearly not good enough, as the dwarven monstrosity, the monstrosity that had seemingly killed his former friends, notices them. The extra limbs the dwarf had seemed like they had come from the same source Aanash had chosen to trust, and they had, evidently, betrayed their owner.

"Greetings," Aanash is the first to try speaking to the dwarf, who appears to his eyes to have turned to cannibalism from desperation after being trapped here. He must be quite frayed at the edges of his mind. "Are you of the... Kundarak expedition?" he asks. "We were sent on the same."

The dwarf definitely hears what you've said, though he can't seem to bring himself to look at you. When he speaks, it's no language you've ever heard before. "Tsrif em llik d'yeht ro meht llik ot dah. Ekaf...oot. Yssalg oot er'yeh. Seye eht s'ti. Meht nees t'ndah uoy fi wonk t'ndluow uoy. Gnorw. Ekaf tub, sdrow emas eht gniyas, secaf emas eht gniraew, senolc rorrim yb decalper, ni keew eno tsol owt. Efil rof tes eb d'ew dna sdnalnruoM eht ni owt ro keew a. Ysae eb dluow ti thguoht ew."
A crab claw reaches into the folds of his clothes and plucks free a signet ring that looks extremely familiar. They hold it aloft for a moment, before letting it drop with a quiet clatter against stone. "Yats ot evah i. Yats t'nac i. Yats ot evah i. Yats t'nac i. Yats ot evah i. Yats t'nac i. Emoh og t'nac i. The Kundarak ring marks him as almost certainly part of the expedition, and likely those around him his now deceased comrades. The madness in him is clear though.

Adam frowns as he takes in the pitiful state of this dwarf, and the nonsense it babbled. "I'm afraid that I don't understand that language." Afterwards, he swaps to dwarven, and tries speaking again. "Do you speak dwarven?"
Despite his words, he seems tense, unsure of whether the fleshwarped components stood in control, and concerned about what that meant for Aanash.

It is difficult enough to track fast conversations in a foreign language sometimes, but Aanash perks up as he hears a few consistent words within the mess the dwarf is babbling out. Raising a brow, he quirks his head and listens more intently. "Aha! I get it. He speaks in reverse," he points out to the others. "I did not catch all of the first part. But... something about, he killed them because they were not real. Wants to leave, but," he shrugs his shoulders. "Knows he cannot really leave. Not like he is. He has some clarity, even in the fog of whatever has come over him."
Resting his hand on his hips, Aanash stows his hammer with the other. He has some pity for the dwarf, whether his friends really were not real or whether he just lost it. But the dwarf is right, there is no good way out for him. Maybe there could be a good way out for them... "Let me make a suggestion, good dwarf. As we speak, there are surely hostile warforged from the church of blades or other, surrounding this place. They will be not at all happy with us. If there is no path home and no place here, why not claim a warrior's death as we try to leave?" Aanash holds up a hand towards the door. "You could provide us a distraction. In return, point us to the remains of any of your companions who were still real. We can afford to dump some gold and haul their bodies back to be resurrected."

An animalistic snarl bubbles forth from his bloodied mouth. "Saw I sa ytisortsnom emas eht yb dehcuot. Ytpme er'uoy. Enoyna ton er'uoy. mMht ton er'uoy. Em esu d'uoY" He snaps a claw aggressively in your direction, but makes no move to actually attack. A warning, for now.

Whatever the backwards dwarf is saying, he clearly makes no further attempts to move, nor shows any inclination to do so - the attempt at diplomacy appears to have failed.

With an unbothered swagger, Aanash shrugs his shoulders. This time he could make out some of what the dwarf is saying more clearly. "It's your life, sir dwarf. Spend it as you will. But if I wanted a life of peace, I would not have come to this paradise when it called me from beyond the sea," he places a hand to his chest. "And all our souls will rot, here or in Dolurrh."
To his companions, he waves a hand. "He refuses the offer, of course. Do we intend to take these remains back to be resurrected regardless? Or do we move on, and seek an exit?"

Adam shakes his head, firmly. "Of course he did. You asked him to go and commit suicide. Remember, we were hired to rescue the Kundarak Expedition, and from what I can tell, he is the only survivor. Or, if there others, he can help us find them, and get them home. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried about those claws, or his mental state. Resurrection, at this point, is not possible for them. The number of people who could bring them back after more than a minute is tiny. The number that could bring them back after more than ten days? It's not likely. What we can do is give them a more proper burial. Or we could, if we had time, and weren't facing down an army. All I can do is say a prayer over them, and try to guide their souls onwards. Whether they were the dwarves, or whether the thus far nameless survivor was right is irrelevant."
With that pro-forma lecture done, Adam looks to the survivor. "Would you object to us saying a prayer over the dead, collecting any identifying jewelry or papers that they had, and trying to give them a proper funeral, even if we can't give them a proper burial? And are there any other survivors of your expedition?"

Aanash pauses for dramatic effect as if he were going to argue. Then he chipperly continues, "I will support your decision!" The tiefling shrugs his shoulders again. "But surely, whether their bodies' preserved condition makes them easier to raise or not, we should dump some gold to bury them outside of the Mournlands? If we are being so very selfless, I think they would prefer that."

Adam shakes his head firmly at Honor's proclamation. When he speaks, his voice is soft, low, and soothing. "Honor, I understand your desire. Leaving people behind is not something that any of us want to do. But they knew the risks going in, just as we did. House Kundarak only wanted them back alive and whole, not like this. Their remembrance would be better appreciated by completing their mission in their memory, not by abandoning it for their mortal remains. Their spirits have either moved on, or have been bound." His final words are accompanied by a glance at the insane dwarf. "We don't have the time to give them a proper burial, not if we want to get out ourselves, and it isn't necessary." He gestures around, indicating the Mournlands. "This entire place... it's one giant tomb already." His voice breaks for a moment, filled with sorrow, and he falls silent for a couple of moments.
His eyes soften, before he looks at the corpses, and approaches them. "All I can do is say a few words." He approaches the trio of corpses, moving carefully so as to not disturb the mad survivor, and looks them over, quickly checking for any personally identifiable items or documents, and picking up the signet ring the mad dwarf had dropped, as evidence for the House. Then, uncaring of the blood and gore around them, he reaches down and gently closes their eyes. "May they find their journey's end in their afterlives, unbound and untormented by what happened here."
As his voice falls silent, Adam stands up fully, before looking over at Honor, Aanash, and Svek. "We need to keep moving, to find another way out."Spoiler: Current Character List:

"Reverof rehtegot eid lla ll'ew dna, kcab eb ll'uoy. Tsal t'now uoy tub, tnaw uoy fi elggurts," the dwarf mutters to themself as you pack up to leave and set about searching for an alternate exit. A comprehensive investigation of the bank proves frustratingly fruitless - there isn't one, at least not one that you can find or access. Of the already exists pathways, there is only the one: Through the massive doors you came through.
You could, of course, make your own. The surface-level walls are made of stone, but you do have a large hammer. Given a bit of time you could tunnel into an adjacent building, perhaps in hopes it might provide another exit (and not possess any additional foes), or through the rear of the bank. If your mental map is correct, this would go onto an open street. The only concern would be the noise it creates, unless you have some method with which to Silence the noise of your door-making.

Walking with the others, Aanash doesn't seem terribly bothered by the lack of exits. If anything, he looks excited as he sees the idea of smashing a new door open creeping up onto peoples' faces when the examine the walls. "I can definitely hammer this wall open... It will be quite loud," he says, rubbing his hands together. "Any ideas?"

Adam looks to Svek, and almost thankful look in his eyes. "If you can melt the wall in a timely fashion, that's going to be the best option. I don't have a way to block sound, and we don't have the time to wait for me to prepare such a way." He frowns, looking at the walls. "Depending on how resilient they prove to be, I might have the time to set up a tiny hut, which may prove useful should the warforged be out there already. Or we'll break through long before I finish the spell."
He frowns, thoughtfully for another moment as he considers the options.
